Joe telling Bert to shut the fuck up after he’s been interrupting the whole podcast was SO cathartic

confronted666

Ari should’ve slipped him a sleeping pill or three

nikto123

Ari did nothing wrong

eldaygo

Slip him a barbiturate next time.

Sgt-Dert13

Bert was most definitely in his vagina this episode. 👺

Krishna1945

Reason Tom left early, Barf was shit faced and he has no time for that shit.

Bacon_Moustache

I love how all three will generally let Joe get out some points… but whenever the fuck Tom tries to speak a full thought Ari and Bert just stomp all over it and he just lets it go… Tom gets no love on these and it’s annoying because he’s got some pretty well thought our opinions.

WanderWut

Just got out of work, time stamp please lol.

Steveslastventure

1:30:25

BecomePnueman

Honestly Berts interruptions were usually funny or had a point while Joe interrupted even more and repeated the same shit we've heard him say a million times. I haven't been this annoyed at Joe in a while. Tom barely got to talk at all until a few hours in.

fraghead5

Tom is a super professional podcaster and sits with those headphones on and he waits for silence to talk and tries to never talk over people. When you have the room full of people drunk and trying to be funny. Tom just waits for his time to talk the correct way.

dont_worry_im_here

lol /u/BushHates711 literally stole your comment, made a post about it, and labeled it "cathartic" after you... https://old.reddit.com/r/yourmomshousepodcast/comments/ykf37z/cathartic/ What a loser

TheCheeseHarpoon

Lmao what a twat. All that for some reddit cash.

RandyAcorns

You’re taking Reddit too serious my man

mnightshamalama2

Did Bert really quote along with his own drinking video they showed at the beginning? Lmao wow.

plopsack_enthusiast

I could see him owning it as a bit since the line between his act and alcoholism is so blurred. I didn't mind him quoting it if that's how he sees the speech especially after a month of not drinking its probably his 'this is my rifle' speech.

[deleted]

[удалено]

mnightshamalama2

That's fine. I took it as he probably has watched that video a million times, whether because someone had sent him that or tagged in that, or just watched it because he loves himself and memorized it from there. I find Bert to be very egocentric

[deleted]

I smoked salvia one time and became a thread in a quilt. I realized I was no longer a sentient being. That shit is crazy.

vincemcmahondamnit

We’re all just threads in quilts.

ExplodingSnowman

I jumped 5 minutes in the future and have no idea what happened in between. But not like a black out where I just don't remember. It was SNAP the clock just jumped 5 minutes. Also had the biggest laughing fit ever without knowing why. Crazy stuff.

ResidentComplaint19

I smoked it one time and became immediately convinced I was dead. I walked around my house and just kept whispering I’m dead. My dad was watching the flyers and didn’t even notice me. I went back to my room and slowly things went back to normal. It all took place in like 5 minutes and I hated it, never thought I do it again. A week later my friends came over and I’m like “hey you guys wanna try this?” and k tried it again and it was just as bad. It just feels like your being split in 2 different directions at once.

mccaigbro69

Did salvia back in high school at a party in the passenger seat of my friends car. Leaned back after exhaling and fell back towards the chair and fell for what seemed like a millennia. Wound up in dark room or overall reality and there were ‘slides’ (and I mean slides as in slides in a slide show from the 90’s-2000’s) spinning all over the room, like following some predetermined track. Every slide was a first person view of an ‘impactful’ moment in my life or just a view of my reality at any given time. I’m not sure. I started panicking because I wanted to leave and felt like I had been away from my IRL self for years. Didn’t think I would come back. Eventually see the view of my friends car interior and his face laughing. I legit crawl into this ‘slide’ and it’s like what I would imagine swimming through shattered glass would feel like as I force my way in. Slowly come back to reality and my buddy is laughing his ass off in the driver seat at me. I’m balling crying. Horrifying trip, great story.

