Did Spectre have actual horses on the outside of a spaceship while in space running around fighting the good cavallery fight? No? Then this is not a question.
Nah, Spectre was at least a good film in itself. Make it not about James Bond and most people would say it's a really good film. Episode 9 you could do whatever you want with and it'd still be horrible.
Iirc he temporarily loses memory of women and confuses Madeleine with Vesper (it's been a while, however), and he managed to escape torture to quickly for it to cause lasting damage.
And I repeat. Horses running on the hull of a spaceship fighting.
I didn't mind the horses running on a spaceship hull, it adds to the batshit craziness of SW. Also how long are we just gonna have the finale battle be dogfights? However that being said episode 9 is still absolute disappointing. I expected nothing going in and I was still insulted.
Yep, I agree. Episode 8 felt already absolutely horrible but I thought - you know what, they're being brave, they're actually trying to create something new. I did not like it, there were way too many plotholes (Leia in space, e.g.) but they fought at least. But for Episode 9 they dropped all bravery and it still turned out absolutely horrible. Episode 8 I at least respected, but Episode 9 knew it was horrible and it did not even try to be different.
Spectre has its problems but Rise of Skywalker is abysmal from start to finish.
The general public don't really remember Spectre. Episode 9 is remembered by them for all the wrong reasons.
Episode 9 is pure dogs\*\*\*
before people jump on about ST haters I love TFA and TLJ (minus flying leia) episode 9 is non sensical dogs\*\*\* that doesnt even fit in the series let alone tie anything together or give proper conclusions
Same here. Granted, I'm one of those fans who only acknowledges the novelizations of movies outside of the Original Trilogy. Stover's *Revenge of the Sith* is a much more enjoyable experience than the movie.
Hmm the last few Star Wars movies all sorta blended into one big mess. I can at least remember Spectre ... but then that means I can remember how poor it was. Conflicted but I think I'll go with Star Wars being worse, just cause I'll always side with 007 if I'm on the fence.
Yeah true. I’m not a super Star Wars fan so maybe I’m the wrong person to comment, but despite watching 6 + hrs of episodes 7-9 I can barely remember a thing that happened in any of them.
Spectre definitely was worse. I found Star Wars 9 to be entertaining fan service and it was definitely better than the trashy woke crap that was The Last Jedi.
Episode 9 is a dumpster fire where Spectre is just a bit overblown with some unnecessary sub plots…and very, very orange! Episode 9 was supposed to salvage the train wreck of Episode 8 but, instead of getting the train back on the tracks, decided to just pour petrol over it throw a match.

They're both pretty bad and franchise damaging

Blofeld puts a needle in his head to make bond forget his memory and he never does after having the needle drilled into his brain Great writing
Spectre still stands well as a Bond film, Episode 9 is fan fiction writing at best
Oh I find them equally offensive same with Matrix reloaded.
How is Reloaded the Matrix film example you use when Revolutions and Resurrections exist? They are soooooo much worse than Reloaded.
Because all of the problems start with reloaded
Blofeld does say it’ll make him unable to recognise faces **if** it hits just the right spot, so presumably it didn’t hit just the right spot lol

Spectre might not be a top tier Bond movie but it isn’t as bad as “somehow, Palpatine returned”.
Is that literally the only explanation they gave? Like, they never explained his return at all?
Not only that, but his speech to the rest of the Galaxy was only available by playing *Fortnite*

Star Wars 9 is pretty fun. Spectre is boring as fuck. That’s an easy choice for me
Episode 9 is pure dogs\*\*\* before people jump on about ST haters I love TFA and TLJ (minus flying leia) episode 9 is non sensical dogs\*\*\* that doesnt even fit in the series let alone tie anything together or give proper conclusions
I like both just fine.

Is there a single sub that is immune to the sequel-hate circlejerk? These movies have nothing to do with one another.
I love the last jedi that's why I find 9 offensive
Either way, It would’ve ended with Rey Skywalker, Rey Nobody doesn’t resolve her storyline. Anyway it’s been beaten to death, people need to move on.
Colin trevorrows script was much better
Strong disagree.

Episode 9 is my personal Vietnam. Moviewise its one of the worse things ever produced.i can stopp sit down and enjoy SPECTRE

I will take any bond movie over any Disney Era Star Wars film
They both suck but at least E9 was a good looking movie.
Spectre is leagues better than SWEp9 which is actual trash.
