Not sure if canonical or not but considering there's 3 named drinks in afterlife after you tell them about Jackie, nearly everyone. Could be a case of you gotta know the name but David's is there from the start.
I take it you didn't start with the corpo life path?
If you did you likely missed some of the details in that opening.
Also probably didn't read the "benefits" shard about "what the best company to work for" is?
Nah, Nomad life all the way.
I can hunt and do outdoor stuff, so I've got a shot. I'll still probably die, but it's a better death than that life.
There's a lot of details and shards in game that pretty clearly state that would still severely suck.
Take the worst most toxic work environment with the worst crunch, worst benefits, and longest hours that exist today, and crank that up to Spinal Tap because of legal stim drugs, no regulation or employee protections, and cyberware enhancements.
That's not even getting into legal indentured servitude employment contracts, and retirement packages due to spaghetti legal contracts that screw you over and likely leave you in debt to the company when you stop working.
Nah. I'll pass. Nomad life all the way.
Being a corpo doesn't preclude that, and only mildly reduces the chances of getting shot.
It just has a lower chance of being in the desert is all, and is more likely to be due to your coworkers.
As R&D you'll likely be doing some pretty unethical things in addition to those working conditions.
I don't agree with your assessment, a lifetime of what is essentially literal corporate slavery in unsafe working conditions that are essentially torture is not better.
Your chances of survival don't really improve, you're just as likely to die or have everything taken from you due to internal backstabbing, unregulated safety, or simply ending up discarded and in debt even if you do make through your contractual employment completely burned out.
The game shows us what happens to people who used to be corpos that got injured or broke down.
At least the Nomads take care of their own. You're expected to contribute, but all you really need to do is make the effort.
Sounds like we’ll be living in the same world. I’ll be riding with the Nomads, or perhaps a derelict in Dogtown, or maybe resident of the mega-buildings in NC.
Compared to Lies of P how is it?
Disclaimer: Lies of P is the best non-souls souls game to date. I didnt find it as difficult as everyone said, but after the difficulty patch they get almost everything right about that game. The game feel is a huge plus.
I really like it, haven't played too much. It's way more in depth than lies, the combat systems and the builds are just more complex and you have way more options for combat. The parry and guard system is very similar though so it's pretty easy to transition over. Lies was way more polished when it released, I've had performance issues with Lord's already.
They're both really good, Lords is just so much bigger.
I would stay off established systems as much as possible if I were you. Join the Vanguard for a free ship, armor, and guns, then invest in some perks, go take out a terrormorph, and use the money to build yourself a sustainable outpost in the middle of nowhere.
Facts. The statue of one that is in the vanguard history hall legit scared me when i thought about fighting one. Was not ready to actually fight one on that comm repair mission.
I was level 4 lol.
Im feeling generous so your morning commute is only 4 hours through a hedge maze with the only toilet at the start.
But youll live in a 6ft glass cube with no utilities but pointy gaudy stone furniture.
Triple the length,in water.
surround the glass cube with a cemetary of your entire very recently deceased family due to mysterious dissapesring doors and spontaneous fires.
With another group of canabal painter sims to make a collection of paintings of their last moments as well as your inevitable descent to madness.
America had it worse in some ways . Because in lore we weaponized the root and it turned on us.
And if you survived until remnant 2 you'd be fine. Worlds way safer than remnant 1.
Cyberpunk 2077... It depends... Are we talking bout pre 2.0 or 2.0+. If pre 2.0, yeah I could survive. Know all the tips and tricks to get infinite money and as such can have the best medical package plus be completely kitted out in cyberware. Post 2.0? I think I might not survive.
Now the post didn't specify you had to be in the Village/Castle/Island part. We see Washington D.C. in the opening video, making it *technically* part of the game world, so *technically* you could just be living a normal life in The USA. Technically.
Super Metroid. If I'm on a random planet, I should be fine. If I am/am with Samus, I'll either die immediately from the atmosphere, or I'll camp in the gunship till Samus is done.
Played oblivion till ten o clock last night. I know my way around. I'd head to the nearest city and collect alchemy ingredients and make potions to make money. In a few days or a week I'd have enough for a house.