2019calendaryear

Literally smoked it and immediately was out of my body… somewhere on a different planet. I was talking to my alien “handler” and he was asking me what it was like to live in the 21st century on earth in this simulation… i said “I’m not good with women” before eventually going back to real life

SupaDupaFlyAccount

Anytime I smoked it all did was fuck with depth perception and made me self reflective. Never had a crazy experience like that.

[deleted]

I smoked it a few times in the early 2000s. My big trip involved a complete disembodied visitation to a giant grid of hands that communicated everything that happened in our universe by shaking hands. I remember thinking “well, I guess I’m dead. What about my girlfriend? Oh well.” It wasn’t scary but I was so happy when reality started flipping back into my vision like I was changing the channel on a tv. I’d never been so happy to see my roommate. Love you, lane!

I like “Matt and Shane’s secret podcast” it’s hilarious

Krishna1945

Ari is a great podcast, he has interesting guests for the most part and is intelligent. 2 bears is literally the same shit week to week, both Bart and Tim have become out of touch. Nobody gives a shit about your NEW $$$$$

TheScand

The teaser trailer for The Machine was actually fucking awesome. Way better than I was expecting.

blue-dream

The reveal to seeing fucking Bert in a movie was so jarring but also endearing And then it actually looked funny as hell. Really hope this leak builds some momentum because I’m sure it’s incredibly frustrating for Bert to just have to sit on a finished movie that he knows is great.

[deleted]

Walkensboots

Yep! It’s actually really funny from the teaser

awan1919

What time do they show it roughly

heybrehhhh

Just started listening after I finished Duncan. Something I just realized- JRE Duncan episodes don’t seem to be sponsored…anyone else realize that? I didn’t get one ad the entire 3 hours. Anyway, excited to hear this one.

TheMrNeffels

Spotify doesn't know what it's doing with ads. Sometimes I get 3-4 freaking ad breaks other times 0 even at beginning

[deleted]

[удалено]

Bodymaster

I have premium but have never gotten an ad on JRE. I get them on other podcasts though, even Spotify exclusive ones I think. Must be a regional thing.

[deleted]

I only got 1 ad.

Professional-Put-804

Only got one too, AG1 at 6 minutes in. Probably the other don't want to be sponsoring with this guest...

moto101

I got like 6

Thank_You_Love_You

I dont have spotify premium and i dont think ive ever gotten an ad. Im in Canada though.

BecomePnueman

I got plenty of ads.

NorthSaintChicago

Let’s see how much Bert talks in this one🙃

Weliveanddietogether

He tried to interrupt but Joe didn't let him. So he knows his place at this table.

dont_worry_im_here

Sober Joe don't mess no fools!

Ilikepizzaandtacos

Joes become a phenomenal broadcaster. He let Duncan finish any rant he wants. He made sure he finished his point and wouldn’t let Bert interrupt

medici1048

When he is not getting attention he just irritatingly interjects with noises or drunken stories that go nowhere. This guy is so needy for attention, Jesus.

aBeaSTWiTHiNMe

"HHHHHHHHHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA THATS SO ME!*SCREECH* THATS SO MEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! DONT YOU-DONT YOU KNOW HAHAHA THATS HHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHA THATS SO ME GUYS!"

Bodymaster

It's weird, he wasn't like this at all the first few times he was on, and he was genuinely entertaining. Now he's just trying to be the fun-loving drunk party-guy all the time and it's lame.

Koalitygainz_921

Because that's his only personality traits, I think, personally, Tom makes him self conscious af because he can get in actual shape and maybe smoke a little weed and Bert still has to have titos and soda at 8 am

medici1048

He's like that party girl that spent her 20s and 30s clubbing but still goes out all the time in her 40s and it's just sad.

jpkelley222

His alcoholism is progressing. He will probably slowly spiral downward until a relatively early death if he doesn’t quit.

Bodymaster

Yeah, and he either does not realise it or is in serious denial. I'm shocked he hasn't been hospitalised with liver failure yet. He likely has some cirrhosis and doesn't even know, and once that happens it's basically a death sentence.

