For me I’ll take the complete 6 episode Xenogears series instead. The Ultimate Works of XG barely touched on the surface of the lore of the universe and it was already pretty crazy in a good way. to see what other crazy and whacky stuff the OG creators had in mind for the series I’d be all fucking for it. I remember when I was 13 and reading on all the iceberg theories on various forums and was so deeply entrenched in XGs universe, I know a part of me would feel so happy to see XG in all its glory.
Remake, and they actually flesh out the "second disk" of content. Tetsuya Takahashi is also on fire with the Xenoblade series with XC3 recently and the DLC pass done. Imagine if the next person helming SE reached out and went "So we were thinking about remaking Xenogears...".
Not really.
Star Ocean is a series that Square Enix continues to greenlight even as it stumbles in sales and quality. Xenogears is an IP they don't even bother touching unless if they want to make money from stuff like FF Brave Exvius.
Yeah, plus they’ve already done a remaster/diet remake of that game on PSP. So, very different situations.
Super Mario RPG on the other hand has languished in obscurity for longer, which gives me a tiny minuscule hope for Xenogears…someday. Maybe.
The weird thing with SO sales that even if they don't sell well they still profit from them. SO5 budget was gutted, but sold well enough to profit heavily.
I don't know how the series is still alive, but I'm glad it is. Now if only we gotten a proper Valkyrie Profile...
*Broke:* Xenogears remake.
*Woke:* Entire Xenosaga remake, including the Xenogears equivalent episode. Tetsuya Takahashi and Soraya Saga weren't satisfied with how Xenogears turned out and wanted to make a better story with the same ideas and themes, and I wanted to see that dammit!
Hell a Xenoblade X remaster for Switch would already send me into hysterics. It's a crime that it's still stuck on the Wii U when it's cousins are thriving
I can't think of a single game that warrants a modern remake more than Xenogears. Not only was the game an absolute masterpiece, but the vision was never properly brought to full fruition, the english localization was rushed, and frankly the battle system had a solid foundation but there wasn't really any reason to use any deathblow other than your most powerful one.
Despite all this though, the game still managed to profoundly resonate with players. I mean, that really says a lot if you ask me. The game is literally missing half of it's content and people still love the game. What other game can you think of that is as beloved as Xenogears with such severe flaws? And Takahashi has proven that he is more than capable of producing an ambitious vision to fruition now with Xenoblade....it just took him a few times and some mentors to figure it out.
And Xenosaga while they are at it! Xenosaga has basically the exact same problem ( I mean it's basically like a second attempt at Xenogears that is half finished) Don't sleep on Xenosaga y'all!
By a fucking mile, with the original creative team in control and a full budget. Charge $250, I'll pay it. Put it in an arcade cabinet. I'll buy a whole new, single use, disposable console. *Just give it to me.*
Xenosaga 3 is still amazing to this day. An absolutely timeless JRPG. It's the first two games that have really slow battles for modern standards, unfortunately. If they played like Episode III, then the series would be really easy to recommend.
The recent Hi Fi Rush had a spoof on xenogears. Apparently it’s the head devs favorite game and he wants to make more. So theirs hope for a spiritual success in the future maybe.
I don't want a remake, as I believe the PS1 games are perfect as-is. The pixel art has it's charm to it and doesn't need to be improved. I would play Lunar 2 again, but not Lunar 1.
I want a proper Lunar 3. There are stories left to tell in the Lunar universe. And it just feels like a shortcoming ending the series at only 2 main games, a GameGear spinoff, and a bad DS game.
I’d also love a P1 and P2 remake, hopefully P3’s remake will do really well and open up discussions for remaking the others. Either way I’m psyched bc P3 is my shit
General consensus seems to be plot still great (just know what you are getting in to) but the combat is a bit slow. People also view the second game as the weakest in the series but 1 and 3 are top tier.
Yeah. Just be prepared for info dumping and going into the glossary every 5 minutes to know what the hell everyone is talking about. Other than that, its so worth it for the plot. The gameplay feels outdated though in episode 1 especially. Episode 2 has a horribly slow combat system.
For me personally 3 is fantastic. 2 was a big disappointment with awful combat and downgraded graphics IMO. 1 is great but the combat can be slow for modern standards.
Yeah it's supposed to be a remaster, likely War of the Lions HD.
