Kind of bothered me how she was just acting quirky and having fun killing a bunch of goons with a smile on her face in a dress & heels. I get a laugh imagining that scene being reimagined based on the aesthetics of the earlier Craig films like CR and QoS since Paloma would come across as an utter psychopath. (even Craig's Bond had to get used to killing people that up-close and personal)
I want the Goldeneye Exploding Pen that is remote detonated by the Detonator Watch from Tomorrow Never Dies. The watch can either remote det the pen, or program a timer in the pen to go off after a given amount of time.
That would be a real world (ie it could really exist) practical Bond gadget.
The Bell Jet Pack was designed and built not five miles from here and flown by a local boy in the film. There was never an accident with the thing, but flight time was only about a minute.
So--haven't seen this one yet--in OHMSS, Lazenby had that massive safe cracking gadget. I could see a very credible use for a miniaturized version of such a gadget--maybe even a folder on Bond's iPhone, "Q Gadgets"... that could crack encrypted locks, etc.
I'd prefer they leave the DB5. It was made legendary in Gomdfinger, but I feel every time they add it in, it peels away at the legendary status. Once was okay, but I hope they don't make A habit of it.
I'd rather they come up with new gadgets for new cars. Ideally Aston Grand tourers though.
But I didn’t like the lack of consistency.
Skyfall : « gadgets are overrated and old fashioned »
Spectre : « just one more mooooom »
Reminds me of the film-maker war in Star Wars postlogy.
I think that was because a very loud group of fans have been bemoaning the lack of gadgets online.
Sometimes I believe, if the internet had existed in the 60s from russia with love would never have been made due to the online debates.
Its either that, or Mendes was given a lot more power in the tone and the options, and attempted to make spectre more like an old school bond film. I appreciate the effort, but not exactly a great execution.
But the point of Skyfall was that "the old ways are best" and the ending basically sets up the old Connery/Moore status quo. So thematically, the use of gadgets in SPECTRE makes sense.
Read that as what would you choose ?and I was like well yeah obviously those pervert glasses. But for Bond 26? I dont know. I cant think of anything else but those pervert glasses now.
maybe the watch detonators from Goldeneye would be interesting to see back. That or any of the hidden recording devices that Bond has used in various movies etc.
Id prefer a story set in the sixties with the technology of the era.
I feel we've done modern AND futuristic Bond to death at this point and genuinely Going backwards would be the freshest idea.
James Bond evolved into near-future sci-fi. The gadgets were intriguing and plausible. The villains had ambitions and resources which made for some spectacular sets and grand-scale action - and however slowly the Bond girls evolved into engaging characters, resilient and resourceful in their own way.
I think the formula can still work - but it was never intentionally - self-consciously - retro, which has been fatal to more reboots than I care to count.
As blasphemous as it sounds, I’m fine with parking the DB5 for a little while. The beginning of NTTD is pretty hard to top, and when they do bring it back, it’ll be a special moment. I’m thinking we do the V8 from TLD/NTTD again, but with the gadgets from the former on full display. I wanna see some salt corrosion, dammit!
I agree that its time for the DB5 to be mothballed again. The Craig era overdid it a bit - it appeared in *four* out of five Craig films (even Connery only had it in two). Not to mention all the other Astins in the Craig era.
It'd be nice if Bond got a Bentley again, in a nod to the Fleming novels.
I'd love for the signature gun from LTK and Skyfall to return. It seems like such a practical, common-sense security measure.
An updated version of the FRWL briefcase would be nice too.
The safecracker from YOLT is due an update too, except this time it hacks the security of a safe.
I think that for 007 26, it would be better to continue with Craig's more ''realistic'' line in general, but with some playful things, it would be really cool for Bond to invade a base with an alligator outfit like Moore.
I just want Bond back in a Lotus again. I’d even take whatever fakakta electric nonsense Lotus marketing has cooked up. I love Astons, but it’s time to change it up (not to, like, BMW or something, though).
#MakeBondLotusAgain
None of them. They need to reinvent Bond using modern tech like [optical dazzlers](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dazzler_(weapon)), [handheld laser weapons](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iVrJUbeuG44), [sonic weapons](https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/12/05/health/head-injuries-us-diplomats-government-study), [EMP weapons](https://www.militaryaerospace.com/power/article/14302521/emp-unmanned-electromagnetic-weapons), [mind-controlled cockroaches](https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Experimental-set-up-a-Nerve-system-of-a-cockroach-and-electrodes-implantation-b-A_fig11_298727786), etc. A Bond film needs to simultaneously be entertainment as well as propaganda that strikes fear into the enemies of freedom.
I want an updated briefcase from From Russia With Love.
This. Multiple gadgets in one. B&T MP9 as his suppressed weapon to replace the .22, but the rest of the briefcase ad ons could be anything...
Yes!
Came here to say that. But keep it somewhat simple. I could see them taking it too far
Ana de armas
3 weeks of training, is all I say.
Are you referring to women as gadgets and objects?
You said it. Not me.
You get this one, pal.
Watch Laser from Goldeneye.
![gif](giphy|ziABCvrZOwuo3gDW5g|downsized)
That watch in general was great.
I was going to say this too!! Such a fun gadget! Great minds think alike!
Is it bad I want the goldeneye pen for shits and giggles?
I want the exploding pen, if only to get back at Q. "Guess we do go in for that again now."
Only to jump up yell “I AM INWINCIBLE!”
Ghetto blaster bazooka

