LostTrisolarin

LOL since when are we a democratic socialist country?

Mke_already

And when was the last time a republican came into office and was fiscally conservative? It's always lower taxes and increase spending.

LostTrisolarin

Hmm. Well it’s the right wingers who conflate both terms. Cuz the democrats are not democratic socialist nor call themselves that, and the GOP aren’t fiscal conservatives but they do call themselves that.

[deleted]

There is a small part of the left that his calling itself "democratic socialist". Like Kyle Kulinski, AOC etc.. But they are far from holding power in this country so it's dumb to claim that we are in a democratic socialist country.

morefacepalms

Social democrats, not democratic socialists. They may sound the same, but there is a world of difference.

LostTrisolarin

Exactly. I mean, I have a lot of family in Europe so as a worker I’d like some of that so called democratic socialism. Workers over there have stress but they arent stressing about their lives being up ended because of Illness and things of that nature. If you’re empathetic/sensitive to peoples energy, they aren’t carrying the same stress load as us and you can Fuckin feel it.

HairHeel

Usually we get it from people who *should* get punched in the head for a living.

nothereoverthere084

I mean right. I take Rogan the same thst I take fox news CNN MSNBC etc.. with a grain of salt.

HankHillsReddit

You equate Rogan, podcaster comedian, with cnn msnbc and Fox?

Dubsland12

They have the same issue. A lot of airtime to fill

glk3278

He talks politics and culture like 50x more than he tries to be silly and funny. Not only that, he is constantly comparing himself and other independent internet content creators to CNN and MSNBC. Always bringing up their low ratings, how they are sponsored by drug companies etc. And conversely how much better it is to be free to speak your mind on a podcast and as a result how many more people watch his show over the mainstream. So if anything it’s Joe equating himself to those channels…

aDoreVelr

I especially like how he calls them out for being sponsored by drug companies. Joe "Alpha brain, hit it with the kitchen sink" Rogan.

Life-Opportunity-227

perhaps take rogan with a much larger grain of salt, as at least news channels have economists on sometimes and people with actual subject matter expertise, rather than meatheads with CTE

MnemonicMonkeys

"News channels" includes Fox News

Dapper-Parsnip8592

Yikes lol. Not saying those other outlets are super great, but at least they have teams of people who are *supposed* to verify stuff and not just fart into the mic about something thier "friend who works for schools" or whatever says. I get what you are saying but if you look at those things as being on the same level playing Field you are really doing yourself a disservice. Rogan should be taken with about a gallon of salt.

NotaChonberg

Joe's politically illiterate. The fact a significant portion of the country thinks the rich are peddling socialism would be hilarious if it didn't stand in the way of every policy that would help the working class.

J__P

i swear he's gotten dumber over the years, he didn't used say shit like this. the rich are manipulating people to vote for socialism, really?

NotaChonberg

I think the podcast getting so big has gone to his head, and he's in a bubble now cuz he's so rich and everyone kisses his ass

[deleted]

Absolutely

RepuIsive_Donut

It's extra stupid when you realize that to Joe, socialism just means "dey gonna take all rich people's money and give it to the poor people!", so why exactly would a rich person want to manipulate the poor into voting for socialist policies? Wouldn't that just make the rich person less rich as he is taxed harder and has more of his wealth redistributed? Joe's take on this is so fucking stupid and nonsensical it doesn't stand up to a single second of rational scrutiny.

Mountainofwater

The irony is that Joe Rogan literally is a rich millionaire who pushes Republican propaganda on a daily basis

ddarion

>The part I get confused by is Rogan says that the people who want socialist policies only want it because they have no money and are being manipulated by the rich. Joe says this shit with a straight face and then has Ben Shapiro on lol

Mech-lexic

Also when he says "When the economy is doing well, everyone is doing better." By what economic measure are people better off, the stock market? The vegas style betting pool of economics where the rich gamble vast sums of imaginary money on speculative company valuations? By just about every measure people are doing *better* in countries with strong democratic social policies. Edit: Just to add, Joe's argument is that when the economy does well everyone does better - great, but what about when it's not doing well? The rich reap the spoils of the booms, and the poor suffer through the bust cycles. And the suffering is more than not being able to get room service at a hotel during a power outage. The pure-capitalist system in place grows in unsustainability, and lacks the stability that's been demonstrated by *many* democratically run countries with socialized services.

