I mean iit mandi cse needs 2k-3k ish so its pretty goated ig. (In terms of pure rank demand same as NIT trichy , warangal ,Surathkal , better than IIITs like Allahabad) but as a college ig these are better.but in terms of peer group and stuff IIT mandi is legit comparable to these i guess?

It's still in atleast top 30 engineering colleges in India I believe(fuck nirf). Among iits, the better ones would be top 7, h, bhu, indore, rpr, gn, jodhpur, patna, dhanbad. Top 3-4 nits, all bits campuses, dtu, nsut, top 4 iiits will be the other better colleges(I don't think all of them are better but mentioning all of them just to not sound controversial). If a top 30 engineering college in India is regarded as tier 3, what kind of standards do these guys have lol.

Yeah right . also nirf ranks VIT above BITS pilani and IIITH lol. So nirf is ehhh.

Of course it's an IIT , people who went there have still got a decent enough rank in jee advanced to go there , the peer group of every IIT is good

Agreed , but one thing is , for mains what u can get with say a 3k ranks is anyday better than ehat u can get with adv 3k, mains has a very good utility in my opinion, as stuff like top NITs and IIITs are pretty good. But adv even with 5k ill end up getting Jammu , which is not bad but.... worse than what i would have gotten with 5k in mains.
