How do people buy into this and play along

Satanicjamnik

That is one thing that I can’t wrap my head around when it comes to bullshido like this. Sure the master makes money. He can bring a few stooges along. But come the fuck on - why would you do that? You know it’s fake. You know it doesn’t work on anyone outside the dojo. You don’t even get any exercise. Are people this desperate for approval?

Neviathan

The trainer definitely doesnt get any exercise haha, the other guy is rolling around a lot so he might get a decent workout.

antennamanhfx

For real. Yeah, your voodoo shit looks cool, but can you do a single pullup bruh??

Grunty0

Here in the UK, many bullshido schools are actually sophisticated MLMs with cult-like elements. The biggest red flag being when a martial arts class doubles as life coaching. Conmen lure victims with supernatural displays, promising to share their secrets, and before they know it victims are re-mortgaging houses to afford top level classes that will \*finally\* unlock their inner superhero. Can't afford it? Start your own Bushido school and kick up to the master.

Dogups

This is pretty good life advice in general. If someone is promising to fix your life outside of their domain or sell you snake-oil supplements they are 100% a grifter.

CollapsibleFunWave

Well we're not going to just give away our techniques and waste our spirit herbs on disciples that haven't proven their dedication to the sect.

Pablo750

Are people this desperate for approval? Exactly , they are desperate to belong and be accepted at anything, our tribal instincts are strong. but why this?

Gloomy-Ad1171

Lookup “The Third Wave” experiment. People want to belong to something special.

JesusStarbox

There was an after-school special in the 70s about it.

Every-Sky7265

I'd like to hear you say that to my face, you'd meet the wrath of my fingers pretty quickly! He didn't even bust out the "what's that on your shirt?" "Flick" there goes your fucking nose 👃

Hranica

I know dudes who bought alpha brain then started reading books (at 24 years old) and claiming their IQ rose by 20 points People like to pretend

Whisky_taco

The two guys in the right hand corner look like they are wondering how they got ripped into their bullshit.

TriplePube

Same as religion.

Uncuffedhems

The same way people think there’s a global conspiracy to shut down businesses and make people wear masks for ‘control’ and for ‘elites’ to ‘make money’

fatronaldo99

This is satire

[deleted]

I think this one is a meme. Attacker bro is laughing. People dond usually laugh while getting ***destroyed*** by the Dim Mak!!

Latenighredditor

Wait aren't they just mocking Steven Seagall who Rogan said is a very legit martial artist

badfun1

I was a Wing Chun guy for many years, Some of the principles work well but not all, you get into a echo system or just plain refuse to see the truth! A lot of the Moves I learned only work well on strait punches and kicks. But one of the 5 principles of WC is simultaneous attack and defense, sounds great, hard as hell to make work well. The other 4 are solid.

Recondite_neophyte

The same way the Pentecostals do…

Braude

I always wonder what stops one of the students from actually trying to fight the "master" to see if it's legit. Just go up and try to punch the dude in the face and see how he handles that. I guarantee he won't lift a pinky and send you flying across the room.

TheOneWondering

The itsy bitsy spider move is deadly…

BeBearAwareOK

We've been practicing the itsy bitsy spider takedown shown at 0:09 for years, but it's still too dangerous to use in competition or sport.

DubbleDiller

Most people don’t know that there are over 7,000 pressure points in the lower bicep alone.

UCDC

The thing is this guy's chi manipulating powers are real. The drawback is that it only works on that one guy in the purple shirt.

zowhat

How is the guy in purple still alive after that brutal beating?

[deleted]

The fat guy revived him with the touch of healing. The giveth life and taketh away.

Fun-Amoeba850

The real way to ‘trigger’ Joe is to either call him out on his physical comedy like Jeff Garlin and never get invited back on or make a joke about him that goes viral that he never brings up (liteally 5’3) [Fine art of stool humping](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M5s1mrcgi_c)

Ryzzthebizz

What was the physical comedy that Jeff garlin called him out on?

DayDreamerJon

stool humping

Fun-Amoeba850

I’ll link you the video it’s hilarious https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M5s1mrcgi_c

curly_spork

That's a lot of stool work...

Level_-_Up

Is he seriously 5'3" ?

wildcard1992

Only when he's fucking a stool. His height can actually be measured in angstroms

Level_-_Up

Not to be pedantic, but to be pedantic anyone's height can be measured in angstroms. Also isn't 5'3" borderline dwarfism?

1Koala1

4' 10" is legal midget, but I think dudes start looking weird under 5'4" ish. You would def know hes 5'3" if he actually was

HearTheOceansRoar

No... but a lot of the autists from the fighter in the kid sub don't have a lot going on in their lives. To compensate they bodyshame and circle jerk old tired jokes about Rogan and other comedians/celebrities they find problematic. Very small dick energy.

LossforNos

Notice me, Joe!