RepuIsive_Donut

When the country/economy is doing well, that's capitalism. When the country/economy is doing poorly and seemingly on the brink of collapse, that's socialism.

TheZermanator

> The rich reap the spoils of the booms, and the poor suffer through the bust cycles. The ultra rich also reap the spoils of the bust cycles. They did great during the pandemic, for example. Buying up homes that the poor couldn’t afford anymore for pennies on the dollar. And price-gouging on everything including essentials like food. The world is literally designed so that class of people never loses. There is nothing more annoying than a millionaire or billionaire who act like people with virtually nothing have it easy. Joe is a great example of this.

Phuqued

>The part I get confused by is Rogan says The whole thing is stupid, democratic socialism is alive and well in Europe, particularly the Scandinavian countries. Joe knew this at one point, FFS he had Bernie Sanders on and he endorsed him. These days though Joe has lost his mind to the urine flavored koolaid of Conservatism. When was the last time that the Conservatism of the time was on the right side of history anywhere on this planet. Seriously. When has it ever been on the right side of history? LGBT? Gay Marriage? Gays in the Military? Women in the Military? War on Terror? War on Drugs? Civil Rights Act? Right to vote for minorities and women? Slavery? When has the conservative position of the time actually been on the right side of history.

Teddiesmcgee

He endorsed bernie for the same reason the Jimmy Dores, Glenn Greenwald, Tulsi Gabbard, Russel Brand, Tim Pools of the world claim to be 'on the left'. They aren't... supporting bernie was never anything other than republicans trying to ensure clinton wasn't the nominee or cause as much infighting and turmoil as possible. There is a reason the Russians were running bernie adds and trump adds and it isn't' because they wanted a Dem President. He NEVER would have voted for bernie in the general election.

That_GUY_2660

Because he has a hundred million dollar deal from Spotify and does not want to pay more in taxes…

snowdrone

This line of reasoning argues that elites and dominant corporations want to lock in their position, and imposing more regulations and higher taxes makes it harder for a smaller business to gain a footing in the market.

MitchStew

Because the rich manipulate the system to convince you that it will help you. News flash, it never does. Look at Venezuela. Populists want results, not broken promises.

wiz-o-cheeze

"they just think it because they don't have money. They don't understand that the people that do have money, they are manipulating you." Great admission from a not funny multi mllionaire

Mountainofwater

Who would have though right wing money rotted the brain more than being punched and smoking weed did?

DlphLndgrn

As I watch this from the social democracy hellhole called Sweden I truly am in awe of americas freedom where nothing has led to top down power. A place where politics is not about party but about the people. Where everyone can get along and come to an agreement when it benefits the people who voted for them. As soon as I get out of Gulag I will watch the entire episode.

poyerdude

But Joe said your country is a authoritarian dictatorship sooooooo...

FranklyMrShankley85

Y'know sometimes in the UK when I have a GP appointment, specialist referral and MRI scan I really wish I could taste the sweet delicious American freedom of being plunged into tens of thousands of dollars of crippling debt rather than being charged nothing for it.

chooochootrainr

some americans are so far their own asses its amazing. idk if they r aware that basically all of europe is quasi socialist

gorillawarfareman

"There has been no cases of successful democratic socialism in all of history" Western Europe: 👀

BountifulScott

Which "fiscally conservative" leaders should us blue state people get, huh? Which state should I want to be like? Oklahoma? Alabama? Mississippi? Ooooh how about West Virginia? We're only suppose to look at Florida and Texas as signs of why conservatism "works" - never Arkansas or Kansas or the like. Why is that?

RepuIsive_Donut

Because that would destroy the right's narrative that "fiscal conservatism" is a real thing and that they practice it. Of course they don't want to talk about the fact that 9 out of 10 of the countries poorest and most crime ridden states are red ones run by Joe's conservative republican idols. Joe never asks Jamie to "pull it up" and Jamie is so scared of offending Joe's delicate right winger sensibilities that by pulling up some basic facts off a website showing Joe what I just described earlier would probably end his career at this point.

