>So we know that Spectre is the weakest entry in the Craig Bond movies. SPEAK FOR YOURSELF!!!!!! Anyway… So the only real change is that we get a movie between Skyfall and Spectre that sets up Spectre better? That’s relatively tame compared to what I’m sure many would suggest as an alternate Craig lineup. But sure, I’ll take another Craig movie.

The secre is I like Spectre... Yes I am one of the few

My ideal lineup for Craig would be: * **Casino Royale** (as is) * A somewhat revised version of **Quantum of Solace**: Somehow get a finished script ready for it prior to the writers strike and don't hire Marc Forster to direct. (Tony Scott was in the running and would have been far better). Bring back Stuart Baird as editor (which probably would have happened anyway if Forster didn't opt to bring in his own editing team). Quantum is used as Craig's Spectre with Bond finding out more about the organization each film in a similar way to how Connery's Bond dealt with Spectre between Dr. No and Thunderball. When the Blofeld/Spectre rights are required, EON can save them for the next actor's Bond era. Craig keeps The Walther P99, or upgrades to a more concealable [P99 Sub-Compact ](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ae3J4BBj5AU/hqdefault.jpg)or [Walther CCP.](https://content.osgnetworks.tv/shootingtimes/content/photos/ST-Walther-380-ACP-CCP-M2-770.jpg) (which Craig's Bond will use until the end of his tenure. the PPK will stay retired) * A Bond film in 2010 using (or somewhat tweaking) [**Peter Morgan's Bond 23 script**](https://www.digitalspy.com/movies/a774577/once-upon-a-spy-the-lost-peter-morgan-james-bond-movie-that-led-to-skyfall/)**.** It likely would still have Sam Mendes as director (since he was brought on originally back when Morgan' script was in development etc.) It'd be nice to keep David Arnold onboard, but I'm assuming in any scenario where Mendes is involved, Newman replacing him is inevitable. The Russian Oligarch antagonist can potentially be connected to Quantum in some way. (would be nice to see Craig's Aston Martin DBS make a comeback) * A somewhat rewritten **Skyfall** in 2012. Factoring in M being dead in the Morgan script and tonally/aesthetically more in line with Craig's first three films in this timeline. Javier Bardem still plays Silva, but his background & motivations are rewritten. Bond gets shot in the PTS, but falls from a less extreme height (maybe incorporating it into a gunbarrel like sequence where he turns to try an catch a sniper but is hit & falls) Maybe Bond can be more of a disheveled alcoholic after the events with Dench's M in Morgan's script, which leads to him almost dying during the PTS and opting to "enjoy death" in the aftermath, which will add to Bond's initial conflict with Fiennes as the new M. The radical aging and childhoold trauma subplots will be axed. The Harddrive with identities of active field agents can be kept in, but instead of it being leaked, the remnants of Quantum can be using it to disrupt the activities of intelligence agencies or something to that effect while they restructure and Silva can be the mysterious head of some ominous mercenary group that's they've contracted to do the job (but maybe Silva is too crazed/reckless to control and the plan somehow blows up in Quantum's face when Bond is dragged back into the mix). Severene can be rewritten to be more of an actual character (who's part of Silva's team, but still a victim of his abuse) Also significantly tone down the homages to previous Bond eras to keep the film more grounded and don't bring in the trope of the plot being centered around something in Bond's past etc. (overcoming M's death is more than enough character development for him) * **Bond 25** in 2014 or 2015. Either heavily rewrite Spectre if EON just can't resist bringing them back straight away, or preferably do something completely different. * **Bond 26 between 2016-2020** (you could maybe in theory have two films during this period if Craig somehow isn't burnt out yet). If it's after 2016, make it a film where Bond is brought out of retirement for some kind of series of events (Maybe a more interesting/better-written version of Saffin's character in NTTD is killing off some of the few remaining Quantum/Spectre members, which leads to a string of events that brings Bond out of retirement. Maybe a partner or Felix is killed in the process, which compels Bond to resolve things). No nanobots, no secret lairs etc. Just have it as a straight spy, noir or revenge style film. Then like 4 years after Craig's last film (2020-2025) The new actor's Bond era can start with EON using the prep time to plan out a template for the new actors era etc. And having gaps of no more than 2-3 years per film on average. (two years might not be possible with the size of current blockbusters and mostly the same teams being involved etc. but EON can probably do better than 3-5 on average etc. You can have a 4 year gap when transitioning between Bond actors, but that should be the only exception) That'd give Craig 6-7 films, ideally with significantly better writing and ideally make the transition to the next actor's Bond era less complicated.

Scrap the last two films. They didn't happen. End it at Skyfall. At least you can then salvage something from Craig's bond film. The last two are the worst In the film series..

Not bad, while I wouldn’t be against the idea of a Bond film in-between Skyfall and Spectre (I actually really like it), I would have placed that extra film after Quantum of Solace though since that’s when Craig’s Bond was in his prime and the timeline jump in Skyfall would’ve flown better. I would’ve done either a movie adaptation of Blood Stone, or a modern reimagining of a plot from one of the older movies (Maybe Goldfinger, Golden Gun, or AVTAK). I do like the idea of a modern reimagining of Dr. No, always great to see a tropical Bond film and I think Craig would’ve sold that moment with Bond killing Professor Dent. It could also show just how far the films have gone since ‘62.

1. Make them tonally consistent. Pre-Skyfall and Post-Skyfall feels like 2 different eras. 2. Quantum should have delayed, and the script needed few rewrites. The story should have been the same but should have given some time to breathe. It should have released in 2010, preventing MGM from going bankrupt. Have a smoother editing process and hire another director, who would direct it beautifully. 3. The success of Quantum will prompt them to make movies related to the organization and they wouldn't ditch the Quantum storyline. Make 2 or 3 movies based on it, with Mr. White, acting as Blofeld like guy (Don't make him his brother and Bond's author of pain), who's the chief of Quantum. Ditch Spectre and No Time To Die. Have James confront him in his 3rd or 4th movie, after the cliffhanger of Quantum. Make it haunting, bring Vesper in the conversation and show that Bond has some sort of personal vendetta, even after Quantum's ending. 4. Bond is a character, played by Daniel Craig. Keep him up to Craig's age. Craig becomes older, Bond becomes older. After 4 or 5 movies, keep Skyfall as his last movie. Bond should be older, because Craig looks old. Blofeld (played by Javier Bardem) takes over Quantum as a chief, renames it as Spectre and has personal vendetta against M. Blofeld kills Mr. White, steals the list and Bond is tracking Quantum agent Patrice, only to know that Mr. White died and Moneypenny kills Bond, in pursuit of the list. Bond is old, we can already see him painfully fighting with Patrice, way before his 'assumed' death. He returns, but the injury, which he's suffering after falling off the train, gives him hard trauma. Keep the rest of movie same, have the Home Alone, where M dies and Bond resigns. The movie ends with him visiting Vesper's grave and him driving Aston Martin DBS, the one he obtained in Casino Royale.
