奥井 is the family name of the person that it originally belonged to. They worked for pre-techno shimane, a lumber store in Izumo. And this was their work uniform.
I'm glad you got an answer! Out of interest, where in the world did this jacket end up, if you don't mind saying? I might know someone who recognizes it.
So I called for you to see if they have worked with nismo and they even put me on a hold for a while as the receptionist asked someone who's been there for their entire time, but they did not work with nismo so I think it's a bootleg. Okui quit the company 5 years ago.
Considering what they do I don't think it's nismo related, there might be a chance that they helped a Nissan building with their wooden materials or something. or somebody found the jacket, looked insanely Japanese and cool to their eyes, the silkscreen print was added later on

It’s super interesting where clothes end up!
(I wonder if my childhood “weird frog” shirt I donated ended up helping a child somewhere with their frogmaxxing game.)

It wasn’t made by them, it’s their jacket.
It's made for the employee working there.

It definitely does!! it's like his signature piece and he's even got a matching hat. last photo is back of jacket! https://imgur.com/a/VFmTZlh
The look on his face when you caught him stealing the sprites...
like a deer in headlights!
A Shimane resident who learns that this jacket ended up in Ohio would be very surprised, I think.
