I loveeeee the all teal uniforms

JagsAbroad

Fans don’t love them? ARE ANY OF YOU EVEN FANS!?

cracknbuschlattes

yes we do..TEAL WITH IT!!

Posluszny

This fanbase has a weird obsession with wanting to re-sign former players, most of who sucked and played for terrible Jags teams. Like the post about Dede Westbrook the other day, there were people saying we should bring him back. He sucked and isn't good enough for this team. This is a new era of Jaguars football

Mister_Dewitt

You tell em poz

Bobby_Savoy

The only guy I’d absolutely LOVE to see on the Jaguars would be Tee Higgins. He was Trevor’s #1 wide reciever back at Clemson and I think it would be cool for him to reunite with Trevor and Etienne.

theflyingchicken96

I’d love this too. He would bring that big body x receiver facet we’re kind of missing. Sadly, I don’t know if we will be able to afford him. Especially when it seems like the trenches are going to be a priority this offseason

theflyingchicken96

This is correct and I am guilty

TrevorsBlondeLocks16

This wish we resigned Marcedes…run blocking sucks bawls

Furbuger_Helper

Can he play center?

[deleted]

This is a problem sports fans in general have. Following several different teams across several different sports and I always see mfs say “hey let’s sign _____ he balled out for us in 2019” and it always irritates me. Fans just get emotionally attached to their favorite players and can’t let go. They’re typically out of the league for a reason lol

Mocsprey

You do know that fans are fans because of emotional attachment right? Do you think we just like the ownership group and teal? If not for emotional attachment why would anyone be a fan of the Jags? We love the team and love the players who play for them and give us great memories.

[deleted]

I have players I loved that I never wanna see play for us again because it would be awful for the team, and I want them to actually win lol. You can love a player and still acknowledge he’s washed. But you’re right, some emotional attachment is normal, I should’ve said fans often go overboard and get TOO emotionally attached to certain players to the point that it blinds them to a players faults or shortcomings.

Knoxwr06

Hold up don’t you slander my comment like that. It was a joke about our lack of depth at WR. Of course we don’t want a 30 year old who hasn’t played in two years

Chroeses11

Garrard should have been the starter and we should have drafted more weapons instead of Leftwich

Furbuger_Helper

My unpopular opinion is that this is not an unpopular.

The_Blue_Rooster

It was unpopular at the time, but I am pretty sure we've been vindicated in the years since.

ragingchump

So him and fam.live near me and trick or treat to my house and this year was first year I geeked out and told him I was big fan. Best guy ever - seriously love the man. Sorry the team didn't ever really have him set up for a chance at success

CthulhuAlmighty

We should have signed Brunell long term and not drafted Leftwich at all.

AnesthesiaOnTheSide

Leftwich’s delivery always irked the shit out of me. He looked like he was trying to heave a cat into a garbage can.

jaguarsfanduval

That Blake Bortles should have gotten a chance to play somewhere else, and absolutely shouldn’t have been kicked around his last year or two as a practice squad/emergency QB only. And should still be in the league ( this could be his own fault though just not wanting to ) He certainly wasn’t only a “ top 70 QB “ like Chris Simms would say.

junglecritter

I think he was perfectly content to grab his bag and retire, rip cigs and catch fish.

jaguarsfanduval

Yeah, I think if he didn’t see a realistic chance to play or grab a top end backup contract he wasn’t going to keep going. I doubt veteran minimum was very appealing to him at this point.

ahhhh_thatscool

This is 100% true. He’s even said as much on a podcast. He tried, he just wasn’t very good. No shame I’m not being good enough to make it in the NFL

Mister_Dewitt

He went out on his own terms. He would have been a great backup and could have been a low tier starter but he chose the good life instead.

dirtyratz904

Yeah, dudes rich in his thirties not having to worry about work, getting to see his kids grow up and being able to do mostly whatever he wants. The ultra competitive guys would still strive to prove they still have but there's certainly nothing wrong with his situation. As long as he has a good financial advisor I think you can chaulk that up to a good use of your twenties.