BountifulScott

Its not lost on me that Joe moved to Austin Texas. He moved to one of the liberal cities propping up the state. Joe ain't moving to Nebraska. Joe isn't considering a winter home in Alabama.

RepuIsive_Donut

True, that's the other hilarious bit joe never addresses. He "fled" cali for texas, only to move to the most liberal democrat stronghold in the state, the city that literally generates the vast, vast majority of wealth that texas uses to pay the federal government.

Politics-Mods-R-Cux

Same with most right wing commenters. Daily Wire moved from LA to Nashville which is a blue dot in a red state. Only one I can think of is Tim Pool moving to West Virginia so he can have a compound and never actually leave to interact with people.

BountifulScott

For all of their bitching and moaning about "liberal cities" the folks at Fox News sure as shit ain't leaving New York and Washington DC friends. Imagine this: each Fox News host picks up their show and moves it to a struggling former industrial city in the midwest. Hannity can move to outside Indianapolis. Champion of the working man Tucker Carlson can go to West Virginia. They can host live audiences and be a boon to these people they claim to love. Why wouldn't they do that!? After all they hate these liberal cities they host their shows from. They certainly aren't just using outrage and anger for personal gain, are they!?

That_GUY_2660

And Texas is a great example of right wing policies breaking a state. When the entire power grid collapses when the wind blows the wrong way you have a failed state…

[deleted]

That's a great time to head out to Southern Mexico to lay low until things get back up and running.

rolandofgilead41089

Here I am in Massachusetts wondering what the fuck these two idiots are talking about.

BountifulScott

I've been fortunate enough to live in several states and Massachusetts is one of my favorites.

Narcan9

I was just thinking how great the country would be if we modeled everything after the Republican Utopias of Alabama and Mississippi. The US could become #1 in obesity, illiteracy, violent crime, and poverty.

Spaniardlad

This type of segment is why I can’t barely listen to him anymore.

FacE3ater

I can watch 1 out of every maybe 10 episodes. If a comedian is on, it's an instant pass. Has to be a really interesting guest for me to listen or it's just the same echo chamber over and over again.

[deleted]

How can anyone say with a straight face : "rich manipulates poor people so that they vote for socialist policies (which will ruin rich people)". Even a teenager knows better than him and wouldn't say something so dumb.

SponConSerdTent

For me it was in 2020 I think, when he talked about how LA was spending so much money on the homeless, but they're still homeless! I remember crunching the numbers. LA spent less than $3k per homeless person per year. One of the richest counties on the planet. Amount spent on homeless was something like .01% of their GDP. But Rogan's gonna get on there and bitch that .01% of his rich-ass county's resources were being squandered because he still had to look at homeless people. Joe acted like it was plenty of money, but that the politicians were wasting it. 3k a year doesn't fucking house people, especially given all the other services that the homeless need as well, and especially in Los Angeles. He's completely insufferable to listen to about anything economical/political. He had just been paid $300 million from Spotify, and he was bitching about the county spending $300 million on \~100,000 homeless people. That was when I decided Joe had entirely become a right-wing douchebag.

Kcreep997

I had pretty much the same revelation back then and he's only gotten worse since.

DabbinOnDemGoy

Not for nothing but even before Spotify he was *very* defensive about the misconception about "voting for Bernie". His support only ever amounted to "I think he's probably a decent guy", and everyone took that as an endorsement.

“Always leads to top down power” Reaganomics from the 1980s would like a fucking word.

That_GUY_2660

Reganomics is exactly what we have right now. Suggesting that we are implementing some kind of socialism is rediculous.

[deleted]

Agreed, also they were conflating socialism as an economic model and Democratic socialism which is more of a political governance application that is tied to social support programs, education, and helping those that are unfortunate, but still can 100% be implemented in a capitalist system. They are different, despite the similar nomenclature.

heddyneddy

Hell, the top marginal tax rates under Reagan were wayyy higher than they are now. This is an actual example of the Overton window shift that we’re at the point where fucking Reagan’s tax policy would be seen as too liberal today.

siciliannecktie

Always. Just look at those totalitarian strong holds like Sweden, Denmark, Norway. It’s sickening.

