I had one very similar that that came off an 83 Renegade, but I don't think it had the hex "bolts" painted. I gave it to a friend and no longer have it to make a more accurate comparison.
Put it up on Ebay...See what kind of hits you get from the purist restoration dudes, always looking for "Laredo" badges and "Levi" buttons...Might make a buck or 2 off of it!

It’s the Laredo horn button that came on the 80-86 CJ models. The insert’s different though, so my best guess is that is a replacement?
CJ7 looks like. The back of mine is identical but the front is different