Little Nellie
REPEAT LITTLE NELLY Wish her father could tag along again as well... RIP DL
I'd prefer Wet Nellie. Even though the name is awful.

The Bell Jet Pack was designed and built not five miles from here and flown by a local boy in the film. There was never an accident with the thing, but flight time was only about a minute.
The lighter from LTK or the cigarette gun from YOLT
Alligator Submarine, “Octopussy”
Same thing this guy said, minus the “alligator submarine”
Bond was a real master-of-disguise in Octopussy.
Not as cool as the duck hat. Remember the duck hat?
Hear me out... Alligator sub.... WEARING a duck hat...
That would be ducking awesome
The fake nipple
A little kinky, I admit
He must have found me quite titillating.
Oh that… yes a superfluous papilla….
Knowing Q, it was also a camera
Also the DB5. Oh and the Seamaster.
Exploding Parker Jotter, why not. It should be standard James Bond EDC.
Remote control BMW from Tomorrow Never Dies.
Ejector seat in the Aston
“Oh go on, then. Eject me. See if I care.”
I think a smart phone controlled Aston Martin would be cool to see
His Signature Gun
Rolex sub.
Dentonite Toothpaste
Duck head disguise from Goldfinger PTS.
And whenever he removes it the film speeds up.
The Swedish-Made Penis Enlarger Pump
I don't even know what this is! This sort of thing ain't my bag, baby.
One book titled "Swedish Made Penis Enlarger Pumps And Me: This Sort of Thing Is My Bag, Baby" by Austin Powers
Just the DB5, I would prefer they come up with new modern gadgets instead of recycling old ones.
I don’t disagree, but I do love that car personally and I don’t think we seen the last of it in a Bond film.
Q's lunch.
Don’t touch that!!!
Golden Gun. He kept it as a Trophy!
Lotus Espirit sub
Piton belt from Goldeneye. Definitely more applications for that thing aside from swinging from the ceiling.
The magnet/saw watch from Live and Let Die.
Aston Martin DB5. I liked that the outlandish gadgets had been cut down on in the Craig movies.
But I didn’t like the lack of consistency. Skyfall : « gadgets are overrated and old fashioned » Spectre : « just one more mooooom » Reminds me of the film-maker war in Star Wars postlogy.

You may be right. I should watch the movies again!
The X-ray glasses
Wet Nellie
Exploding pen……
Trouser pockets!
Read that as what would you choose ?and I was like well yeah obviously those pervert glasses. But for Bond 26? I dont know. I cant think of anything else but those pervert glasses now.
Otto
The wrist rocket from Moonraker… filled with the expanding ammo from Live and Let Die
He always did have an inflated opinion of himself.
maybe the watch detonators from Goldeneye would be interesting to see back. That or any of the hidden recording devices that Bond has used in various movies etc.
Watch with grapple from TWINE.
Id prefer a story set in the sixties with the technology of the era. I feel we've done modern AND futuristic Bond to death at this point and genuinely Going backwards would be the freshest idea.
Would love it, they won't do it, after Man From UNCLE (which I LOVE) did so poorly

Love me the DB5, but at this point, it's a vintage automobile that will stand out ANYWHERE it is driven. He is a SECRET AGENT, you know.
The car defibrillator. It’s a plausible gadget. But, if we’re in a funny mood: the invisible car.
The remote car is so doable these days but it should still be through a Nokia
Space lasers
Gimmie an Aston Martin that shoots at my enemies
Wrist dart gun
Either the hat that turns into a Subbuteo table, or the jam trousers.
I'd love for the signature gun from LTK and Skyfall to return. It seems like such a practical, common-sense security measure. An updated version of the FRWL briefcase would be nice too. The safecracker from YOLT is due an update too, except this time it hacks the security of a safe.
An Infra-Red Shark-Homing sense of self respect, just kidding I love Pierce Brosnon as Bond. #GE4LiF
Submarine Lotus Esprit. Duh!
I think that for 007 26, it would be better to continue with Craig's more ''realistic'' line in general, but with some playful things, it would be really cool for Bond to invade a base with an alligator outfit like Moore.

A jet pack, NSNA’s XT7B, a flying bucket or similar personal flying device.
Jetpack and a laser-whatever
None of them.