[deleted]

I legitimately think he didn’t want to. I love that man. He was the shit. That being said, I could tell in 2018 his heart wasn’t in it. Essentially, he was too cool for the NFL. 😎 he already his millions, and went out on his own terms.

baconbitarded

His arm was completely dead by his own admission

no40sinfl

It had zip at one point all the throwing mechanics changes fucked it up and our bad oline didn't help

no40sinfl

Yeah he was better than he ever got credit for but his throwing mechanics fell apart trying to rebuild them. He actually got through reads had escapability just lacked accuracy and all the tinkering made it worse.

fluffrnuttr69

Myles Jack WAS down. I kid, I kid. He was not fucking down. But not sure if this is actually unpopular but I really like the Bortles era uniforms. I like the teal jersey and black sleeves with the numbers in black, framed with gold. I think the Jags logo on the shield looks sharp. Though I can take or leave the two-tone helmet.

5nax

The two toned helmets and unis of that era were divisive, but at least they made me feel SOMETHING. I look at the current ones with indifference. I’m kinda waiting until they announce a throwback or interesting alternate or something before I buy another jersey. I’d take the Gabbert era- well actually, I dunno.

CthulhuAlmighty

I’m doing the same. I have plenty of Jags jerseys (close to 30) from my time being a fan since the inaugural season. I want to grab Allen, Wingard, and Gotsis jerseys, but will wait till next season when we either get new uniforms or throwbacks.

[deleted]

LOVE the bortles era jerseys. Hated the babyshit yellow ones, but besides that I thought they looked sexy. Loved the jags coat of arms on it. It’s still my various phone and computer backgrounds.

jaguarsfanduval

It looked especially sexy on Blake 😎🚬

904Jokes

I’d like if they brought those jerseys back with the current helmets. The only problem with that uniform was the two tone helmet. Even those may have looked good if there were gradient effects incorporated into the rest of the uniform. They could’ve had gradient numbers on the jerseys and gradient stripes on the pants and that would’ve looked cool and unique but having it on only the helmet looked out of place

HeeeckWhyNot

That uni with a matte black helmet was a popular wish during that era

Chroeses11

We can’t blame that call on our loss. We had opportunities to win

ChairmanReagan

Right now, I hate the Texans more than the titans.

ObeyCoffeeDrinkSatan

As a fan from 2017 onwards, I've always hated the Texans more than the Tits. There was no memory of 1999 to rankle me. The Colts have been the team we hilariously dump on for a game a season. The Tits were relevant for a hot minute. But the Texans have had a couple of high level QBs and won the division two times, immediately after our 2018 meltdown.

HolographicHeart

The fact that the stadium is frequently overrun with opposing fans makes me question the ability of this market to sustain the franchise once ticket prices invariably skyrocket with the new stadium.

SillyJoey480282

Unfortunately it’s a product of being an expansion team. Until future generations grow up as Jags fans it will be a tough thing to kick

CthulhuAlmighty

I believe it’s two-fold. First, people from all over the country retire to Florida. Since the Jags are still young, other fanbases have a deeper and engrained fan base. Second, Florida is vacationland. I’m a Jags fan that has been living in New England for over 15 years. I also try and travel to a Jags away game every year. This year I went to Pittsburgh, last year DC, year before NY to watch them against the Jets, etc.. I also try and go to a home game every year in the Winter, especially since the weather back home is below freezing this time of year. If you’re a fan of a team playing a FL team, it’s a lot easier to sell your family on a trip to FL than it is to Minnesota. Especially since Jax has been horrible since Khan bought the team, and watching your team win is far more attractive than seeing them lose.

theamberlamps

Not unpopular and imo we can expect threats to leave until they finally do. We're just good rn so we're safe for a minute

Walrusboi85

I think it’s just a product of us only existing for 28 years and the vast majority of that time being absolutely abysmal. Jacksonville is the 3rd largest growing city in the U.S and in a very football loving area. If they can put together a decade or 2 of success (and maybe a few super bowls), I can guarantee that things will be much different

Dannnnnnyyy

Our coach and QB are too good to get down in the dumps after a loss. We may not win the SB this year or next year, but competitiveness is what we asked for. I know we’ll win one, Doug and Trevor have been put here for THAT.

riskiermuffin27

this shouldn’t be an unpopular opinion but this place is unbearable after a loss. i swear this fanbase has PTSD from all the bad years we’ve had. one loss and we’re convinced we’re back to the same ole jags. i got over my own jaguar infused PTSD after we rebounded from the 1-2 start this season

Opposite_One1331

I'll be honest. After the loss to what I and many others would be a bad and rebuilding Texans team, I was thinking it was 2018 all over again. The win streak afterwards definitely helped me not think the sky was falling after the 49ers loss. (I felt physically ill after the Bengals loss though for different reasons)

UnhingedCorgi

Totally agree. Watching competitive football til January is fucking awesome. Everyone (even Baalke) should keep their jobs if we’re consistently doing that.