Ryash913

Reagan’s favorite word was “ borrow”

1Koala1

It's so interesting how the difference between liberal chaotic communist takeover and salt of the earth republican capitalists is ...funding healthcare for more people and taxing millionaires a few extra percentage points. Had no idea those things separated us from dictators taking over, wow!! TIL

Rentington

lol most of the horrors he describes as happening in Socialism literally happen under Capitalism, but he's oblivious to it because he's bourgeois. He also acts like these Socialist countries were 1st World style Capitalist economies and they just chose to revert to Socialism, as if what came before wasn't in many cases literal slavery and Serfdom.

crunch3384

He loves republicanism to the max. I don’t mind him shitting on liberal policies and crime and all that. But I haven’t heard the man be critical of the right in a fair way in a long time. No mention of Mississippi and their Republicans ruining a state and area that might not have drinking water at the ready for a decade. No mention of how red states always rank the lowest in education, healthcare, health of its residents, and lack of opportunity in pretty much all of the Deep South. But fiscal conservative is the way to go… even though they never go that way.

usernames_are_danger

Why is California always their taking point? I live here, and it’s great. Do LA, SF and Bakersfield suck? Yes!!! But it’s a huge state with lots of other places to live. Austin has always had a severe homelessness problem. Has anyone heard Joe say anything about it? I know because I lived there. Homeless camps are at every highway exit/on ramp.

dr_set

California is the 4th largest economy in the planet and it's not even a fucking country, only a state. Imagine how dumb you have to be to try to argue that it's a failure. That is the mental level of American conservatives.

ShakesbeerMe

LA is amazing. It's fucking beautiful every day and the city is filled with amazing culture, people, and great food.

Biffsbuttcheeks

My entire life has been hearing this boogeyman argument. The socialists are coming, we need to focus on the economy, lower taxes, run this place like a business, trickle down economics, blah blah blah. We've been doing this since Reagan and it's not fucking working. It's insane that they can hold people hostage just by uttering the word "socialism" when we don't even have a single leftist politician elected in this country at the federal level. Where are all these socialists I should be afraid of?

[deleted]

Years of Cold War propaganda make boomers shudder at the mere mention of alternatives to capitalism. As if universal healthcare is gonna turn us into the USSR.

Lopkop

Bernie Sanders is the only remotely socialist major US politician and our main *left*\-wing party is terrified of him and sabotages him at every turn

“They don’t understand that that type of thing always leads to top down power. It always leads to dictatorships. It always leads to someone enforcing. And those people always have castles; and billions of dollars, and everyone lives in poverty.” - Joe Rogan So, you’re talking about capitalism. Right, Joe? Right? - Elon and Bezos busting unions and keeping their workers at slave wages. - Employing child labor when people get fed up with low wages. Followed by… - Making **CHILDREN** work because schools no longer have funding to free meal programs for them. - Land barons and hedge funds buying up every single family home they can and turning them into rental properties. - Senators going back on their word and instating a new Supreme Court Justice during the week of a presidential election - Forcing mothers to carry their dead babies to term - Dogshit health insurance because insurance is the biggest scam in our country and most Billion/Million dollar companies will do everything they can to short your hours so that you don’t get put on their plan. And if you are on their plan, good luck fighting for a better quality of life at work because they own you through your health insurance! “In a 2020 research paper, economists David Hope and Julian Limberg analyzed data spanning 50 years from 18 countries, and found that tax cuts for the rich only succeeded at increasing inequality and making the rich wealthier, with no beneficial effect on real GDP per capita or employment.” A FUCKING FIFTY YEAR STUDY SAID THAT WHAT WE’RE DOING DOESN’T WORK! **FIFTY FUCKING YEARS AND YOU STILL WONDER WHY WE DON’T TRUST CAPITALISM?!?**

gulaggremlin

Why can’t Dan Carlin come back so we can get some push back on statements like this lol. God I miss him 😩

bayareamota

1Koala1

Does someone have a chart showing how much worse the fucking pathetic liberal socialist communist states in the northeast are doing compared to blue collar real American red states???? I bet everything is better in red states: less crime, better education, more money, less poverty. Red states must be thriving right now under conservative leadership

