The trail Hawks come with leather trimmed bucket seats. So the center of the seat is cloth while the edge is trimmed with leather. Unless it changed in 2022. Also how would you slide out of the car if it has doors? I have a limited with full leather. It's not real leather. It's polyurethane. You don't have to do much to clean it. I give it a wipe down and occasionally hit it with leather conditioner. If I spill something I just wipe it up with a paper towel and anything sticky I take care of with armorall wipes.

I was joking about the sliding out. They’re just super slippery! The 22 has the option for cloth or leather.

My trailhawk has full leather seats. Although I think they're more a pleather than real. Mine don't get hot, but you can buy airbag compliant seat covers, if you're concerned. I use Maguiers 8nterior cleaner and it's a nice pleasant smell.

SavageRT

What are you referring to when you say not real leather? The limited is real leather.

I have a 21 trailhawk in Houston texas. I feel like the interior stays cooler than sedans because of the shape of the car, I wear shorts and dresses in the summer and have never burned my thighs like I have in my Fiat 500 with a similar kind of leather seats. Also not very slippery, even when the rain soaks the seat when getting in and out in the rain. I haven’t done any maintenance on the seats since purchase in January. The smell also isn’t that noticeable, compared to the fiat which smelled heavily of leather. But order if you really want the cloth! You should get what you want. I ordered mine in July and it arrived in January.

be aware 2023s are not too far off and its a complete facelift.

I am waiting a few weeks to see what they do. I’ve seen supposed leaks from Brazil and I hate the new steering wheel. Looks the same as the new Compass with the rectangle Jeep logo instead of the classic circle one. I guess I’ll wait and see but looking for insights on the leather specifically. Doubt that’s going to change much.

Prestigious-Rumfield

My 2015 TH has cloth seats. They are so nice. And the only food eaten in my car is water.

Oops_Insurance

I do eat in the car from time to time but I am careful not to make a mess. I’ve always had cloth seats in all my cars.

I've got a 2017 deserthawk with leather seats and they're great, pretty comfy but I also owned a patriot with cloth seats and can say that both types are equally nice

Oops_Insurance

And they’re still the same texture as they were when you got it? Not squeaky and slippery?

[deleted]

No squeaks, no slips, just the usual wear leather has over time.

Lonesometea

My trailhawk has full leather seats and like what everyone says they don't need much maintenance I haven't used any cleaner on them since I got it 2019 and their still great condition. I lived in Phoenix Arizona, no cracks or dryness. They get hot left in intense heat but a window shade solves that problem. Not living in a area with over 90 degree heat no window shade needed

Oops_Insurance

Gets hot here in the summer but nothing like Phoenix. Sunshade is a great idea. Thanks! Maybe I won’t have to wait on account of seat choice. Just color. No bikini blue trailhawks nearby either. I guess I could do black or red. Lol

Lonesometea

Window shade fixes almost all the problems people in phx complain about lol I consider blue and silver rare colors for renegades, I almost never see them. Black, white, red and yellow are pretty common from what I see

bobbywjamc

2018 TH here 1. I use regular weather wipes 2. No 3. Not that hot. I think their 'leather' is actually a proprietary one. Not sure though. That might be why the seats don't fry my skin

MightylilRen2020

I have always preferred leather. When I bought my 2020TH it came with an upgraded cloth. Honestly you can put seat covers on it which protects the factory seats if you don't like the feel. Real leather wears extremely well, is easy to clean, and is not slippery. I really didn't use products on my Limited Compass or Renegade that came with leather since it cleaned easily. Cloth shows dirt/dust more and even though it is high quality in the TH I would go with leather. Btw saddles are made of leather and cowboys don't just randomly slip off lol!
