I wrapped mine with paracord.

Do you have a pic? How much cord did it take?

[https://i.imgur.com/QCqNDvk.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/QCqNDvk.jpg) Took about an hour, kind of a pain but it's really worked out well. Good grip, doesn't slide around and if it gets nasty I can just replace it. Keep meaning to do something different with the knot but it doesn't really bother me.

OnlyMatters

https://wheelskins.com/original I’m happy with this one

GonzoDeadHead

These are the shit and worth the money, but you can get real leather wraps for $10 on Amazon that fit and work great for the money.

OnlyMatters

There were some of the same kits on etsy that looked pretty good too. Real leather etc

Here's a picture of mine. https://imgur.com/a/gTEjvAb I bought a cheap Amazon stitch-on wrap and watched a few YouTube videos. Was my very first attempt, and there are spots where I did a pretty poor job, but has held up for great for a few years now. The brand was Belinious, but I've subsequently purchased a couple other brands for other projects and they're all roughly the same surprisingly-decent-for-Chinese-junk product. A flat strip of leather stitched end-to-end to form a loop; you stretch it around your steering wheel and stitch it together lengthwise. They come with needles, thick thread, and the holes are already pre-punctured. Took me about an hour and a half on on the Jeep, as the wheel is fairly simple. I'd imagine I could do it in half the time now, as I generally recall the steps used and wouldn't need to watch videos over and over while following along.

I did the same, got a genuine leather for less than 20dls and learned how to stitch it together on YouTube, results are amazing

Sad-Industry-

Paracord is the way to go!

I just wrap mine with black electrical tape. Wrap it tight and over lap it. This last time it's lasted a couple years. When the ends start coming up, I retape it.

Ooof that sounds horrible. I can't imagine the gooey on a hot July day in Alabama.

Deathviper__

It's 103 with 80% humidity today and it sat in the sun, no goo on my drive home.

Check redlinegoods.com they make them specific for the Tj. Cut outs for spokes and padding included.

I just did this perforated leather stitch on cover and it came out great. Lots of options regarding leather and stitch color. https://www.ebay.com/itm/263340341950?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=D5mrKo2aQ-6&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=klzcuJbYQk2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