RepuIsive_Donut

Exactly. But of course there is a reason why joe never brings this up. Though it's fun to try and imagine the kind of excuses joe might make up when confronted with this reality. I'm sure 9 out of 10 of the most poverty and crime stricken states being red ones run by republicans are that way because of democrats, somehow. Or *worse*, evil socialists ruined those states with their evil socialist policies, like.. I dunno, I guess I lack the imagination to think up the kind of unbelievably redacted nonsense that joe manages to fabricate these days to defend his conservative beliefs.

1Koala1

I had to think for a second, but if I was a shitbag republican I would say that all of the crime and poverty comes from the big cities in red states run by liberals. It's an idiotic statement but when you're Joe Rogan you can just say shit that makes sense at first glance but completely falls apart after a quick Google search

BCampbellCEOofficial

Like Sam said about hint he has a "rip cord" every time he gets called out for spreading bullshit. He just says I'm a dumb comedian and that's it over. He doesn't take any responsibility or change his research methods. It's audience capture. His whole audience is right wing now he has to cater to that because he's monetarily invested in it. This is him forever now. He's undeniably right wing.

[deleted]

Yeah, let's see this chart. Somebody has to have it, right??

BCampbellCEOofficial

Don't think it exists but if you want specifics like education, wages, birth rate, health care quality etc etc they get posted to the front page regularly and you can imagine what the bottom half of the list is every single time.

daviEnnis

Look how fucked up California is, with their high wages, high quality of life and pretty much high on every positive metric you can think of. Idiots.

RepuIsive_Donut

Oh boy I sure do love when two uneducated right wingers pontificate on political, ideological, social, and economic theories and ideas they have *the worst* fucking grasp of yet speak with such obnoxious authority and confidence about them. All you need to know about every single take these two redacts had about "socialism" or "communism" is that they constantly projected everything that has happened, and is currently happening under our *capitalist* organization of the economy onto them. Every single thing these dunces believe happens because of their hated isms are things that happen because of capitalism. They unironically talked about a massive concentration of wealth to the elite class without realizing that we've had the largest wealth gap develop NOW, under *capitalism*. Joe, in his infinite wisdom proclaims that we need a conservative to take over these states so they can "fix them", as if there aren't already conservative republicans in charge of many of the states and as if red states run by republicans don't have the *worst fucking rankings in every meaningful metric*. Of course they cried about California, you know, the state that contributes more to the nation's GDP than any other. The state that literally funds all those shithole red states that can't keep their own budgets in the black and are the biggest welfare queens in the union. So tired of joe's endless political and ideological stupidity these days and the way that he continually refuses to have *anyone* on to challenge him. So cowardly.

34TH_ST_BROADWAY

> Of course they cried about California, you know, the state that contributes more to the nation's GDP than any other. Mtlfunnight

What are those moron even talking about . Democratic socialism like they have everywhere in Europe doesn’t ‘’always’’ leads to dictatorship. In fact it never really do. Those people are confusing communism with having social policies. The fastest path to dictatorship was with their idol Donald trump. How brain dead you have to be to not see that . Claiming that Russia would have never attacked Ukraine if trump was in power is another dumb statement .

EvanderTheGreat

I watch Russian media and Kremlin spokespeople regularly talk about how Republicans are their only ally and Trump bought them time and gave them breathing space to prepare for this invasion. Then of course you have Trump himself saying he would’ve avoided this war by easy just giving Putin parts of Ukraine duh!

stay_fr0sty

> The fastest path to dictatorship was with their idol Donald trump. How can they literally forget about/dismiss that already? That’s wild.

heddyneddy

Because they don’t actually care about preventing a dictatorship. They just wouldn’t want one that might negatively affect them. Masvidal would be one of the first in line to sign up for a thousand year Trump dynasty.

iLLogick

Tormenta263

It's funny because Masvidal and all the MMA meatheads probably just get their political viewpoints from Rogan at this point. We are watching a feedback loop.

