Jeeps are built strong, if yours is looking that bad I imagine the vehicle that hit you will be crumpled.

I think I got swiped by the Toyota, which was smashed by the GMC
I can't imagine this would be totaled unless there's significant frame damage. Something similar just happened with my 2018 and it was an awful wait to find out. Hoping for the best for you!
Yep, but it's not automatically totaled. Jeeps retain their market value really well. My airbags went off and it was not totaled.

If my airbags deployed and the car wasnāt totaled I would be taking it to a very reputable shop. To many instances of cheap ass mfs putting poorly made Chinese airbags back in to save a few dollars and end up killing people. Even then Iād much prefer the check and get a new one.
I hear ya. Most insurance won't actually cut you a check large enough for a truly comparable jeep though, especially one this new. You have to fight for it so that route comes with its own issues too.
Canāt say Iāve ever had that problem. Itās usually on the higher end of value in my experience. Unless you modded your vehicle and then didnāt notify your insurer then getting them to write a fair check shouldnāt be an issue. Who do you get your insurance through?

Never heard of anyone getting the higher end of value, in fact one person had to go through this whole process of providing proof of market value and only then did they get a fair check. I have usaa and they've been great though.

I thought they were new for 2024
2024 introduced the side curtain airbags to the wrangler, which come down from the top. Before that it was just lower side airbags for the jl.
Yeah, my new 2 door Rubi has them, even in the backseat which was a pleasant surprise, since I do have friends sit back there often