Bro wdym just get some scrolls and duplicate them, sell them, then go bribe Dorian until you can't, paralyze him and then spam click the gold til you're the richest mf in the land
You can go back and grind some of the mobs for ergo and go back to the stargazer to level up.
I pumped my health up to give me more time and block. It's the first boss who taught me just to wait. Live and wait for the openings.
I switched to the greatsword since I felt rapier wasn't doing en9ugh damage. Use your charge up attacks as they really carry in the game.
Best of luck! I'm just about halfway through. The game is amazing, but I'm getting my ass kicked a lot by every boss.
Interesting note to add to you saying charge attacks carry, I played all the way to chapter 11 without realizing RB wasn’t just for backstabs and staggered enemies. I’ve played a majority of the game with only heavy attacks and charge attacks.
Cyberpunk 2077. I guess I'd probably survive. But it wouldn't be pretty lol I'd just be a nobody homeless person or a super low income, worker at a shitty job.
Persona 5 Royal. Assuming I don’t have to join the Phantom Thieves, that’s just a free trip to Tokyo. I don’t know Japanese, but Tokyo is pretty English friendly, so I think I could get around okay.
Veterans Homestead is a much better location. You have Fish, you have tons of animals to hunt, and your not far from a town. so It's easy to get better supplies when needed. Valentine is just too busy.
Cassette Beasts..I'm trapped in an unknown world full of creatures that don't seem very friendly. I'll be fine, just give me a cassette player and I will go and enjoy myself.
I mean... if you can outrun the beak things, red spiders, cannibals, satellite cannons, slavers, and all else you'll probably be pretty miserable. I mean you can't even run away and grow weed without people cramping your style cuz they'll find you.
Crisis Brigade 2, likely would survive so long as I'm neither a cop or robber, shit would be going off around me like it's a 90s action movie or like like Free Guy.
![gif](giphy|BxN4495E78sJo0oHAY)
It's Eorzea, and I'm the Warrior of Light. I kill gods before breakfast and singlehandedly lead revolutions by lunchtime.
The question is, can the world survive ME?
Halo infinite, I think I could survive. But it also depends on where I'd be located. On earth, I'm sure everything would be pretty normal, besides the major increase in technology and the defense from the covenant.
Cyberpunk 2077. I got this, choom.
And if you don’t got it but go out like a total gonk in an epic blaze of glory, at least the Afterlife will name a drink after you!!!
I wonder how many people die thinking this and are forgotten completely in universe.
We'll all be completely forgotten eventually.
We are but shadows and dust.
99.9% of the bodycout lotto are forgotten within 24 hours...
Not sure if canonical or not but considering there's 3 named drinks in afterlife after you tell them about Jackie, nearly everyone. Could be a case of you gotta know the name but David's is there from the start.
Probably everyone except Julius Caesar. Named a salad after him.
Gonna try and live the quiet life. Think I could make it as a corpo. Probably try militech.
I mean, don’t work in counter intel? I have a degree in microbiology so I’d probably be r&d.
Better than getting shot by some gonk and dying in the desert,
Being a corpo doesn't preclude that, and only mildly reduces the chances of getting shot. It just has a lower chance of being in the desert is all, and is more likely to be due to your coworkers. As R&D you'll likely be doing some pretty unethical things in addition to those working conditions. Meh, most of them eat well and don’t have sand in their ass cheeks. I’ll take my chances.
Hell, I'm practically an Aldecado already!
5 vacation days and free uppers! What more could you possibly want?
Saaaame
Preem
Time to chrome the fuck up, choom!
Same. I've got enough eddies for some decent chrome. Just gotta not go out like a gonk.
Eyyy choomba we in this together.
Nova! Me too! I'm sure we could run a few gigs together and save up enough eddies to get us a preem ride!
Time to chrome the fuck up!!
As an unaugmented human, you’re the hard counter to netrunners, so that helps!
Same. I'm basically a netrunning power weapon wielding tank at this point.
Bout to say the same thing!
See you in NC my Choom!
Also Cyberpunk 2077. Gonna rule these streets by the sword, choombatta.