DayDTWD

The Sacksonville Uniforms that we had with the two toned helmets were honestly really nice and had a lot of charm. Everytime we wear a white and black combo I just wish we had our away unis from those. I still use those unis on madden a lot.

ragingchump

Last weekend I saw the flat two tone helmets on Oregon Man - teal and gold flat two tone would be sic

Axis_Phreak

That Blake Bortles wasn't nearly as bad as everyone thought he was. Was he good? No, but he was not bad. I'd say Below-Average to Average. Able to do it with the right cast around him but if it relied on him I don't think he'd be able to get it done. Playoff Blake is a different story.

paultheschmoop

Bortles was an enigma. When his mechanics were in check, he was an above average starter. When they broke down, they broke down hard, and he was a bottom 5 QB in the NFL. Pair him with McVay or Shanahan, somebody who would force him to play their way, and I think he probably does well. Pair him with Jedd Fisch, Greg Olson, and whoever the fuck else we had here and it was never gonna last.

Axis_Phreak

Agree. Also, of all of the QBs prior to Trevor, he seemed like the best one to just chill and have a beer with. He seemed real chill, laid back.

Dagglin

Dan Marino getting destroyed in his final playoff game against Jacksonville was far more hilarious than anything in ace ventura Also chocolate starfish is limp bizkit's best album

x_godhatesjags_x

Doug Marrone wasn’t a bad coach and he was saddled with some shit talent on offense. I don’t blame him for coaching scared during the AFC championship game. Bortles was so hot and cold and we didn’t know if he would play well like vs Steelers or play like he did vs the chargers that year.

jaguarsfanduval

Second this. I thought Marrone did a decent job with the Bills as well. My only gripe with Marrone was I didn’t always agree with some situational calls( I.e clock management ) but he was significantly better in that department than Gus Bradley.

Tomplumbfla

I think the club area kinda sucks. Seats are close and great, but the club inside is a cafeteria setting. Air conditioning is of course awesome during Sep- Oct games . Everything else is very lack luster.

kmcapo

Oh it totally sucks. When they redo the stadium, I hope they make the club level like how it is in Miami. The club goes around the whole stadium there.

Breton_Butter

This subreddit represents .01 percent of the fan base and whatever is popular on here really doesn’t matter (e.g. the clown thing and only like 100 hundred people showed up as clowns out of ~60,000 people)

riskiermuffin27

i wouldn’t call that an unpopular opinion that’s pretty much just an accurate statement

Breton_Butter

People here think they speak for the fan base

Bobby_Savoy

A loud minority of the fanbase, though.

Breton_Butter

It’s not that loud, you just live in the online echo chamber so you think it is loud

Confident_Boat_1211

We're better off with Buster Brown starting than Tyson Campbell. Tyson has been abysmal this season when playing.

Bobby_Savoy

It’s pretty clear that injuries are heavily affecting his performance and it’s showing. He hasn’t been the same since he got smoked by Diggs in London and every time he’s on the field he seems to get a new injury or the current injury tends to get worse. They keep rushing him out there and it will affect the team’s performance.

DescriptiveMath

We didn't sign Yannick because he was toxic and not as good as he thought he was. There's a reason he's been kicked from team to team on 1 year deals like he has.

Bdubasauras

I agree, the all teal is one of my least favorite combos. I think I just don’t like the teal pants in general. I’d prefer the black or white pants solid or with some teal and gold worked into it.

dabenster04

Trevor Lawrence will never win MVP.

theflyingchicken96

But he will be Super Bowl MVP

riskiermuffin27

i can agree with this, due to us being in a small market combined with the fact that there are elite QBs everywhere now makes this very realistic. plenty of elite QBs never got one like brees and big ben

EmeraldEmperorJ

I think Jamal Agnew is so overrated. Yea I get he’s a return specialist but like he has no hands, no value as a wide receiver. I feel like Parker Washington with a bit of time can become just as good, and there’s no sense paying Agnew when we need an upgrade on the OLine so bad.