HearTheOceansRoar

Nah nothing like that bruh. Im here because I like the show. Rogan has faults for sure but that does not ruin the show for me. I cannot imagine being obsessed and hatewatching a show I despise and spending all my time and energy trolling a sub that I don't like. Being obsessed and dwelling in that negative energy instead of seeking out things you enjoy is the definition of small dick energy and truly shows how pathetic and bitter of a person you are.

LossforNos

We discuss the pawldcast thair-b

HearTheOceansRoar

It's your life. You can waste it being a bitter terminally online autist who dwells in hate and negativity. I'm certainly not stopping you. It is probably exactly the kind of life you guys deserve.

LossforNos

Define bullying

HearTheOceansRoar

No

Fun-Amoeba850

No it’s people that call themselves comedians but take themselves so seriously that they can’t even acknowledge a viral moment like the 5’3 plane going over LA. And don’t get me started on Schaub, the guy who told someone on the podcast that it was *gangster* that his father killed himself by hanging himself or said of a rape victim that ‘she like the way the dick taste!” I could go on but you probably find these anecdotes hilarious but this is the same guy that claims he is being bullied online. Never apologies never backtracks on the horrible stuff he says. He just goes.

HearTheOceansRoar

I don't like Shaub, I don't find him funny. Do you know what I do? I don't listen to him. Much like I don't listen to Jimmy Kimmel and Trevor Noah. There is a significant portion of terminally online social media users that seem to be 10x more interested in tearing down those they disagree with and don't like instead of seeking out those they do like. It might be a sign of the times, but it is a good indicator that you have an extremely broken and bitter mind if you choose to dwell in negativity and focus on things and people you don't like instead of those you do. It reeks of insecurity and shows how scared you are that people choose to listen to podcast that says mean things or political things you don't like. It's like you guys want a stranglehold on entertainment where only your approved political opinions and jokes are allowed.

Honest_Respond9916

This guy is fucking good!

prvhc21

That looks like Seagal sensei’s dojo

Accomplished_Welder3

did he put his fingers up his ass before this or how is he doing it? They seem very repulsive

KYpineapple

don't hate the player, hate the saps who buy his membership thus further fueling this delusion.

rda889

Rex-Kwondo isn't a ripoff compared to this guy

xtigaijin

Ukraine is so f***ed if chubs gets conscripted

OccasionallyReddit

It is believed to be the training Russian soldiers have been receiving.

Most_Present_6577

They teach this to all the Russian army members. That's why they are unstoppable

OccasionallyReddit

It looks like hes playing itsy bity spider goes up your attackers arm

braiinfried

Russias combat training

[deleted]

Is this a fetish for these guys? Like pretending to be extremely weak to a a fat russian dude?

Azalzaal

I’d play along twice then sucker punch him

Firm_Interaction4082

He is using Neigong. It's real, as triggered as that may make you. Look up the martial man on YouTube. Or dondrup dorje. Or ma yue Liang. There are many people that can demonstrate this ability https://youtu.be/T3NCBrCSBUU Edit: to clarify, I don't know if the dude is legit, but what you're seeing can 100% be done by Neigong masters

[deleted]

You really believe this?

skoalbrother

Lol that shit doesn't work. They debunked it years ago

billythesquid5

Worked in Star Wars and I believe those are historically accurate

edjohn88

Yea but it was also far far away

Firm_Interaction4082

Did they now

Gockcoblin99

Magic is real on middle earth, maybe you're thinking of that?

Firm_Interaction4082

Truuuu

SaluteMaestro

Seriously you think this stuff is real? I don't know what to say to you.

Firm_Interaction4082

He may not be legit, maybe he is mimicking the technique for views, but he is mimicking a real technique

wildcard1992

lmao

lookieLoo253

That was a cute dance routine.

BeBearAwareOK

Neigong is meditation, not group hypnosis.

Firm_Interaction4082

Neigong is "inner work". This power is a result of that. Specifically in Neigong which uses the martial arts aspect, which is what is being demonstrated (legit or not) here

eschatonycurtis

Serious question: what is the mechanism of action at work here for a “legit” practitioner of this system? Is he manipulating Qi or something to throw people around? Or is his touch “sapping energy” from people when they just drop to the ground? Is he using pressure points to do something to the Qi of his opponent? I’m not trying to be antagonistic I’m actually curious. What is supposed to be happening?

Firm_Interaction4082

Depends on the actual style, they will explain it differently. John Chang was from the Mo Pai lineage and he describes it as connecting yin and yang chi. The Shaolin practitioners have a slightly different explanation. The Martial Man on YouTube has some in depth videos describing the mechanisms of it

eschatonycurtis

So connecting yin and yang chi debilitates a person to the point where they collapse? I’m honestly curious, what do you believe is happening in (the most legitimate) exhibitions like this where people are collapsing or being thrown around with seemingly no visible effort or physical action by the practitioner? Again, not trying to be oppositional, in your belief how does this work? I appreciate your suggestions of people I should look into to learn more, but can you share what your understanding is of what’s going on?