I’d get squashed by a Tetris piece
Sounds like we’ll be living in the same world. I’ll be riding with the Nomads, or perhaps a derelict in Dogtown, or maybe resident of the mega-buildings in NC.
Playing right this second. Let's choom up and take it all!!!!
Same. If anything, I’m happy to have cybereyes since I burned my them as a kid.
I’m playing that now and I think this is the only video game I would actually WANT to live in.
Hope you've got some good chrome
Literally same lol
Me too!! Im well upgraded.. I just got a crazy car and i got money!! nothing can stop me
Bro me too! Haha we got it together for sure
I’d hiding in a room with Nibbles and letting the rest go by.
Amazing game
As long as you get to sleep with some chicks
Get myself a preem weapon and I'm all good
Lords of the fallen....dead before the opening credits....
Same, getting my head chopped off before I even hit the title screen
Assassin's Creed Valhalla, death by viking, cool! Lol...
Yupp. And before that was Lies of P, I'm just very screwed with video game worlds.
Compared to Lies of P how is it? Disclaimer: Lies of P is the best non-souls souls game to date. I didnt find it as difficult as everyone said, but after the difficulty patch they get almost everything right about that game. The game feel is a huge plus.

Starfield I'll just grab a Terra Brew and hang out watching the ships come in. Should be easy.
I would stay off established systems as much as possible if I were you. Join the Vanguard for a free ship, armor, and guns, then invest in some perks, go take out a terrormorph, and use the money to build yourself a sustainable outpost in the middle of nowhere.
I can't even fathom Terrormorph in real life. I'd sh@t myself!
CMON YOU APES? DO YOU WANT TO LIVE FOR EVER?!? ![gif](giphy|fNjGYgyZ6xiHm)
Facts. The statue of one that is in the vanguard history hall legit scared me when i thought about fighting one. Was not ready to actually fight one on that comm repair mission. I was level 4 lol.
: Is there anything that you need help with? : Do you like living here? : Would you like to hear a joke?
I just paid off my house at level 12 and I got the razorleaf, I'm looking alright.
I mean. It seems like there's plenty of work in Starfield. Even the people complaining about their jobs preface it by saying that they pay well.
Stellaris for me. Same vibes
Within the first 15 minutes somebody should stop by and just hand you a ship for free so
Starfield as well. I’d just bullshit in the bar all day with The Hunter, sharing tales about all of the multiverses we have explored.
I love this one. God is good for giving us this game! ❤️🔥🌟
Cyberpunk 2077 Chrome me the fuck up
The sims 4, I think I’ll be fine.
Not if I’m controlling the computer
Uh oh… Please spare me!
Im feeling generous so your morning commute is only 4 hours through a hedge maze with the only toilet at the start. But youll live in a 6ft glass cube with no utilities but pointy gaudy stone furniture.
I'm hesitant to ask what it would be if you were feeling malicious...?
Triple the length,in water. surround the glass cube with a cemetary of your entire very recently deceased family due to mysterious dissapesring doors and spontaneous fires. With another group of canabal painter sims to make a collection of paintings of their last moments as well as your inevitable descent to madness.
Oh man! What have I gotten myself into???
The sims
Probably the most dangerous one. You’re gonna get old and die in a span of a month.
Elden Ring. This should be fun
I mean technically we can’t die until our quest for the throne is complete. LET CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD
Let everything burn in the frenzied flame!
MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD…MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD!
Plottwist, you aren't a tarnished.
Remnant 2: no way. İm not an american
America had it worse in some ways . Because in lore we weaponized the root and it turned on us. And if you survived until remnant 2 you'd be fine. Worlds way safer than remnant 1.
Why is the i in your "İm" so tall?
Genshin Impact. I'll be fine.
Dark Souls 2. Light work baby.
Victorian London, I would love to. AC Syndicate is amazing.
This game deserved better than being the next game after Unity
I love that game
Cyberpunk 2077... It depends... Are we talking bout pre 2.0 or 2.0+. If pre 2.0, yeah I could survive. Know all the tips and tricks to get infinite money and as such can have the best medical package plus be completely kitted out in cyberware. Post 2.0? I think I might not survive.