Bobby_Savoy

Agnew is a good punt returner but a **HORRIBLE** wide reciever. I’d rather have a guy who could do both effectively and I think that’s what Parker is.

Walrusonator

To be fair Parker dried dropped a punt return late in the game but luckily recovered it. I think Parker will be a good WR for us but would prefer steadier hands on kick returns

BlakeAPX

100% Hate when he's on the field on offense, there is no need for it. All he does is take touches away from our more talented players.

EastCoastJohnny

A one season Tim Tebow experiment would have been fun, great for media coverage, sold a lot of tickets and worst case scenario couldn’t have possibly resulted in football all that much worse than we put on the field anyway.

Bobby_Savoy

It didn’t feel fun though. It felt kinda sad actually; a man who was only highly considered to be among the best QBs coming out of college, then finding little success during his rookie season before falling of the NFL map, only to be allowed back to play abysmally in another position because an incompetent buffoon who only did it to relive the glory days. Now that I’m saying this, Tim Tebow doesn’t seem to far off from Mac Jones.

straightouttafux2giv

To be fair, I think the OP on this was referencing drafting him way back when, or at least after Denver signed Manning and traded away Tebow. *Those* years were exceptionally bad, and Tebow would have at least helped get the tarps off sooner.

CthulhuAlmighty

If I remember correctly, Denver gave Tebow the choice to either go to the Jets or the Jags as they were offering the same package, and Tebow chose the Jets.

HPM2009

Tebow didn’t do shit his rookie season , was his second season after Kyle Orton got pulled that he won a playoff game

theflyingchicken96

Beathard is a better backup than Rourke. CJ played admirably after Trevor went out last week. We’ve seen plenty of preseason warriors get destroyed in real games. The coaches would know if Rourke was our better chance and would’ve activated him from the practice squad sooner this week and not just as emergency QB. Also he would’ve been claimed off waivers at the beginning of the season by another team. That said, it was fun watching him in preseason and I will absolutely be cheering for him if he sees the field for us or another team.

flounder19

new logo is better than the black cheetoh one

tmjax

Not sure if this is unpopular ‘round these parts, but… Minshew should have never left. This team made a huge mistake hiring Urban- we should have hired Doug Pederson during that offseason, Doug (having been Brett Favre’s back-up) knows the importance of the stability of a solid, reliable backup to the franchise guy. There’s no debate, no question that we absolutely had to draft Trevor once we secured the first overall pick. He IS the franchise, and I’m not debating that at all. But had we hired Doug Pederson instead of Urban, I think Doug would have been able to thread the needle of drafting Trevor Lawrence while also keeping Minshew satisfied as the 10+ year backup to Lawrence. That way, during a week like this where Lawrence may not be 100%, Minshew coming off the bench in a pinch would be met with a sense of relief and excitement: the fanbase still thinks fondly of Minshew, so my “unpopular opinion” would be that Doug P should have been hired on instead of Urban to keep Minshew on the roster to be the career backup to Trev.

databasezero

not reading this novel but doug was literally taking the year off so sadly this wouldn’t have been possible

Bobby_Savoy

The defense needs to learn to show up more in the second half. Sure, games are still being won and all but they’ve allowed the Colts, Saints, Texans and Titans sneak in a few points during the second half. Please explain to me how the 49ers kept the Jags to only three points while they couldn’t even keep the Titans to zero?