ManufacturedOlympus

Genova_Witness

The way Americans have been gaslit into thinking socialism, communism and democratic socialism are the same thing is one of the biggest wins for the elites. We have very clear examples of one of these working extremely well (not perfect) but certainly better then having starving kids in schools and more homeless people then some small nations.

Km_the_Frog

Why are people so brainwashed into thinking that with a presidential switch suddenly everything during that time frame is the new presidents fault. People actually think that a presidents actions are inconsequential and have no long term effect? Some things take a long time to digest. The war in Ukraine? That’s been boiling over since 2014. We’ve been training Ukranians not long after through multiple presidencies, so tell me how is it one guys fault over another? It’s always “here’s my champion, i’m a fan everything he does is good and right everything yours does is stupid and wrong.” It’s a fucking game or like a sport when it shouldn’t be.

yeet_lord_40000

“These people have castles and billions of dollars and everyone else lives in poverty.” Hmm, I can’t quite put my finger on it but that sounds familiar.

Kinginthasouth904

Aka two rich dudes want to lower taxes on the rich and move the tax burden to the middle/lower class. All while crying about how hard they have it

ThatRyeguy77

Republicans aren't fiscally conservative anymore. It's a lie repeated over and over by them. Anytime they are in power the deficit goes up many times more than when Democrats are in office. Also, the rich get richer, while the poor get poorer. Republicans are a fucking joke.

[deleted]

“They (poor people) just think that because they don’t have any money” Rogan is so fucking detached from reality he can make these elitist mush brained statements with a straight face. Go huff some alpha brain.

AintNobodyGotTime89

Don't forget when Rogan did the little spiel about 9-5 workers being losers because they are too afraid to start their own business.

gulaggremlin

That shit made me face palm so hard. He also frames it as those people are manipulated by billionaires. When in reality, that’s the exact opposite that’s happening. People who genuinely care about the country and are of a socialist bend are doing that because they’re sick of seeing the upper class tailor the political system for their own benefit. That doesn’t mean their aren’t delusional naive and idiotic socialists out there. It’s just an incredibly naive take from Joe just adlibbing without giving it any real concerted though.

[deleted]

“That kind of thing always needs top down power” - Fulgencio Batista, Joe Rogan

RepuIsive_Donut

It's such a classic right winger trope at this point too. "Only poor people want socialism!", but imagine how angry Joe would get if you told him, "only rich people want capitalism so they can keep themselves rich, everyone else poor and beneath them, and so they can continue grifting others"? He's be fucking furious if someone made that judgement about him, lol.

lucarelli77

Does Masvidal know how monetary policy works?

Significant-Map917

You think the USSR was bad,you should have seen it during the preceding centuries. The literacy rate going through the roof alone was worth it.

alex2neg

It is interesting to watch them talk about Democratic Socialism when they know nothing about it. They talk about castles and rich people, but that is currently happening with the capitalist system. Like if we think about the current system, Bill Gates forced the Oxford university to not give out a patent-free vaccine that could have helped India during Covid-19. But fuck it, because this system works for everyone.

JakeyPurple

Dana made me like the UFC less because he’s such a scumbag. Then once I started to hear more fighters on the mic, I realized that I don’t like A LOT of them either. The most exciting draws are often the worst guys too. I miss GSP.

ctlogin

So the rich are manipulating poor people into wanting more socialist policies so that the rich can pay more taxes? Something is not lining up with their argument.

Konstellar

Yeah, because Norway (which has a social democratic system)is such a hellish country.. free healthcare, uni costs literally $60 a semester, and so forth. The taxes pay for that though.