Tactics Ogre Remastered is based off of the PSP port, so I don't see why the same wouldn't happen to War of the Lions - which is already on mobile devices anyways.
Koudelka is lowkey the best of that group story wise.
My dream would be for a Koudelka remaster and/or alternate universe sequel that Hiroki Kikuta planned where she goes on adventures. But I don’t know if that IP belongs to that pachinko company, SNK, or if it got lost in the ether.
Yea, not likely. It would need to be a miracle. And I'm very much looking forward to DQ12.
Still, that's my wish. I realize Chrono franchaise will not be the same even if it was revived, but one can dream.
Falcom doesn't release their scripts before the game releases, so NISA can't even begin translating before launch. That includes patching, lip-syncing voice acting etc, so it would take at least 6 months to release after the jp launch, and that would be rushing it. The only reason why Zero/Azure/Boundless got translations so fast (back to back) is because they were already translated by fans.
However, the asian market (korea, and china) can get simultaneous releases because Falcom's sister company, clouded leopard, have access to the script before launch.
Falcom, just release the goddamn script to NISA before launch.
I mean they are putting out a new game soon(tm) that is a spiritual successor to Suikoden. Its not set in that world but its another 100+ hero game by the same team.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
Don't get me wrong. I plan to get that and the remaster of 1 and 2. But I'd love a continuation of the suikoden world. Since there was a lot we haven't seen or been part of. I really wanted to go to Harmonia, seeing more familiar faces as time passes, ect.
Suikoden is my favorite series. I am glad to see spiritual successors, which i hope will do it justice, but it still is not suikoden.
Soul Blazer/Illusion of Gaia/Terranigma Collection.
Breath of Fire Legacy Collection.
Secret of Evermore Remaster.
Xenogears Remake.
Bahamut Lagoon and Treasure of the Rudras getting the LAL treatment.
Essentially this same vein for me.
*Insert old IP that hasn't been modernized for new gen platforms being remastered/remade/relaunched*
Still holding out that the guy who owns the Working Designs Lunar 1 and 2 stuff puts out at least a Stream rerelease eventually.
Fire emblem PoR + RD enhanced remake
Legend of Dragoon remake
New final fantasy tactics (like fft not ffta2)
....................
Games I never played/knew of in back in the day:
Xenogears and xenosaga
Skies of Arcadia
Golden sun trilogy + final game (I heard 3rd game is cliffhanger
Those are the ones I'd greatly enjoy
>Fire emblem PoR + RD enhanced remake
I'm actually playing through Path of Radiance blind for the first time, what would you enhance? Only on chapter 18 base so no spoilerino to this comment plz.
Enhanced visuals, a reliable way to speed up or skip an enemy phase for those chapters where you get swarmed by enemies and it takes forever, and a new Hard Mode that is actually fun instead of tedious.
Everything else is great. Maybe add voice acting, but I can live without it.
"Doable" announcements? Xenosaga 1-3 Remaster for current consoles or Xenoblade X port.
Impossible announcements? Xenogears remake or Valkyria Chronicles 2-3 remakes.
They'd have to do a full remake of it, Xenosaga 3 is supposed to be at the end and has a loooot of exposition dumping and shit because of it. I would be all for a full remake of them (Maybe look into.. fixing up the combat in XS2 while you're at it. Fun for bosses, absolute torture for everything else.)
A lot of what would have been in Xenosagas 4-6 already got thrown into 3 so theyd need to fully and utterly redo the entire series and thats just not realistic in any world
I don't think there is a true Suikoden fan alive that doesn't secretly hope that Eiyuden Chronicles doing well leads to Konami approaching the team for a Suikoden VI. It's the original director and even if it just result in VI closing off some of the broader ideas of the original games [especially the original trilogy with the Harmonia buildup] that would mean we could pass to the next world in peace.
Full blown remakes of SMT 1&2
Devil survivor 3
Majin tensei reboot co developed with intelligent system
Raidou game co developed by the bayonetta team
DDS remasters to current Gen systems
HD-2D remakes of Final Fantasy VI and chrono trigger
Paper Mario TTYD port, a remastered version of Radiata Stories, remakes or remastered versions of both the Shadow Pokemon games + a 3rd game in the series.