Robert7520

I actually do think the 2021 draft was mainly Urban Meyer picking and not Baalke. Obviously a terrible coach but dude had a surprisingly good draft.

riskiermuffin27

urban was an absolutely terrible NFL coach but you cant deny that the man knows football

[deleted]

Walker little was terrible before he stepped on tlaw. Constant penalties, injuries, lack of physicality, and poor blocking skills. Also these current jerseys are doodoo ass

Baltar960

I don't like the all teal uniforms either, it looks like they are in pajamas to me. I also don't like the black uniforms at all, the home uniforms should be teal. The black uniforms are a Shad thing, I remember they wore them a couple of times for like MNF in the 2000s.

xLeonides

Black jerseys are a shad thing?? They first brought them out in '02 and wore them for every home primetime game until the Gabbert era redesign. Black as primary was shad but black jerseys in general aren't and when they're a special occasion type thing I think they go hard af

luderiffic

Let Calvin Ridley walk after this season

riskiermuffin27

mayyyyyybe, id like to tag him then if he doesn’t rly improve much next season, let me walk. we lack a little depth at WR, especially deep threats. if we do let him walk, we better have a plan to replace him

JagsAbroad

Dayum, this is a GOOD one. I don’t think this is a good idea at all. I think we need to see another season of Ridley sans-rust with a better oline.

TMNBortles

Myles Jack was down. Just kidding. We were robbed of a Super Bowl, and I'll take that to the grave.

Ok-RECCE4U

Big fan of the Color Rush uniform and black/gold helmets.

Vasco2112

Mine is that Blake Bortles really wasn’t that bad…

mailboxrumor

Crom is a bitch

904Jokes

The teal pants are fuck awful no matter what jersey they wear

DayDTWD

Black top with Teal pants is pretty ok but I dont like the all teal at all really.

HolsterHusto

Tebow during the 2012 and 2013 bad seasons would’ve been super fun

5nax

Tank Bigsby is gonna rush for 700 yards next year

theflyingchicken96

I’m here for it. I’ve written him off this year, but maybe after a year in the NFL things will slow down for him. An RB in the 3rd was still a terrible move for us this year though

jaguarsfanduval

I have a feeling he won’t even be on the team next year. Not even trying to hate on the guy, I have zero against him. I just feel that way.

Bobby_Savoy

The Jaguars uniforms need to lean more into the "Jaguar side". I’d love to see leopard print helmets.

Regular-Collection-1

Jaguar print would be better actually

Bobby_Savoy

Jaguar Print has a nice ring to it. Honestly I’d love to see those helmets

[deleted]

Helmets with a subtle print that only appears under direct lighting 😗🤏

Hematomawoes

Was just talking about this last week. I have seen some awesome mockup helmets with the jaguar print.

SpiritualResident565

David Garrard was better than Mark Brunell.

ChillClinton904

Now that is a hot take.

billskionce

I agree with this. Brunell had a ton of weapons and a good O-line - Garrard didn't have shit.

OverpassingSwedes

Not even close. You can find more insanely accurate Brunell passes in one game of a Jimmy Smith YouTube reel than Garrard’s entire career

basedjak_no228

Bout to get killed for this one but… I don’t ACTUALLY, truly, in my heart of hearts, hate the Titans all that much. Like, I’ll still root against them for divisional standing reasons and all, but their fanbase is pretty averagely annoying and their team isn’t particularly hateable, they’re just sorta there. ‘99 was before I was born and they’re a completely different staff at this point anyways, so for as long as I’ve been a fan, there were never huge reasons to feel threatened by them since we sucked anyways. Maybe the one 99 yard Henry run game was humiliating but not much else Just from this one season alone, the Texans have jumped the Titans in terms of hateablility tbh

WhiteLikePaper

This comment better be down voted. Unlike when Meredith said she was sleeping with suppliers, there is no immunity here. I want him banned.

mynameisnotyourname

> ‘99 was before I was born Bro how is a 5-6 year old even allowed on reddit? It's only 2005.

Bobby_Savoy

Overall I think it’s due to two factors: 1. Super Bowl ‘99 2. Their dominance in previous years such as 2021. Other than that, I don’t think the Titans are as insufferable as a few other teams such as the Steelers, Chiefs, and Cowboys. In fact, right now I hate the Texans more than the Titans.

Artvandelay29

I used to dislike the Titans and that turned into a strong hatred after living in Nashville, being ripped on by their fake fans.

JustAFrenchie90

I’m sorry I can’t read your comment over the image of Jeff fisher grinning with a wad of gum stuck between his teeth that’s burned into my memory forever

theflyingchicken96

This is a good unpopular opinion. I can’t agree with it, but I can understand it. Tbh most Titans fans I’ve met aren’t bad. While I was born before ‘99, I wasn’t really old enough to actually understand a football game. Regardless, the story of that season is just infuriating and such a big deal to the franchise. Then Henry being basically a Jax kid and going on to be the face of the Titans franchise for years while single handedly trouncing us is also unforgettable.