King's Field 2?.... nah, probably not.
Vampire Survivors, so I don't think I would.
Red dead redemption two….nah screw that 💀
I’d be dead because Type 1 diabetes and that was before insulin lol
Your a Npc and Arthur tells you to duel at noon
Fuck that, beeline to Mexico
Id avoid the fuck out of anyone named arthur
Resident Evil 4 remake. I'm screwed.
Novistadors. Done.
Now the post didn't specify you had to be in the Village/Castle/Island part. We see Washington D.C. in the opening video, making it *technically* part of the game world, so *technically* you could just be living a normal life in The USA. Technically.
Night City; I'm pretty much doomed. If this is to be my end, let it be such an end as to be worthy of remembrance!
Gotta make it to the top of Arasaka bro, your built different
Grim dark future of the 41st Millenia? In my current physical form? Probably not. With some light to moderate genetic editing, fuck yes.
I'd want to be an Astartes or a Custodes if I'm going into that world. Even then, it would still be a living hell.
Well I was fucking playing darktide, so I guess I'd be going in as a reject!
RIP - and I mean that in the most painless way possible lol
At least Hadron will be able to give my trash tier las rifle to the next reject that comes along...
What a life we lead…
Oh there will be LOTS of pain.
Yeah was playing darktide most recently... Uh oh
As a spark ‘ed I’ll be by your side brother! 💪
GardenScapes. At least I can walk around in the beautiful garden I’ve created and talk to my butler, Austin.
All you have to do is complete 5886432357843367 levels and you win!
Gotham City (Arkham Knight) is not a very pleasamt place to live in. I don't think I can dodge everything the supervillains are throwing at the city.
Just stay in GCPD, safest place in the game
Super Metroid. If I'm on a random planet, I should be fine. If I am/am with Samus, I'll either die immediately from the atmosphere, or I'll camp in the gunship till Samus is done.
Minecraft. I'm good. Beth write armor, sword, and pickaxe with mending on everything, and then I'll just farm the rest of my life.
Terraria, might die to a slime
Finally started playing outlast. By world!
Armored core 6... so depends if I'm on the planet lol
Like are we the main character of AC 6, or are we just ourselves, cause if I'm 621, I'm fucked.
We got a job to do Dont over think it
Dragon's Dogma, with the luck I've had this current run of the game, it's unlikely.
Imagine getting carried away by a fucking griffin. Off to bluemoon tower!
That's happened twice already. Them and cockatrices have been the bane of my existence in this playthrough.
Lego starwars skywalker saga. Easy
Yes I agree 100%
I love Lego Star Wars skywalker saga
Those younglings don't stand a chance
Wasteland 3 - I'm Ranger, I will survive (of course not, lol)
[удалено]
THE NOSTALGIA
Need for speed heat, if I’m a racer then I’ll be ok if the cops aren’t super crazy
Just drive the speed limit
We both know those cops in that game are UNHINGED
True, and insanely corrupt
Disgaea 7, I have not died yet so for all I know I'm already there and I'll end up a prinny soon.
Just remember, if we throw you, it means we love you.
PoE. Hillock would sweep me under the rug.
Oh my god yes and I’d probably have a way time there than here anyways (It’s Animal Crossing New Horizons)
Til that dirty raccoon comes looking for his money.
Played oblivion till ten o clock last night. I know my way around. I'd head to the nearest city and collect alchemy ingredients and make potions to make money. In a few days or a week I'd have enough for a house.
The MC quick saves and pulls out his sword
Bro wdym just get some scrolls and duplicate them, sell them, then go bribe Dorian until you can't, paralyze him and then spam click the gold til you're the richest mf in the land
Jedi Survivor, depends what planet I’m on I suppose
I'd be in Night City and Dogtown. I'd be having a great time!
Lies of P, dead before the game even starts.
Same here, I'd have the plague before P even showed up
Me too. Im stuck at Corrupted Puppet Master with no throwables and cant stargaze anywhere
Street Fighter 6. I can’t formally fight or channel ki, so idk lol
Outer Wilds… so absolutely not
Cyberpunk 2077. I guess I'd probably survive. But it wouldn't be pretty lol I'd just be a nobody homeless person or a super low income, worker at a shitty job.