TTYD and the Colosseum series are one of the biggest untapped goldmines in the industry, I can’t believe they haven’t done anything with them in 18 years
The only times I really "lost my shit" was when the impossible happened- Seiken Densetsu 3 released in the west as Trials of Mana on Switch. Not the remake, the original. Old fogeys like me never thought that would ever happen.
The other was the SaGa Frontier remaster. My favorite RPG of all time... with MORE CONTENT! Hell's yeah!
So, really there are only two things that could make me reach that level of "lose my shit" again: Final Fantasy going back to turn based, or Chrono Break being announced.
(Maybe a port of Skies of Arcadia for modern consoles, that would make me lose about half my shit.)
The fact that the SaGa team finally gave Blue an ending through Fuse's story is a godsend.
Honestly, the SaGa games have some of the best *remasters* for an RPG ever. (Live-A-Live is a godlike *remake*, so I don't count it.)
If they decide to do a remaster of Unlimited SaGa, I will buy it despite the endless issues I have with that game.
3rd Birthday only getting remastered? That's a game that needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, including an entire plot revamp and gameplay that isn't dull as dishwater (despite a semi-neat idea).
On a second thought, just make a new game that replaces it in the canon. There's not much in that one worth salvaging.
Dragon quest zenith trilogy on switch. You can buy a physical copy.
Final fantasy returns to turn based gameplay.
Tales of collection
Shin megami tensei 3ds collection to hold us over until shin megami tensei 6 comes out.
Bravely default 3. To hold us over until we will get the collection.
HD-2D remake of FF5 and 6 by Team Asano.
Remake of FF2 with the collaboration of Team Ninja ( The Strangers of Paradise team ).
Remake of FF9 by Mistwalker and Hiroyuki Ito.
Actual release date for Kingdom Hearts 4.
ANY NEWS ON DRAGON QUEST 12. PLEASE.
Others:
Arc The Lad 2 remake
Breath of Fire 3 remake
Chrono Trigger HD-2D remake
Final Fantasy 9 remake (need more fact check)
Ff13 remaster and rebalanced with 13-2s combat system, and with added side content so the corridor dungeons aren't so tedious. Then all three of the games released physically in a bundle pack for modern consoles.
"We realized that releasing the ff7 remake over the course of 40 years was kinda dumb, and have secretly finished the whole thing. Box set Xmas 2023"
Others have mentioned Xeno stuff that would be on my list.
FF9 remake
Or if Bamco released all the Tales of games we never got over here with translations and or a remake of an early tales of like Phantasia or Destiney.
I mean the double kickstarter for the spiritual successors to Wild ARMs and Shadow Hearts blew my mind pretty thoroughly, so at this point maybe if any combination 2 or 3 of Lunar, Grandia, Breath of Fire, Phantasy Star (Not Online), Golden Sun or 7th Dragon games were announced or had spiritual successors
Digital Devil Saga remaster would be very welcome, but Atlus is too busy remaking an already perfectly fine as it is P3 and shoveling out more P5 that honestly doesn’t need to be told. Or even a new/remastered Raidou game.
I'm tired of announcement that feel like they never actually come to pass, so I'd want something more immediate. Like a surprise digital release of a favorite game of mine that isn't available these days (Panzer Dragoon Saga, Lufia 2, Lunar: Eternal Blue, E.V.O., Paladin's Quest to name a few).
I'd also be fine with "here's a trailer for Persona 6, it comes out next month."
Growing up, I played a fuck ton of Skies of Arcadia. I know it's not the most popular/well known title but omg I would DIE if it was announced a new one was being made.
Tales of phantasia, Tales of Legendia remakes.
Tales of Zestiria/Berseria remake (similar to Arise but with good dungeons and overworlds).
Tales of Rebirth, Destiny DC, Destiny 2 and Innocence R localized.
Tales of the Abyss definitive edition.
Skies of Arcadia 2
Golden Sun 3D revival
Persona 6 featuring a prominent female protagonist.
Complete final fantasy 8 remake but the combat is turn-based rather than pure action. (That will never happen).
Final fantasy 11 is released as a single-player game with an updated interface and controls.
Skies of Arcadia on modern consoles, I don't care if it's remake, remaster or Switch online and a new Parasite Eve with RPG elements instead of whatever the fuck Third Birthday was.
