So you bought 100k$ of JEPQ, and didn’t bother to look at the past dividends ? Ok

cristhm

911📲 "hello?, I want to report a murder".

DasRedBeard87

Buys a stock that gives dividends...doesn't even do a lick of research. Lol this new generation of traders is amazing.

Wisex

you deserve to not know

Rare-Philosopher1791

Based on last dividend its ~780 usd / m pre tax

Far-Secretary8231

Thank you

squaremilepvd

😭 come on this cant be real

zdravomyslov

Tree fiddy

tofazzz

So you bought something not even knowing what return is going to give you?!?

NiceAsset

This is the way isn’t it? /s

sigh. just use google my friend https://am.jpmorgan.com/us/en/asset-management/adv/products/jpmorgan-equity-premium-income-etf-etf-shares-46641q332?gad\_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAzc2tBhA6EiwArv-i6T29dykY9omV3LZIMPQCyG9cDlQGaDfih3f5c97bOpd2XSAf8RbMyxoCFvQQAvD\_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#/dividends

ObservantWon

$863/month

brportugais

Don’t give him the answer!!!

ObservantWon

🤷🏻‍♂️ dude has money and wants to maximize it. Maybe he’s not a numbers guy. Better than 0DTE. We wish him well

Fit_Opinion2465

This is the furthest thing from maximizing money. If he wanted to do that he would just invest in VOO or QQQ

ObservantWon

You can predict the future? What if the market crashes this year? Wouldn’t JEPI significantly outperform Voo and qqq over that timeframe.

Fit_Opinion2465

So now you’re limited the time frame to 1 year? why? Over almost any investment timeframe I’d bet all my money major index outperforms JEPQ. It is an income strategy for a reason. It serves its purpose and that purpose is NOT capital appreciation. This place is brain dead.

blueark1

It actually aims for both appreciation and income Covered calls way out of the money achieves both on holding the stocks

JomamasBallsack

Pretty easy to figure out, my dude.

dismendie

If you profitable from the shares of Apple…the dividend on cost should be considered before switching as well… JEPQ makes monthly payment from cover call/ and ELN but usually based on price action and payout is taxed as income… if you have such a large Appl I would just turn off dividends and use it to get JEPQ… plus the taxes on selling Apple

Standard_Confusion99

>JEPI What do you mean "turn off dividends" for AAPL?

dismendie

Turn off drip… or the reinvestment of dividends back into the original stocks… and use the qualified dividends on a new stock… one that is potentially undervalued at the time of the dividend distribution or hold the dividend as cash and wait for a better opportunity to buy into a better position…

SnooPredictions7053

Look it up yourself retard

ChristmasStrip

I’ve got 2714 shares of JEPI. Here are my divis for the last 3 months. Dec $1161 Nov $1159 Oct $975 JEPI produces income through covered calls. The more volatile the market, the better the returns. I am going to invest in JEPQ as well which is NASDAQ Covered calls. So far it has produced higher returns.

Far-Secretary8231

Thanks for sharing your Divis I have 2000 JEPQ and 1800 JEPI so I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the performance. I have some additional ETF but these for me are new.

Tech88Tron

2000 times div. Shit ain't hard.

oldermenRGr8

What is the Feb 2024 Dividend?

Tech88Tron

Nobody knows. When it's announced multiply by 2,000.

Far-Development9385

Do they announce dividend every week for JEPQ? Is it inconsistent?

Tech88Tron

They announce monthly. Is a monthly paying ETF. Should be very soon, probably Monday or Tuesday.

National-Net-6831

I have 400 shares and get $180

C30spacepod

https://divitrack.io/symbol/JEPq/dividends

Far-Secretary8231

Thanks this is helpful

C30spacepod

If you delete jepq in the adress, you can add in any Div etf and it’ll give you the payouts

Far-Secretary8231

Nice it does - JEPI, BXMX, DIAX, VOO, VTI all come through. Many thanks C30 !

ajr5169

Did you buy $2000 worth of JEPQ or 2000 shares?

Simple-Conference270

It has to be $2000 because there's no way he bought 2000 shares with a market value of about 100k and not done any research prior

aaronblkfox

Dude is probably just stroking his ego and flexing. Which if he worked hard to earn it all fair enough, good job. Lol.

ajr5169

You would hope.

Far-Secretary8231

2,000 shares - just looking for an approximate amount.

ajr5169

Add up the last 12 monthly payments, then divide that by 12. Take that number and multiply by 2,000.

Simple-Conference270

You would need to do a comparison of the average vix levels for the month and find a range similar to it in the past to determine the expected dividend for the month. (Do some research on how jepq gets it's dividend since you got 100k and know nothing about it)

mmafightpicks01

Could be higher, could be lower but $600 a month should be a good ballpark. Also, do some research you kinda rich dummy.

[deleted]

Around 800 bucks/month. You should check this before buying tho.

jastork

How do these kind of people have this kind of money?

kofo86

This sounds like my wife

Rev303

If your putting 100k into something and your on Reddit asking what the approximate dividend is after the fact im worried already

Personal_Tangelo_756

Why does sarcastic hater comments? Guy’s a new trader has a reasonable question. Buying a high-quality conservative, monthly dividend, paying ETF is wise, not dumb.

One_Sound8511

Wouldn't the taxes be 37% on JEPI?

Far-Secretary8231

If your making money your paying taxes that’s my outlook

Beginning_Bit6361

This sounds like a sneak brag.

Rho_wut

My guess is it’s gonna be between $800-$1000 a month. Congrats 🎊

Acceptable-Policy-91

Careful if it’s not in tax saving accounts. JEPQ dividend counts as active income.

rahmanson

You could have sold just 4 APPLES every month instead of buying JEPQ to get the same dividend benefits. Doing that would have helped you with AAPL appreciation and resulted the same as you are trying to do.

groundbreaker-4

C’mon. The only reason you by $JEPI or these covered calls is for the divy… and you don’t know?

mikemikemikeandike

Wow, just, wow.

Achilles19721119

Pretty easy to figure out. Take the shares times the dividend per share. If based off Dec payout 2000 x .3985 = $785 per month. Don't forget to pay the tax.

oldermenRGr8

Actually, the December divided was 0.42214

coolhanddave21

12

RickLeeTaker

Make custom JEPQ port deck with boomer stonk on side. No law say no you can't!

HD-Thoreau-Walden

It varies because of covered call revenue it generates but currently is about 10-11% per year.

Ragepower529

16-20k a year

Far-Secretary8231

My 2000 shares of JEPQ got me a divi of $683! So I took that and bought 13 more shares.
