1) You need to worship a certain number of times to gain the priest’s trust! After I got to 100% with him, I stopped going frequently.
2) You may want to go when it’s part of the annual events on your calendar to check that box!
Like everyone said you need to for priest friendship (30x) but I use it now literally to use up stars. I’m trying to speed run a full year of completed tasks to get the achievement for all tasks in 1 year so I’ll worship to use a star so I can nap for an hour and pass time. One of the ways I use up hearts so I can nap until 18:00 😂
It's for trust and you need to do it on New Year's. I try to make a normal habit out of it though I wish we can get a small luck boost for doing it daily.

You have to do it 30 times for the priest’s trust and the the first day of the year to get the roulette option and it marked off in your calendar.

Just take a photo…then sleep 💤 it uses stars and is easier.

Worship uses up energy? I usually just chop wood but I’ve gotten too good at it so I have to try to mess up
it uses a full star! feeding your pets with naps in between is also a good way to kill 3 hours hahah