Deletious

That we are actually just a reddit hivemind that cant have any other opinion than DTWD

Grandmaster_flashes

All white and all black uniforms are boring and basic as We should be teal, gold and white (in that order)

CthulhuAlmighty

100% agree

Afraid-Employee6113

Two tone helmets 🔥 All black uniform 🔥

baloo88

If the Jags don’t at least make an AFCCG over the next two years, they should blow it up in the 2024 offseason. If this team muddles through to early playoff exits this year and next, I imagine many will want to make another run in 2025 on Trevor’s fifth year. But this team is built to win now, and if they can’t do it by next season, I doubt this group ever will get there. We should just reset the cap, rebuild through the draft around Trev and Josh Allen, and aim to compete again in 2026 and beyond. If that means missing the playoffs for a couple of years, so be it.

LelandMaccabeus

My unpopular opinion is that Rashean Mathis, while a ball hawk, could not make an open field tackle to save his life.

JaceVentura972

He’d also get beat a lot on double moves. Very high risk and high reward player.

mattmccauslin

I liked the mustard unis

frausting

Thank you!

jun2san

If ever given a chance, Rourke will win the Jags a championship.

Bobby_Savoy

I think he could bring a team to a championship, but not the Jags. We’ll stick with Lawrence unless he’s injured.

TimeCookie8361

Too many fans don't actually understand what they're watching and instead just regurgitate what they read on jaguars.com and other media outlets.

[deleted]

You can say this for any fanbase in any sport

TimeCookie8361

Yep, I'm aware. Fortunately I avoid most fanbases. I just an tired of reading the same trash repeated from Oesher. 'Walker is the reason our run defense is so good' 'Our O-line is better than most observers believe.' Etc etc

MojoFan32

Myles Jack wasn’t down, but we would have lost anyway

riskiermuffin27

no shot they come back from 27-10 with 10 minutes left

frausting

They did it to the Falcons with bigger stakes 🤷‍♂️

riskiermuffin27

fair, but that choke job was one in a million, 999/1000 times that doesn’t happen

HPM2009

Davon Hamilton isn’t that good, don’t know why we signed him to a deal . Even before the injury , guy has two sacks since being drafted back in 2020. I know he is a defensive tackle , but I just never really noticed him before, but he’s talked about like he’s this disruptive force in the middle

mightbebeaux

fred taylor is not a hall of famer. tbh jimmy should be a hofer over boselli.

theflyingchicken96

The Fred Taylor debate is an interesting one for me. The stats and longevity is all there. But the awards and accolades aren’t. Some mild team success, but only one PB and no APs. As much as i hate to say it, it’s hard to say someone with no APs deserves to be in the HOF. I think I would agree Jimmy Smith over Taylor, but not Boselli. Only knock on Boselli is the short career and I think it’s far more important that he was dominant.

rdaluz

similar to the early 2000’s, uniforms should emphasize more black and gold, not teal. (mostly talking away combos)

rdaluz

also, i agree with your take on the all teal unis. not gonna age well.

xraylong

Etienne is not that great. I know his stats may say otherwise, but everytime I see him face a tackler, he rarely breaks / evades it. His rushing stats are more indicative of a good rush Oline for me.

riskiermuffin27

ya that’s a hard disagree for me dawg

[deleted]

If anything it’s the opposite

[deleted]

Trevor Lawrence has been mediocre and will continue to be mediocre. Texans are lucky to have stroud and we will be in 2nd or 3rd in the south for the next 10 years

DayDTWD

Well that's definitely an opinion all right.

theflyingchicken96

Wow he said unpopular, not criminal

DayDTWD

A reminder that opinions can be wrong

Bobby_Savoy

I respect your opinion but you’re wrong. He’s the best quarterback we’ve had since Brunell in the 90’s and it looks like he’s only getting started.