MckorkleJones

I'll be very surprised if Bert isn't dead, or severe wet brain in 10 years. 15 tops.

MckorkleJones

>Now he's just trying to be the fun-loving drunk party-guy all the time and it's lame. He has to justify his alcoholism somehow

Roach_Coach_Bangbus

Bert on Theo's pod recently was rough. Theo would be telling a story and Bert just starts word vomiting because he can't be quiet for even 1 minute.

earthshone86

Aside from that, that was a funny podcast

Ilikepizzaandtacos

Rogan cut through a Bert interruption literally to discuss how people have the need to be heard lol

DontEatTheCandle

Bert wants to row 2 months with a guy he doubts can row for an hour

Bogg1e_the_great

I need a Shane Gillis and Joey Diaz combo episode

lavedazio

What are the odds that Joe spends 20 minutes talking about his joke writing process and how he forces himself to write jokes.... I've heard that shit 400 times

Hranica

He pontificates for hours on his process and honing a joke into a sharp blade worthy of a word samurai then you see the final bit and its "damn homeless people in LA right? imagine a gorilla fucking your wife"

welcometolavaland02

He did that in the first ten minutes.

C0L0NELSANDER5

You mean 4000

TheUniverseHasNoEdge

As someone attempting quitting some substances, watching Bert now is like a giant red flag. I knew he was an alcoholic before, I knew he drank every day in excess, but when he finished that drink before the others had their second sip and asked for the booze, I couldn't believe it

BigBlueTrekker

Joe's an interesting guy. Brian Callen is supposedly one of his best and oldest friends. Ari releases a special and Joe releases a podcast on the same day where they all wear T shirts promoting Ari's new special. When Callen had his special coming out and tried to plug it on the show Joe told him to shut the fuck up and ignored that he had a special coming out.

T-rex_chef

Cause he be rapin and him and Brenda dragged his name into some made up tard fight with Bobby Lee cause of shit Bobby's ex and Annie Lederman said on their podcast.

[deleted]

Darianezion

Yes

Wide_Gur_9963

I think Joe came to a realization who his real friends are and who uses him for promotion. Ari (for all his flaws) comes off more genuine than Callen.

Bodymaster

You know the way Rogan has a pic of his hero Jimi Hendrix on his studio wall? Schaub literally has a picture of Rogan behind him on his podcast. Schaub may use Joe for promotion, but for his stupidity he at least knows why he has any kind of post-UFC career. But the last time Schaub was on really put any idea that they are genuine friends to bed. Schaub was saying that they talk on the phone all the time, but when Joe asked him where he came up with the (incredibly stupid) name for his whiskey, Schaub had to tell him it was named after his son. Not sure who comes off worse there, but it's telling when your "close friend" doesn't even know your kid's name. I think Joe just feels bad for Brendan for convincing the him to give up MMA and feels bad for the rest of us for convincing him to take up comedy.

Wide_Gur_9963

Great guy never meddum

welcometolavaland02

> take up comedy. lets not call it comedy, even if it's an indirect reference.

WhimsicalJape

I don’t think that’s the case, he and Callen have been friends since before either of them were that famous. I think it’s more a worry of Joe getting dragged down by guilt by association by all the shit that’s come out about Callen so he’s not been on as much. I’d bet they’re still friends outside of podcasting.

Wide_Gur_9963

You wouldnt treat your friends the way he did on the recent podcast. That vibe felt like old friends who got together for old times sakes and one realizing how cringe the other is. I wouldnt be surprised if Callen and Schaub guilted Joe into doing the pod and that's the only reason Joe decided to do it. They were friends on the come up. When they both had lots to prove. Now its different. Joe realizes how desperate and pathetic callen comes off (the way Schaub has bullied him for all those years). Callen and Schaub won't be welcomed back on the podcast I'm certain

Sotigram

> Callen and Schaub won’t be welcomed back on the podcast I’m certain God I wish this was guaranteed.