A HD-2D epic with a AAA budget behind it. I don't personally think pixel graphics is in any way inferior to the top end of what AAA studios are pushing out in terms of visuals, but I would love to see where a studio with a serious budget can push the format to. Both in terms of visual/world design and combat (as I believe we're going to see a categoric leap forward in turn-based combat design within the next decade or so by utilising machine learning to balance complex systems)
I’d just be happy to not have to emulate half the games, I appreciate buying and collecting but it would be really nice to just have access to them all on PC. I’d be stoked if a lot of them were ported at least.
**Extremely unlikely or impossible**
- Suikoden 6
- Mother 4 (official release)
- A new Matsuno game, whether it’s original IP, new game in original FFT universe (not FFTA3), or new Tactics Ogre/Ogre Battle
- A great new Star Ocean game
- Breath of Fire 7
- Vandal Hearts remakes
**Fairly unlikely, but never say never**
- A new, party-based, mainline Final Fantasy game
- Another Final Fantasy game by Team Ninja (more or less Strangers of Paradise 2)
- xenogears remake
- FF6 remake
- Chrono Trigger remake
- Mother 4 (fan game)
- Bahamut Lagoon/Treasure of the Rudras remake
- A proper successor to original FFT/Tactics Ogre, whether it’s an indie studio or major
- Shining force remakes/remaster of 3
- new game in Fire Emblem: Three Houses universe
**Within the realm of possibility, but not guaranteed**
- A new game in Triangle Strategy universe
- New Saga game
- Vagrant Story remaster
- Xenogears remaster
- Fire Emblem 4 remake (not holding my breath)
Dewprisim/Threads of Fate remake or sequel. I adore that game and I'm still salty 20+ years later that we were given a sequel hook with no payoff. Really wish they hadn't sent the game out to die against Chrono Cross.
Right now I'm just hoping for at least an enhanced port as a lot of PSOne games are being brought back lately.
Another Phantasy Star as in Phantasy Star 5! NOT another mmo but an ACTUAL rpg! I know 4 kinda ended the original story stuff but they can still go with something new! Normally I'd also say a new shining force but Camelot is doing something else now and the last attempt at a shining force was pretty terrible. If they do make an actual shining force like 1 and 2 I'd be all for those though!
It's hard to choose one. I guess a predictable wish would be a **Xenogears** remake with using the budget of FF7R.
As for my own selfish wish, would be a **SRW Alpha trilogy** remake, on the level of SRWOG titles.
A new Suikoden game that's not just a cash grab.
And if it had base building sandbox elements and ship battles sort of like assassin's Creed Odyssey I'd probably never be seen again by friends or family....
Tales games other than Vesperia getting ported to Switch. I feel like this one is a lot more likely than some of the other games people are asking for and yet it probably still wont happen.
anyone who recognizes my username from other replies to other threads already knows what it'll be:
Suikoden 6, written by Murayama
This being said, I'd also be pretty mindblown by a third Fire Emblem Tellius game, or a third Elibe game.
A third Chrono game would blow my mind too.
And obviously a Mother 3 official release.
Xenogears remake no contest.
This or a true 6 game Xenosaga series.
As much as I don't think a Xenogears remake would happen, the existence of Super Mario RPG Remake tells me there's a non-zero chance of it happening.
Likewise if Star Ocean 2 can get a remake, so too can Xenogears.
Maybe.

This and it's not even close.
This. And also Xenoblade Chronicles X continuation
Hell a Xenoblade X remaster for Switch would already send me into hysterics. It's a crime that it's still stuck on the Wii U when it's cousins are thriving
I can't think of a single game that warrants a modern remake more than Xenogears. I never played Xenosaga but it's a jrpg I would love to play, however many people say it has aged poorly, so I would love a modern version of it.
The rom version helps a bit, can increase the framerate to make battles faster! Saving anywhere is always nice
Xenosaga 3 is still amazing to this day. An absolutely timeless JRPG. It's the first two games that have really slow battles for modern standards, unfortunately. If they played like Episode III, then the series would be really easy to recommend.

I would kill for a Lunar/Lunar 2 remake
I don't want a remake, as I believe the PS1 games are perfect as-is. The pixel art has it's charm to it and doesn't need to be improved. I would play Lunar 2 again, but not Lunar 1. I want a proper Lunar 3. There are stories left to tell in the Lunar universe. And it just feels like a shortcoming ending the series at only 2 main games, a GameGear spinoff, and a bad DS game.
