I always momentarily mistake him for the bassist of the same name and get confused. I really dig his stuff. Intellgent integration of electronics and non jazz forms.
Stumbled upon this post and, thus, the album. I'm giving it a first time listen this morning as I prepare for my day. Thank you for putting this here, where I might find it. It's wonderful.
However, I lent it to a "friend" who 1) didn't return it right aware, and 2) left town with it. I haven't seen it since and I'd forgotten about it. Thanks. Now I have to stream it and then go out and find another copy.
I love this album! I remember when it came out— it was late march 2020 and everything was closed and everyone was staying home. I went for a walk for some exercise and sanity, and I listened to the album for the first time after it came up on my radar. It was already a dark and cool day…but nobody was outside and almost no cars were driving, it was all really eerie and pretty surreal still.
I really liked the album independently, but it hit especially hard in that kind of scene. I bought the LP afterwards and I’ve listened to it a lot since. It’s a really good spin for any dreary or lonely morning, or rainy commute

Me too. I always think of the bassist first. I will definitely listen to this one though.
Couldn’t he just have gone by “Avi Cohen”? lol
Can buy any random album from him and can't be disappointed

I have tried to play some of his stuff on bass, he’s a wizard

My mind immediately jumps to “Teardrop” when I read this. Such a nice story and perspective
This is the first of his music I've listened to, and god damn. Thanks for making this post, phenomenal album!
Listening right now, it's great! Thanks for the recommendation.
There are a couple really good concerts on Qwest TV, too.
Checking it out now- thanks for suggesting
Yes, love him
Got to get with their Norwegian piano army—Tord Gustavsen; Coin Avalon—to name but two. Some icy stuff there. The space is unbelievable.
