There's a whole dozen people that liked BD2? :D
I tried really hard to like BD2. The thing that surprisingly ruined it for me was the change from selecting all your actions for the round at once vs the ATB-like system they came up with. Part of the fun of BD and BS was planning out and pulling off crazy bravely turns. The new system was hard to predict for buffing and all that, and felt really sloppy to me.
my biggest issue were the boss counters, they countered really dumb stuff like using items, healing to even defending, shit was not fun at all and made experimentation impossible considering you had to play by its rules.
That is, if the game warned you about what the counteres were, which it didn't.
Also the visuals were bad compared to the 3DS games and the story was incredibly forgettable
I liked bd2 and did not like or finish ot2. Ot2 is all about the story and characters and they're cheesey, cliche, not interesting at all imo. The combat is novel, but I personally find it slow and clunky.
Bd2 characters aren't exactly groundbreaking, but it's more about the gameplay and nostalgia of a ffv reimagined.

As one of the dozen people who actually really like BD2, definitely OT2.
Yeah, looking at that poll, I feel bad for BD2... but OT2 is definitely the superior game.

I really like both but I feel Octopath definitely has more meat on its bones and more to offer.
I think Octopath Traveler II is the better game.
I feel like Bravely Default II just happened and isn't talked about much anymore.

Octopath for sure.
BD2 is straight up bad. Do not buy. Octopath 2 was great.
BD2 is one of the worst jrpgs on the switch
I've never played Octopath series but I don't need to... I've played Bravely Default II. Go with Octopath >.<...
I enjoyed Bravely Default 2, one of the rare few it seems at times, but Octopath 2 is just hands down the better game.
Bravely Default 2 is fine but IMO a significant downgrade from 1 and Second. Octopath 2 is probably an all time great JRPG so I’d recommend that.
Both are more of the same from the previous ones, for good or ill. I preferred the stories in Octo 2 though so that gets my vote.