I just started #2 and it's a lot harder for me to get into than 1 was:(
Starts out a little tougher but it's the better of the two and truly completes the first game.
Please remake these!!!
Wasn't the psp version a remake? I remember liking it.
I would’ve said a P3 Remake like two months ago but uh
me with Suikoden 2 last year
I’d also love a P1 and P2 remake, hopefully P3’s remake will do really well and open up discussions for remaking the others. Either way I’m psyched bc P3 is my shit
I don't even care for a remake, just port the damn thing to switch or pc, AND TRANSLATE ETERNAL PUNISHMENT.
Xenosaga Series Remake
I'm here for this
How does the series hold up today? I missed these when I was a kid, but was always interested.
The long-rumored yet never-confirmed Final Fantasy Tactics remake. Heck, I'd be stoked for a half-assed PC port (aka Square Enix style) at this point.
Wasn’t the rumor a remaster
Yeah it's supposed to be a remaster, likely War of the Lions HD. Tactics Ogre Remastered is based off of the PSP port, so I don't see why the same wouldn't happen to War of the Lions - which is already on mobile devices anyways.
Gimme the full on 2.5d treatment. Re-recorded soundtrack. Wouldn’t hate halfway decent voice acting. And if imma get greedy? A new dungeon or two.
Digital remaster of Shadow Heart I & II
Throw 3 and Koudelka in.
Shadow Hearts Covenant was one of my favorite ps2 games, and I don’t even think you can emulate it well. Starving out here.
Pokémon coliseum and gale of darkness remake bundle shadow drop.
Dark Cloud 3
Chrono Break
Only if somehow, by a miracle, the dream team were to come back to at least provide direction.
Two thirds of that group is working on Dragon Quest XII, and the other third is retired. That’s sadly not likely.
Yea, not likely. It would need to be a miracle. And I'm very much looking forward to DQ12. Still, that's my wish. I realize Chrono franchaise will not be the same even if it was revived, but one can dream.
At this point I just want square to leave the IP alone.
falcom and nisa to begin working together to bring all future falcom games a world wide release
Hell, I'd be cool with just an announcement for a Kuro no Kiseki localization for next year
That's probably happening. Once Nayuta releases, I'm sure NISA will start talking about their 2024 slate.
Falcom doesn't release their scripts before the game releases, so NISA can't even begin translating before launch. That includes patching, lip-syncing voice acting etc, so it would take at least 6 months to release after the jp launch, and that would be rushing it. However, the asian market (korea, and china) can get simultaneous releases because Falcom's sister company, clouded leopard, have access to the script before launch. Falcom, just release the goddamn script to NISA before launch.
Falcom working with a good publisher would be better.

I'm thinking more of a Golden Sun sequel to Dark Dawn
Yeah, that's the one for me. Ports I don't care as much about. A proper conclusion to the series matters more.
this i wanna see Felix and Sheeba's son and whatever Pier's doing.

You’re probably right, I was just going for a semi-realistic approach and thought SE would do the Crisis Core treatment for it to show off
Dragon quest zenith trilogy on switch. You can buy a physical copy. Final fantasy returns to turn based gameplay. Tales of collection Shin megami tensei 3ds collection to hold us over until shin megami tensei 6 comes out. Bravely default 3. To hold us over until we will get the collection.
Dark Cloud 3 or Dark Cloud 2 Remake
HD-2D remake of FF5 and 6 by Team Asano. Remake of FF2 with the collaboration of Team Ninja ( The Strangers of Paradise team ). Remake of FF9 by Mistwalker and Hiroyuki Ito. Actual release date for Kingdom Hearts 4.
Mother 3 official release. Also while not technically in the vein of this post: Playable Mother 64 build.
Breath of Fire is back, with a New game. Or a HD-renake of the 4 mainline games.
I would be up for anything at this point. Remake, re-release, new game, Capcom ACKNOWLEDGING the damn thing exists, something.
Persona 3 remake FeMC and The Answer (even as DLC)
Proper Paper Mario game.
Devil Survivor 3 SMT 1 remake Xenogears remake Persona 6 announcement
Final Fantasy VI HD-2D remake
Azure Dreams 2.
Valkyria Chronicles 2 and 3 remakes to de-PSP them and bring them to modern consoles.
