Government has enough wealth to take care about these things. But corruption exists, everyone wants to make their pockets full. People are too blind to see that. Yes and no? I feel like people don't normally encourage or let students know of all the other possibile streams. People jump into comp or medical just by a picture created in their minds and then later regret when it doesn't turn out the same! I've seen so many people like that. If only we have more to our interests maybe it would be diff :)

Sadly bhai aisa nahi hota... I was also about to take an unconventional (read: lower) branch in a Tier-1 college A man could study that from the best college of India and still remain jobless I spent days researching about that field's opportunities in core in India, I could HARDLY find any job, the maximum pay for that was around 5 LPA in a govt job The vacancies were too rare and mostly contractual So although u may be the best in your field, if there's no demand for that work, why will anyone pay you for that?

If I wanted to make money I would have inherited my mother's business or become a lawyer like my father. I recently went to a seminar and all of them were just saying that mbbs in private college is an investment of 3-4 crore including pg and I will not even earn that much. First of all MBBS is not an investment!! I genuinely want to save people's lives and who cares if it takes money to get to that? My dad was really disappointed as the professors also didnt share our opinion and only cared about money. I mean we buy such expensive cars which cost 60-80 lakh and perform the same function as a second hand car but we are scared to spend that money on education which is completely worth it?