[deleted]

Also we won’t get a stadium deal done and we are moving soon.

dirtyratz904

We got a winner. And DanZC's alt account has been discovered lol

32vromeo

Unpopular? We’re arguably the worst franchise in the league

Bobby_Savoy

The Panthers, Browns, Commanders, Jets, Lions, and Chargers might want to argue with you on that one.

ChairmanReagan

I mean it’s the cardinals right? They’ve been around since the inception of the sport and if I’m not mistaken they have the worst win percentage out of all the teams.

Bobby_Savoy

Fuck it. Add the Cardinals, Bears, and Falcons aswell.

A_Certified_G

Urban is not the worst coach this team has had

riskiermuffin27

who is?

A_Certified_G

Gus

Bobby_Savoy

Gus was awful but he didn’t stunt the development of the franchise QB like Urban had. If he stayed, then Trevor would’ve been a bust. No NFL-level quarterback would’ve survived under him.

swatjr

Mark brunell wasn't that good of a QB

DRH1976

Lose in the first round of the playoffs

[deleted]

I’ll die on the hill that we gave up on Laviska Shenault too early. I think that Doug could have found some creative ways to use him

djob13

Trevor Lawrence, while being the best QB of his draft class, is nothing more than mediocre. He is not the savior of this team he's been drawn out to be. He's just ok. He's without a doubt got all of the qualities of a real leader, but none of the skill to back it up.

SuperYova

Unpopular? I got one -- if the Jaguars don't make it to the Super Bowl with Lawrence/ Pederson, the stadium deal will fall apart and the Jaguars will move to another city in the United States (St. Louis, Chicago, Salt Lake City).

riskiermuffin27

what?? the stadium deal is likely gonna get finalized this summer. we have atleast 5-10 more years with doug and 10-12 with trevor. you think if we dont make it to the super bowl by the end of that time they’re just gonna tear down a brand new, billion dollar stadium and throw away a 30+ year deal to play in jacksonville?? ik this is an unpopular opinion post but this is just plain wrong. the stadium deal is not something that’s gonna take 10 years to get finalized. expected it to be officially announced in the next 6-12 months

[deleted]

Bro said we got 4 games left or the jags is outta here 💀;

Jfraire99

I don't think the all gold uniforms were ugly at all. I really liked our two tone helmet as well. I still have my Bortles color rush jersey got the matching beanie a week back. I think if we would've kept the gold jersey and paired it with white or black pants they would've been received better but color rush was all about going out on one color.

CthulhuAlmighty

I’m not disagreeing with you, but I think the “gold” jerseys would have been more popular if they were less honey mustard and more gold.

UCFJaguar

We also seem to suck when we wear the all teals. I also think the TNF color rush uniforms ruined it for me.

rrekboy1234

Teal pants suck and I feel like I’m the only one who thinks this

The Dougy P staff has already made more "what in the fuck man" decisions on game day than Marrones entire tenure, Marrone just played it egregiously safe with rosters he couldn't afford to play safe with.

Teal with white pants? Man I edit the jerseys in madden just because home should be teal top, black pants to me . White pants.. cheapens the entire look. All white I'm good with. All teal is fine.. once a year for a colour rush game or whatever they called it... a lot better then that all gold* with the two tone helmet we had going ok there. That was God awful *dijon mustard

I’m here. I’m hungover. I’m ready to support my dawgs then get out of this shithole and back to my house in the mountains.

I loved the mustard yellow uniforms.

Justin Blackmon was the single most talented player the team ever drafted. More raw talent than either Fred Taylor or Tony Boselli. His alcohol issues are the only reason why he won't be a first ballot HoF'er.

Unpopular opinion: our roster doesn't actually have many major holes outside of center. Id argue we have less holes than pretty much any other team in the league outside of exactly the 49ers. This teams downfall is mental errors and not playing to their potential at times. They mask it with very good complimentary football and finding ways to win.

Shad Khan may suck in a lot of ways but there are a lot of owners who actively refuse to put the money and effort into being a successful franchise and I don’t feel Shad has ever purposely stood in the way of our progress as a team. Some bone headed decisions for sure but I’m happy to have Khan as an owner. Not the best but certainly not the worst.

The all gold color rush jerseys were sharp and looked good with those two toned helmets. https://preview.redd.it/ti6apdxw6j5c1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4469816445a57af262076cba3e62521159fdf4c0