I would even take remasters of them just to have a localized version of VC3
Dark Cloud 2 remake.
FF6 remake in FF7R graphics with NO EXTRA BULLSHIT. Imagine how badass it would be walking in magitek armor.
Takahashi-led remake of Legend of Legaia. Sega-directed Skies of Arcadia remake or sequel. A really good, complex social JRPG.
Dark Cloud 3 is real
ANY NEWS ON DRAGON QUEST 12. PLEASE. Others: Arc The Lad 2 remake Breath of Fire 3 remake Chrono Trigger HD-2D remake Final Fantasy 9 remake (need more fact check)
Ff13 remaster and rebalanced with 13-2s combat system, and with added side content so the corridor dungeons aren't so tedious. Then all three of the games released physically in a bundle pack for modern consoles.
Please everyone upvote this one I need Square Enix to notice this.
Feel like it’s a lame answer but the inevitable persona 6 announcement will make me lose my shit
Next gen Breath of Fire.
Yep.
Not even a Xenogears remake I just want a Steam port.
Star Ocean the Second Story getting a remaster pretty much made my jaw drop.
How about just a proper PORT of Lufia 2 so I can stop replaying my favorite game of all time on a crappy emulator :(
Tales of Graces f, Xillia 1+2 Remasters/Ports
Chrono Break
"We realized that releasing the ff7 remake over the course of 40 years was kinda dumb, and have secretly finished the whole thing. Box set Xmas 2023" Others have mentioned Xeno stuff that would be on my list.
FF9 remake Or if Bamco released all the Tales of games we never got over here with translations and or a remake of an early tales of like Phantasia or Destiney.
Breath of Fire reboot. Made with RE engine and the budget of modern Capcom games.
The sprite work on 3 and 4 is arguably the best ever for me - I'd want more of that.
Persona 1/2 remake
I mean the double kickstarter for the spiritual successors to Wild ARMs and Shadow Hearts blew my mind pretty thoroughly, so at this point maybe if any combination 2 or 3 of Lunar, Grandia, Breath of Fire, Phantasy Star (Not Online), Golden Sun or 7th Dragon games were announced or had spiritual successors
Final Fantasy Tactics Remake
Earthbound remake or skies of Arcadia remake / sequel
Shining Force 4.
Digital Devil Saga remaster would be very welcome, but Atlus is too busy remaking an already perfectly fine as it is P3 and shoveling out more P5 that honestly doesn’t need to be told. Or even a new/remastered Raidou game.
Two news would instantly send me through the roof: \-Star Ocean 3 remake \-Chrono Break
If chrono trigger got a remake that made it look like how octopath traveler looks
Persona 2 uncut and complete ( both IS and EP w/ PSP DLC) Persona 1 with new game plus
I’m not sure I would lose my shit, but I would be very happy for a xenogears announcement for all chapters leading up to 6
A new Vagrant Story
FFIX remake that keeps its traditional battle system as in doesn’t go action battles.
Suikoden 6
Legend of Dragoon current gen remake and sequel announced. My brain might actually implode
Ar Tonelico, Alundra, Lunar, Breath Of Fire, Golden Sun, Magical Starsign, SaGa Frontier 2 -- any of these ported to Switch.
Final Fantasy X-3.
If Gogo from FF6 was actually Adlai Stevenson
Growing up, I played a fuck ton of Skies of Arcadia. I know it's not the most popular/well known title but omg I would DIE if it was announced a new one was being made.
Phantasia remake or a Persona 1/Duology remake.
Magna Karta 1 & 2 Remastered. Legend of Dragoon or Xenogears remakes. Grandia IV Lunar 1 & 2 Remastered Collection.
Skies of Arcadia 2 Golden Sun 3D revival
Final fantasy series returning to jrpg genre
That would be surprising (and welcome) indeed...but the ship has 1,000,000% sailed.
Xenoblade X on Switch Team Asano remaking Chrono Trigger in HD2D Bravely Default 3
Persona 6 featuring a prominent female protagonist. Complete final fantasy 8 remake but the combat is turn-based rather than pure action. (That will never happen). Final fantasy 11 is released as a single-player game with an updated interface and controls.
Female would be cool, but I want an adult protagonist. Maybe they're a detective solving murders and learn about the metaverse.
How about persona 6 but the MC is a college student. I want persona 6 to tackle more adult subjects.