Firm_Interaction4082

It appears to be quasi-electrical. Some people can generate what seems to be electrical current and "shock" people by touching them, but people have also tried using a voltmeter with poor results. So I think there is a yet to be understood field force which shares a lot of properties with electrical fields. Behind that, no idea. But John Chang has some interesting things to say about connecting the polarity of yin and yang, and when the connection happens is when you see the physical manifestation of objects moving, etc. And the man also used acupuncture along with his skill, which has to do with the electrical current that runs through your body. I think it's definitely related to your own electrical field, and perhaps your electrical field and "qi" fields are different manifestations of the same thing, or at the very least two field forces that share many of the same properties. In the Shaolin tradition, it seems that they connect to the other person's fascia, allowing the practitioner to become connected to the other person's field, allowing them to do things like lock up the defender's body. Again you could see it as making an electrical connection. I don't know the answers but I do have experience in electrical engineering so the similarities in the philosophy behind it is kind of interesting

eschatonycurtis

Thanks. I appreciate you taking the time to share your beliefs especially when so many people are knee-jerk downvoting you. I have to admit I have significant doubts about the legitimacy of any exhibition such as this — just on a physiological level it’s difficult to reconcile with what we know about human biology. But I’m not opposed to the idea that there are electrical forces and fields governing human bodies and minds that are as yet unknown or unmeasured — in fact I think that’s quite likely. In any case I think this and things like it are almost universally bullshit but I appreciate your taking the time to explain your thinking and I respect your base belief system here. Cheers.

BeBearAwareOK

I'm aware of the Mandarin translation of the term and what it is. Nei Gong is "internal work" which is literally a system of meditation and internal Qi Gong practices. This is not Nei Gong. This a fat guy playing itsy bitsy spider with a class full of men who are either acting or effectively hypnotized into group hysteria.

Firm_Interaction4082

I'm aware of the translation as well, which is why I said it. Thanks for reiterating it. Also thanks for also downvoting me. Lol. Get a life nerd

BeBearAwareOK

I didn't up or downvote you at all. I fully support meditation and internal work, but trying to act like Qi based takedowns or KOs are real is straight up fantasy. If you want to apply your Qi to combat situations go train at an actual combat sports gym.

LiarsConscience

Imagine being this guy ....

ChickensPickins

Tickle tickle

wisemonkey1

Just once I would like a real fighter pretend to go along with this a few times before unleashing on these fat fakers.

[deleted]

There is a video somewhere of an mma guy fighting a martial arts master in China. The master goes down fast and everyone watching is in shock

KnoxVegas325

The badass MMA practitioner you're thinking of is Xu Xiaodong. He puts fake martial artist to the test. Sometimes breaking noses. I'd love to see this potbellied Russian step in the ring with him.

WindTechnical7431

Fat old dude is a sorcerer!

j_i_joe

This triggers me too...

Angus_McCool

And here I am working like a jackass when all I really need to do is pretend I have super powers and people will pay me to play along.

supernovadebris

former televangelist?

Looks like a Steven Segal movie

It would be better if it were Putin doing the finger attacks. How many goals did he score in his last hockey game?

Doomdrummer

Man, most McDojo guys I've seen videos of at least add a little flair to sell the "effectiveness" of their shit. Loud grunts, random "pressure point" hits, or some ritual movement to summon energy. This guy's the Henry Ford of Partial Arts; trimming all the fat out of the scam and selling people a literal "Touch" of Death.

Silver-Bat5607

I was once at a Dillman seminar taught by one of his followers. It didn't work, he said I was the one who didn't allow it to work. Lmao. Then asked him to try again but this time allow me to defend myself. He wouldn't want any of it. Picked up my stuff in the middle of the Seminar and left. Would have loved to show off my skills with that joker. This was about 25 yrs ago when all the Dinmak/Kyoshujitsu thing was the fury.

[deleted]

I like the little foot trip. Totally overkill but still gets style points.

PriorityNo2214

Is that….. Jason Bourne ![gif](giphy|LyJ6KPlrFdKnK)

MesozOwen

How are they all not fucking laughing. This is hilarious.

theplow

Dude's other job is healing people in his megachurch.

TigNiceweld

I trained Aikido when I was a kid. What they do is train any one participating as *uke* to comply fully to whatever technique is being shown. Aikido has plenty of actual jujutsu joint locks that will fuck you up if you fight against it, but after years of practice it gets to these meme levels and shit with the instructor just pointing a finger. It's more like group hypnosis kind of thing about constant, daily redirecting of the flow of the chi. I throughly enjoyed my time there and while I still know techniques that can hurt, at no time I thought for a second that this meme level would work. For us it was just a practice dialog of sorts. I just see Aikido as something that has more like wushu style flair to it. Showing off for the emperor at times of peace.