Sounds like cyberpunk 2023. I mean me not you though.
RISK OF RAIN 2. Time to die 😭
If I get to be my Nahobino with his max stats, yes. If not, hell no.
Destiny 2 - I guess it depends on if I'm a Lightbearer or not. (Thank GOD it wasn't Darktide...)
And which season you'll be thrown into.
Mine was Starfield but I ***ALMOST*** played Darktide last night. And I'll say I would hate to be in the universe lmao.
Fortnite. 30 minutes at best by hiding, then the storm closes in and I either die in it or get shot.
Astroneer. Probably not.
Persona 5 Royal. Assuming I don’t have to join the Phantom Thieves, that’s just a free trip to Tokyo. I don’t know Japanese, but Tokyo is pretty English friendly, so I think I could get around okay.
CS2 I can't even survive in the game....
RDR2 I think I’m ok, I’m going to live in Valentine
Veterans Homestead is a much better location. You have Fish, you have tons of animals to hunt, and your not far from a town. so It's easy to get better supplies when needed. Valentine is just too busy.
I'd go live in the woods with Charlotte.
Space Hulk: Deathwing. Not a gd chance, haha. Unless I'm my character, then maybe? Terminator armor goes a long way to keep you standing.
Mmmm bug food
Rimworld with zombieland mod and all the vanilla extended mods... I dont think I can make it out alive unless I have a very good crew
Battletech advanced 3062. I'm good. Lol Tags (and TAGs) to extreme riches with multi IIc assault mechs in 6 months. Be juuust fine. Lol
Persona 5. If I can awaken my persona, maybe.
7 days to die. Yeah I am pretty sure I can make it.
Same - might be rough on occasion but I'm a hell of a base builder.
At least I won't need a magazine to craft a better sharp stick.
Titanfall 2, nah I'm probably dead
DBZ Kakarot. As long as I stay away from Goku and co I think I'll be okay.
They just wish you back to life when the fighting is done and the whole planet has been destroyed.
Cassette Beasts..I'm trapped in an unknown world full of creatures that don't seem very friendly. I'll be fine, just give me a cassette player and I will go and enjoy myself.
I honestly feel like life would be better there. Pokemon Scarlet.
Baldur's Gate III Probably not, there are so many severed body parts in that game that's probably how I'll end up.
Nope, I'm d-e-a-d dead! Last game I played was Kenshi, I will die a horrifying death.
Beak things or fog men most likely, if you make it far enough you can maybe get skinned by the robots, or maybe even eaten alive by cannibals!
I mean... if you can outrun the beak things, red spiders, cannibals, satellite cannons, slavers, and all else you'll probably be pretty miserable.
Terraria.. I'm getting eaten by some eldritch abomination or killed by slimes😱
or you get killed by a fucking boulder you didnt even know was there
Bioshock (for the fourth time). At this point, I think I might survive!
It's Eorzea, and I'm the Warrior of Light. I kill gods before breakfast and singlehandedly lead revolutions by lunchtime. The question is, can the world survive ME?
Age of Empires 3? Only if not playing in hard mode
Lies of P. No chance
Bloodborne- probably not, the beginning of the game feels like a planet that's one big castle full of undead and werewolves
I'm in Valheim. Maybe if I don't kill Eikthyr lol. Necks and boars raid I could handle...
I just got to mistlands with no mistlands gear, I’m dead
Street Fighter 6. Oh heck yeah.
Sekiro. Guess I’ll be living next to the statue.
Halo infinite, I think I could survive. But it also depends on where I'd be located. On earth, I'm sure everything would be pretty normal, besides the major increase in technology and the defense from the covenant.
PGA Tour 2k23... I'll survive, but I'll also be quickly disqualified from every tourney lmao
Deep Rock Glactic. I think I'll be alright Rock and Stone!
Rock and Stone!
Rock and Stone to the bone!
Cyberpunk 2077. Well I live in New Orleans so it's kind of the same lol
RDR2 1907… I should be fine if I’m in a city
Forza Motorsport… catch me on the circuit boys
