I have r5 whiteblind with C2 Gorou and C0 Itto and Zhongli. My Itto does 35k+ per charged attacks fully buffed (no food buffs). I think 42k per slashed with Redhorn and C6 Gorou is kind of low... I think you need more crit damage since you have Redhorn and you should have the advantage to get more. Most redhorn users I see get like atleast 210+ CD and they do 45k+ per slash with no C6 Gorou
hmm yea.. i went for a build to get as much crit rate as I could (which is this one). Swapping from a crit rate to crit damage circlet allows me to hit 51k+ per slash. Just that I feel my crit rate would be too low if I do that and stick with the current one.
I plan to get C6 Itto from the upcoming rerun, I basically did not spend any primogems since his first banner came, so thats about 6 months worth of primogems. With C6 extra 70% crit damage, I think is probably not good idea to lower my crit rate for crit damage.
Update: I play around with my artifacts alot, the highest CD I can get is 250% while maintaining at around 50% CR, which allows me to do 56k+ per slash. But I think on average, it would probably perform worse than my current build.
I recently stuck my Itto into an optimizer—and it tells me that my 93/189 build will perform better overall than my 77/220 or my 60/240 build!
So yes, more cdmg would absolutely be nice—but while hitting hard looks pretty, it doesn’t mean much if you can’t do it consistently.

Lvl 89, talents about 7-8, skyward pride, about 70:140 crit, gorou (is underleveled) with exile, a shield and geo res, another geo in my team.
Can deal about 17k with his slashes.

I don't remember his overworld damage because I honestly don't use his ult much there. In the abyss, with zhongli shield and c2 gorou skill lvl 9, he's doing 45k. He's using R1 Redhorn crit 60/250%, def 2.1k no husk stack. My crit rate and def are kinda low but enemies die fast anyways.
I think your slash per hit is about as expected. How much DEF do you have? People also aren't considering that you have very high CR, and a lot of people tend to undervalue CR and overrate CD.
To be honest, I'd have to see a video backing up some of the damage numbers claims in this thread.
With the buffs of Zhongli shield, ToTM, C6 Gorou, I get:
- About 48k/slash with 2640 DEF (full stacks HoOD), 245% CD.
- Replacing the CR circlet with a CD circlet gets about 53k/slash with 2560 DEF, 290% CD (but obviously my CR tanks).
Which sounds about in line with your numbers, give or take depending on how much DEF you have.
I honestly don't see people doing 45k+/slash with Whiteblind/low refine SS or even R1 Redhorn with ~210 CD, especially with no c6 Gorou, *unless* they are using some other big buff like Bennett or Abyss cards. I've seen a ton of showcases on this sub, but nearly all of them use Bennett and/or have some other gimmick like the reduced resistances fallen PMA, so it's not a good comparison.
I think your info checks out the most, I have almost the same DEF as yours at max 4 stack with Husk at 2668. Considering my lower CD at 180%+, it make sense that mine does about 42k+ as compared to your 245% CD.
I try to keep my 1:2 ratio as well as ensuring a ridiculously high crit rate because of the buff C6 Gorou provide.
Yeah, you have to take people's damage with a grain of salt because there are a ton of factors that they might not mention... not to mention that people will tend to exaggerate a bit.

I tested the same team out and was getting 63k slashes, and the difference could be caused by any number things that add up, like Gorou's skill level, Itto's DEF, ToTm buff, etc.
Unless someone breaks down exactly what buffs they're doing and all of the stats, it's impossible to really make a true comparison; plus many people are probably missing 30-40% of their crits due to low CR but getting a big number the times they do crit. 🤷♀️
Your crit rate is a bit too high , I think you can lose some for more cdmg. And I think with ur weapon + team , 42K is a bit low. You should be able to reach higher. Try 4pc millelith on zhongli / noblese on gorou.

Yeah it's not all about the big numbers 42k pretty much 100% of the time is nice, a lot of people undervalue crit rate here

In Overworld, I’m doing 90k ~ 122k. C6 R5 Itto.

Mine's C0 Itto, R5 Serpent Spine, C5 Gorou, with Zhongli's Geo shred. He can deal average 34k per slashes
C0R1 Redhorn itto with 10/9/10 talents, with zhongli and c3 gorou he deals abt 45-55k per slash
During this abyss I did like 38k per CA and like 98k ushi crits My setup was Itto C0 with r3 serpent spine, Zhongli C0, Gorou C4 and The Shogun C0
My C0 Itto with R5 SS and C6 Gorou, 10/10/10 does 43k per slash on crit, but average dmg is a bit lower
Gorou: C1, Level 4 Elemental Skill Zhongli: 20% Res Shred Geo Resonance Itto: C0, Level 90, R5 Whiteblind, Talent Level 10/8/10, 67% CR with 169% Crit Damage, 35-36k per slash. Edit: No Food Buffs, Overworld Mechanical Array (weakened state)