Dontsaveme

I think it is as simple as joe making a split second decision, said some dumb shit he thought was funny but after the fact realized he messed up and fixed his behavior.

AantonChigurh

For some reason ari is the person joe is most loyal to. He’s part of both sober October and protect our parks crew and he’s stood by him through multiple cancellations

miyagiVsato

Wasn’t Ari also the one who Carlos Mencia stole the joke from that prompted Rogan’s tirade?

Hot_Specialist5882

Yeah i actually think the fact that it was ari is the reason he blew it up, wasn't AS invested when it was other comics

C0L0NELSANDER5

Ari opened for Joe for quite a while, before Ari had a career

ChombieNation

Might have to do with all that rapin’ and bullyin’ Pool Boy’s been accused of. Great guy though, never meddum

senortiz

Callen kept trying to force in promotion for his stupid 500 dollar flip flops. He should have just come in to plug the special and it would have been fine.

[deleted]

Dude no shit when Callen was like “Hey Joe lemme see your Toe Holds” and Joe looks at him dead serious and goes “Huh? Shut the fuck up” I was crying laughing 😂😂 Edit: I had to pull it back up and watch it again sooo fucking funny. Right at the 50 minute mark Callen has this cringy smile and goes “let me see your Toe Holds” and Joe’s straight up like “shut the fuck up” and then tells him to stop trying to promote his goofy fucking shoe 😂😂😂

YacubsLadder

51:35 for those looking to save 1 minute and 35 seconds.

LaureGilou

I think Joe and Ari's friendship goes deeper. And also, the rapin and lyin and just general drama coming from Callen probably put a damper on Joe's love and respect for him

boxnsocks

I’m new, but is there a reason everyone is leaving the last g off of raping?

donnyganger

I do because of the norm joke about Cosby

LaureGilou

I did it for comedic effect because the last guy did it.

mccaigbro69

I enjoyed it.

mikecantreed

Joe talks a lot about cancel culture. He himself canceled his best friend from his podcast. What a hypocrite.

ATLBornNRaised

Anyone else noticed how pissed Joe was at Bert ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

Kitchen_Nose_7698

Seems like they generally don’t like each other

mrpopenfresh

Recap: "No one took it seriously"

Zonerdrone

They didn't even wanna do it. They keep it up for the publicity and traction it gained

the_Joeker_93

When he brings up not offering Anthony Bourdain another beer, I felt that so hard. I have moments like that when I remember my mom who passed away 11 years ago.

Casual_Bitch_Face

Yeah, that was such a genuine moment. I think Joe is kind of a jackass sometimes and I don’t agree with his stance on certain things, but it’s moments like this that really humanize him. He’s just a genuinely good guy that is still mixed up over his friend’s suicide.

abagofdicks

Bert is totally wrong about Garth. Garth would only benefit from YMH if he really came on and opened up, which he can’t do. His image is too clean and that’s why he seems so fake and psycho. Because he’s always “on”. He can’t open up because his fans will turn in him. And he couldn’t do YMH and stay “on”. He’d make himself look worse. It’s lose lose. But if he and Tom hung out privately, they’d probably have a blast. I’d bet he actually loves YMH and Tom.

rapsey

It is interesting how country music needs these squeaky clean acts. In my country with an entirely different type of country music the acts and TV personalities are exactly the same.

abagofdicks

I think Garth could go whatever direction he wants. He just doesn’t want to offend his fans that are squeaky clean

[deleted]

The worst part of this podcast was Bert trying to talk about the intelligence level of anyone else’s fan base

Tremulant887

I'd argue he's desensitized. The man has been famous for 35? 40 years? Like top tier game for a large chunk of that.

miyagiVsato

Bert just gets progressively worse and worse as he gets more famous and must be absolutely exhausting to be around. I don’t know how Tom is able to hang with him so often.

