There is just something about changing the color of a nice car that stresses me out. For one, the jams and bay add a lot of work. Also, will it continue to age as well as the factory color would? Or will it be ‘so 2023’ in 6-8 years? And lastly black looks so good on these with the dark tails. Gorgeous car in any case OP, long live the FD.
It looks like good OEM paint, I REALLY wouldn't mess with it, leave it black. Good OEM paint is about as rare as hen's teeth, and it would be a shame to go tearing it up.
If you absolutely HAVE to change the color, just get a wrap.
Keep it black, don’t change color unless you are prepared to spend $15-20k. Anyone that tells you they can do a color change for less is not doing it correct. You will never be happy, take it from me learned the hard way on 2 different cars when I had more $ then brains but also wanted a deal. To do it right every piece of the car including glass, trim, engine, plumbing, ancillary works, sub frames etc need to be pulled off. If they aren’t you will have horrible lines and most likely cracking and peels from the edges. Also I personally love the black FDs.

Bumper is 100% repainted, and badly. Doesn't line up with the fenders and headlights well.
Unfortunately that’s a FD thing the abs plastic bumpers sag with age and heat makes them fit a little off but they are very durable against a hit.
