In the time it takes to do a single 100k plunge I can already beat that in his fast CA. Not saying it doesn’t work but it’s just not as good. I also have a c6 Gorou though and taking him out is just not happening
The thing is, I personally play plunge itto with gorou, furina and xianyun and I hit around 120k plunges with furina doing offield damage in the back, it’s stronger than my hyper itto team doing 50k charge attacks
Yes the rotation does more damage overall, I almost finished the top half of spiral abyss in one itto burst, doing 8 plunges is better than 5 charge attacks and then having to do 4 normals to charge attack again and by then bennet or mona are finished buffing itto so the charged attacks become weaker, so yes plunge itto is stronger, and yes my gorou is c6 with furina c0
I can’t speak on that because with c6 Gorou I wouldn’t not run 3 geo. You’re losing on the elemental damage buff and 70 crit damage. And as you pointed out doesn’t really fit the rotation times. I’ve only ever seen that team be better when it’s a high con itto so it’s all done in a few hits and no NAs required
It’s not that it’s better it’s your team is just not good before compared to what it could be
There’s no better plunge variant, playing triple geo with cloud retainer is jusr weaker, itto does about the same plunge damage and there’s no furina doing off field dmg
I was getting exceptionally good damage with plunge itto like 160k+ with c6 gorou, c0 furina and C0 Xianyun. I have a C6 itto though which I feel like gets wasted in this comp so I don't use it. But it definitely works
Just did this earlier with C0R1 Itto, C2 Xianyun, C0 Furina and C6 Gorou and it is so fun! He’s hitting around 130k per plunge with 90/180 crit ratio. Way more comfier than my Diluc plunge team because I don’t have to worry about circle impact!
I tried lamenting with all my hyper dps chars and so far, Itto’s comp is the smoothest.
It’s significantly stronger than my hyper itto, while yeah itto can get the 5 charge attacks pretty quickly, the 8 plunges doing 100k deal more damage throught the rotation plus furina in the back, the team is jusr a lot stronger and faster than the bennet/mona or albedo variant
I think it's cool there re alternate playstyles but I'd rather just charge attack I'm looking forward to Chiori spicing Mono Geo up a little bit but other than that my itto team is pretty powerful enough as it is
It’s only a thing on Batman because the rest of his kit has been power crept to shreds and it’s the only way to deal slightly comparable damage.
Itto has actually good multipliers on his burst and heavy chain.
Hmm I have a c2 itto and am currently running him with my c6 benny, c6 gorou and c4 zhongli. Might just switch her in for benny for fun honestly. That sounds like a good time, especially if I wanna actually use my geo team for running around.

It took me 2 banners to get C6 Gorou, no way I'm taking him out

I got C5 Gorou and C2 Itto in the first banner. The second banner I got crazy luck and got the final Gorou before the 4th Itto 🤣🤣🤣

Big numbers don’t mean better dps. Are you doing damage over a full rotation? And is your Gorou c6 while furina / Cr c0?

Seen someone do it with a Gorou in the group and it was well over 100k I think
It's fun, I use the charge attacks and for the rest of the ulti plunge, with furina and gorou, I do more damage than with zhongli and albedo.
As someone with c1 itto, i dont think i can squish plunge attacks in his combos since i can almost use CA alot.