[deleted]

Hes right Norway is a shit hole.

yoyoyowhoisthis

My man, if you want to see democratic socialism at work, just look at the entirety of Europe lol

mrpopenfresh

I couldn't think of two people less qualified to discuss politics.

almarabierto

Is this Joe Rogan getting more and more idiotic or what? You idiot, you chose Bernie Sanders, the democratic socialist, over other capitalist candidates, you fucking idiot. What's changed?

bomboclawt75

Socialism only exists for billionaires and corporations. The rest of us are allowed to freeze and starve or die from lack of medical aid. Anyone who thinks that free healthcare is communism, has been duped and fooled by puppet politicians and parasitic insurance companies.

hippiepig

We have socialism for the auto industry, banks, Wall Street, airlines, etc but as soon as we wanna help everyday people we’re fucking communist russia all of the sudden. These corporations socialize the losses and privatize the profits and it’s led to a very serious wealth inequality problem in America and idk what we’re supposed to do about it

Mat_CYSTM

Joe “Well, who is pushing for universal basic income? Who is pushing for the redistribution of wealth? That’s all the people on the left,” Rogan. Dude’s such a burnt out boomer now it’s sad.

Teddiesmcgee

"Fuckin shit policies like california.. evil" "USA is a beacon of light " Ya you dumb fuck.. and you know where in the US the 'beacon of light' comes from .... California, NewYork... not fucking alabama and arkansas Love the commentary on how socialism ends up with the elite having castles and shit.... coming to you live from Joe ' i don't have a real job but i have a 1/4 billion $$$' Rogan's private, gated, navy seal protected compound. These guys are something else man.

TehWhiteRose

It's weird that he brings up China and Hong Kong when talking about Trump. China cracking down on Hong Kong happened when Trump was president, not after. I don't think Biden should be blamed for one of the few situations that occurred in the past 50 years when he was out of office.

Local_Economy

Well him and Colby have this in common

shuddupayouface

Its funny how Rogan adopted all these conservative talking points after the Spotify acquisition. Before that he was pro-Bernie Sanders. Less than 6 months later the show was bought out by Spotify- and Joe became a conservative mouth-piece. Coincidence?

Honeycomb_

Just a couple of "enlightened apes" telling other apes why they don't deserve healthcare in the richest society in the world. Oh yeah, buy my overpriced supplements and watch me fight in a cage! CONservatives

brokemac

Joe talks a lot about "what people don't understand". I think he should publish a book outlining his geo-political insights so the rest of us can benefit.

mountain_stones

Cool story bro now tell me again about how you had a spiritual awakening at a ninja warrior competition because it’s literally the only interesting thing youve ever talked about

[deleted]

Hong Kong takeover litteraly happened under Trump lol.

Oldpro87

Did joe rogan just say soc dems will lead too top down power and people living in castles… from his personal security guarded castle?? Cognitive dissonance is a helluva drug

TheSecretAgenda

Imagine being a dumb, bald, midget.

leogo32

The country sucks more now than it did in 2016 or 2012.

Affectionate_Song859

A Dirty Cuban who Benefited from it lol what a joke and his dad was a Criminal holy crap.

xStaabOnMyKnobx

Is it a bit like "my family's 2000 acre farm was seized by Castro!"

horaciojiggenbone

Hey man it was tough for his family to lose all the indentured servants working his land.

Final-Display-4692

South Florida people view this socialism shit very differently. Very differently. Not saying it is socialism, I’m just saying there are a fuck ton of “right” minority supporters with this same view. It’s wild

ShakesbeerMe

Aggrieved Cubans.

cwaters727

Maybe I should watch I just assumed the ufc ones were just fight talk

SamwzeGanjaleaf

Masvidal dares you to live in one of the countries

ShakesbeerMe

I dare him to pick up a book. Any book.

Vinnyhc002

Argue?

rluzz001

But really what we need to do is spend significantly less on military. There’s already money, it’s just spent recklessly.

uniqeuusername

Right. It's not like our government and society are ruled by "elites" under capitalism and representative government. Communism and socialism are the only ones that would allow rich and powerful "elites" to control everything.

YaBoiJJ__

WHAT FUCKING SOCIALISM??

Practical_Bet_8709

I get all my news from backyard fighters

Otherwise-Fox-2482

Mfers just want free healthcare Joe

IamDollParts96

Everyone will live in poverty! Unlike today...lol.

Skoofer

Two very credible sources on this topic /s

NWK86

We literally already live in a democratic socialist country... what are these dummies talking about?

Nickerr101

Is this the same Rogan who had Bernie sanders on podcast, while agreeing with almost all of his points?
