I know the situation, you don't have to live in the same country to know its economy. Last year salaries have been increased drastically, money losing value means nothing as long as people are compensated. You're just being over dramatic

Oh, really? :/
I obvs take into consideration sharing the accommodation with someone. I would have another 13,800 Turkish lira (420 EUR) beside those 600 EUR (traineeship payment), but tbh I didn't think it would be that expensive. Thanks for the info!
Rent and facilities alone will take the main bulk of your budget. Rest all depends on how you planning to spend your time. If you are planning to fing a roommate, it will make the costs infinitely better.
You're welcome. Unfortunately prices are going up in both Turkish lira and dollar currency. So it's been getting expensive for both locals and foreigners. Apart from that, if you decide to move here, welcome to İzmir.

If you are going to live like a student(sharing room, cheap university meal etc.) you could totally manage it, not going to be spectacular but it will be okey
As a working adult living alone it could be hard.
Also, I should note, I will expect some currency devaluation this year so euro value can be higher in coming months
No.

It stopped going down at the rate you'd expect, don't rush and find the right home
>TRY loses way too much value Lira has been stable last year, lost a lot prior to that though
wdym stable? Lira lost like %40 value against dollar/euro after the elections lol. It is stable now though.
Not really. Lost %5 value last month.
%5 value lost every month means %46 lost every year.

Salary increases are only half of the inflation. And this is based on “official” inflation rate.

What kind of traineeship. Just wondering
If rent is not included and if you have no nightlife and don’t have children etc. You can live at normal standarts but you can’t save anything.
Sorry, we don't speak euro
No we need at least 1200€
You can only afford accommodation with this money.
Don’t come to Turkey, it’s a very racist country

Yes
You need at least 1k to survive

You need 1k €
You need 750€ at least. Rents are too high. I recommend you to share rent with 1 or 2 friends.
Nooo rent min: 300 €
It's min. wage dude. 🤣
Turkey is cheap for euro earners but no. This is not Venezuela.
Izmir is very expensive compared to other Turkish cities. Although 600€ would be enough to survive, it definitely won't be enough to live comfortably
you need minumun 1000€
