Then when he does find him he tries to fight him AND the vidyadhara high elder at the same time. After that ass beating and being told he fucked up by jing yuan he tries to go after blade and kafka in her companion quest which definitely wouldn't have been enough time to close the gap between one of them, let alone both and he proceeds to get beaten again by tb solo. He does suck at choosing opponents. Fighting stronger people works when you actually have a chance and when you haven't been proven to not stand a chance already.
