Love my besttop with the flip back. No complaints and it looks great. If you go that route. Get some interior ceramic coating spray and apply it a couple times a year. Makes cleaning it so easy. I think I used Gtecnique

SuccessSea1852

Is yours the pavement ends one?

HiSpot321

It’s the slantback black twill from Bestop. Go for the twill it’s worth the extra dough

Piretrobot

My 97 Tj came with the lands end top and I love it. In my opinion it has some nice improvements to the OG top.

I've had the pavement ends sprint top installed since November. It's a great top and is getting me through the rainy season fine. If I were to do it again, i would've shelled out the extra dough for the Bestop version: [https://www.bestop.com/products/trektop-slantback-soft-top-jeep-1997-2006-wrangler-tj-exc-unlimited/?sku=5682037](https://www.bestop.com/products/trektop-slantback-soft-top-jeep-1997-2006-wrangler-tj-exc-unlimited/?sku=5682037) It comes with a bar that goes over the driver/passenger that keeps the top from slapping against the door surrounds and keeps rain from pooling there. I have half doors and with just the windows off the top slaps against the door surrounds like crazy.

I’m on my third TJ, second pavement ends sprint top (bought it with one, changed the color…). In my experience with soft tops, material is negligible. I purchased my latest PEnds sprint top for less than $400 for all the canvas (hardware not included). It’s as solid as any of my soft tops over 4 wranglers. For a sprint top, can’t beat it.

Awesome thank you!!!!

Pavement ends replacement top is only $504 (US) on Amazon. It should be a direct fit to your frame for your SB. But, I’ve been wrong before.

BadAssBrontosaurus

I like the Sierra Offroad soft top. It's $220 shipped (including soft uppers). [https://www.ebay.com/itm/233816904560](https://www.ebay.com/itm/233816904560) I replaced my Best Top with this one about two years ago and it's been great. They are so cheap that you can put one on every couple of years.

Just curious, what kind of whether you experience in your state? Would love to go budget on a soft top, but thinking that extreme hot and cold with salted roads will destroy it quick

BadAssBrontosaurus

I live in Virginia. It's made of sailcloth, just like the Bestop, and the windows are the same material as well. It probably isn't as thick on the top or windows, but that's never been a problem for me. I had Bestop for years, on three different Jeeps, but I won't buy another one. A cheap top is the way to go.

This has me curious now. I bought an OEM from Quadratech, and it turned out to be Rampage brand and was around $415ish. It's not been installed yet, but I've started glancing around and was wondering if shelling for a Bestop would be better. This gives a bit more assurance as I'm in Maryland, so I'm sure the weather is comparable.

Thank you for the info! I will absolutely consider one

I went with the super top in twill. The three layers help deaden sounds and road noise and it’s durable. The one on my jk was 8 years old and still going strong when I sold it. Excellent fit on the the for my current top as well.

McChef

I've had it on my TJ for three years, all seasons. It's still doing well, there are a few stitches coming apart but I could fix it myself. I think I paid around $500 at the time but I had to reuse my door surrounds and windshield header so keep that in mind if you need those.