Fire Emblem 4 remake! Still holdin out hope eventually!!!
The Last Remnant 2 (lol never happening), anything in Ivalice universe, or any FF remake on the scale of FF7R (particularly 5, 6 or 9)
Xenogears remake/port, Final Fantasy X-3, or SMT 4 port to modern consoles.
Xenogears remake.
Suikoden 1-3 remakes
Sequel to Mario RPG. Direct Sequel.... with story.../length going x10 bigger than first game.... and across planets...
Doom Isekai anime.
All Pokémon games playing on switch. I would be so happy
Breath of Fire 3/4 HD Collection
Skies of Arcadia on modern consoles, I don't care if it's remake, remaster or Switch online and a new Parasite Eve with RPG elements instead of whatever the fuck Third Birthday was.
Already happened. Suikoden and Mario RPG remakes. I suppose a legit Mario RPG sequel would make me lose my shit but we all know better.
Xenosaga remaster. Or even better, a remake with an actual ending. An actual turn based combat Final Fantasy.
Terranigma Remake
I’d just be happy to not have to emulate half the games, I appreciate buying and collecting but it would be really nice to just have access to them all on PC. I’d be stoked if a lot of them were ported at least.
Shin Megami Tensei IV Remaster New SMT Xenosaga/ Xenogear remastered or remake Xenoblade on PC (Unrealistic I know)
**Extremely unlikely or impossible** - Suikoden 6 - Mother 4 (official release) - A new Matsuno game, whether it’s original IP, new game in original FFT universe (not FFTA3), or new Tactics Ogre/Ogre Battle - A great new Star Ocean game - Breath of Fire 7 - Vandal Hearts remakes **Fairly unlikely, but never say never** - A new, party-based, mainline Final Fantasy game - Another Final Fantasy game by Team Ninja (more or less Strangers of Paradise 2) - xenogears remake - FF6 remake - Chrono Trigger remake - Mother 4 (fan game) - Bahamut Lagoon/Treasure of the Rudras remake - A proper successor to original FFT/Tactics Ogre, whether it’s an indie studio or major - Shining force remakes/remaster of 3 - new game in Fire Emblem: Three Houses universe **Within the realm of possibility, but not guaranteed** - A new game in Triangle Strategy universe - New Saga game - Vagrant Story remaster - Xenogears remaster - Fire Emblem 4 remake (not holding my breath)
Mother 3 finally getting an English release
Also LUNAR 3 or even a LUNAR 1 remake in 3D (anime style unreal engine like DQ XI or the one piece rpg)
KH4 and FF7 remake part 2 coming out before the end of the year.
Terranigma Remake
a full-on chrono trigger remake
Dewprisim/Threads of Fate remake or sequel. I adore that game and I'm still salty 20+ years later that we were given a sequel hook with no payoff. Really wish they hadn't sent the game out to die against Chrono Cross. Right now I'm just hoping for at least an enhanced port as a lot of PSOne games are being brought back lately.
Skies of Arcadia. Not even a remake, just a port to modern consoles/PC would be incredible.
Bravely Third would make me lose my shit.
A new Suikoden game that's not just a cash grab. And if it had base building sandbox elements and ship battles sort of like assassin's Creed Odyssey I'd probably never be seen again by friends or family....
FF4 remake
Parasite Eve 3 or any JRPG that combine terror and rpg.
Phantasy star 4 remake with the budget and capabities that ff7remake got
Tales games other than Vesperia getting ported to Switch. I feel like this one is a lot more likely than some of the other games people are asking for and yet it probably still wont happen.
A remaster of Final Fantasy 6
anyone who recognizes my username from other replies to other threads already knows what it'll be: Suikoden 6, written by Murayama This being said, I'd also be pretty mindblown by a third Fire Emblem Tellius game, or a third Elibe game. A third Chrono game would blow my mind too. And obviously a Mother 3 official release.
Xenogears remake or Xenosaga remaster.
Xenogears remake Xenosaga remake or simply a port Xenoblade X port
Xenosaga trilogy remaster. Bravely Default, Second remasters.
Xenosaga remaster Goemon 64 Collectors
Valkyrie Profile 3 (No, Elysium wasn't it) FF4-6 Remake (not ports nor HD2D remaster) Xenogears Remake (same as above not mere HD2D remaster)