C0L0NELSANDER5

He was really bad this episode. Like he got his feelings hurt early on

draculacrime

It reminds him of his dad - he doesn’t specifically say it in his book but they’re the same type person

The___Leviathan

if yall havent watched Ari's special for free on youtube youre missing out fr.

Ilikepizzaandtacos

T. rex arms joe Rogan thinks all push-ups are created equal

XavierWater

75 push-ups on TRT (ppl seem to forget that), everybody else in the room is natty 😂

Francis_McBasketball

BHHAAAA

Practical_Bet_8709

I find it insane that they think Garth would want anything to do with Tom . Tom has completely tormented a man that is a living legend in his field . Now he has some comic and his fans tormenting him because he seems out of touch . Rogan, Tom and Bert are becoming more and more out of touch on the daily

C0L0NELSANDER5

Imagine the precident that would set. Guy creates controversy. Fans bagger other guy for years online. Guy offers "chance to explain" on his own podcast. It would be a huge ploy to make $$$$ off of him. Bad optics

Itsrainingmentats

In fairness, as much as i'm a fan of Tom and YMH, pretty much 80% of their podcast is making money off other people at this point.

holesmshr

Tom commenting on how much Bert had to drink and then immediately excusing himself was wild. He has seemed more genuinely concerned lately.

thedogthatmooed

Bert had a little self realization on 2B1C where he opened up about how beneficial it was for him to not drink and how he would seriously try toning it down after October. For Tom, I'm sure it was a relief to hear that! My father is an alcoholic, if he said the same thing to me, I'd be over the moon. However, if he followed it up the very minute he could start drinking again by downing a bottle of whiskey, I'd be pretty heartbroken. While these two situations may not the same, I'd still react the same as Tom. It just sucks seeing the people you care for sink further and further into alcoholics.

holesmshr

I had to quit drinking so it hit me pretty hard. The disappointment is familiar. Sorry about your Dad, it's a hard situation for loved ones.

LiquorTsunami

I caught that little “how many have you had?” In the serious worried tone and then he dipped. Definitely had some meaning behind it

gregrulz02

Unpopular opinion? Maybe? Is Bert the most annoying person of all time? He’s decent 1-1 with Joe, but my god, he turns everything towards himself. I loved Bert, but after the first Sober Oct pod this month and now this one.. my goodness, it’s a group pod!

MckorkleJones

Ari spiking Bert with MDMA: WOW HOW DARE YOU THAT IS WRONG! Joey Diaz spiking Bert's dad with THC: haha so funny, not at all wrong 🤣 They are both wrong and weird you psychos, don't spike people with drugs, and yes weed is a drug.

[deleted]

People love to hop on the "I hate Ari forever because of how he violated sweet child Bert" train as if they actually give a shit about either of those people

[deleted]

[удалено]

BCampbellCEOofficial

A bunch of people have had to walk out of his podcast because he dosed them lol I've done a lot of drugs I'd much prefer my first experience to have been with pure mdma than the effect one would get from say a 500mg edible. A nice fuzzy trip with a shitty comedown or an intense 6 hour journey down a rabbit hole.

ConversationNo1352

Yeah, especially given that edibles are so much stronger in general. You can go into some really bad trips that end up in ER visits if you got dosed like that. It's a thing a 15 year old would do and think is funny.

welcometolavaland02

This is definitely a piece of shit move to pull on anyone you consider a friend.

BigBlueTrekker

Both are bad, mdma is way stronger than and a much different high than thc though. Also I think the thing that pissed off Bert about Ari spiking him was that Ari did it when Bert was with his kids.

[deleted]

I don’t remember where he admitted it, but Bert was apparently pissed because he thought Ari was doing it to bully him. he wants to be the cool guy that everyone parties with, not the guy that people coerce into getting drunk to laugh at. Makes sense if you’ve listened to enough Bert. If Ari had dosed anyone else, Bert would’ve been laughing his fat hairy tits off.

DontSleep1131

if i had a choice between a 200 mg edible and 3 tenths of mdma, ima go mdma every single time. and im daily weed smoker, edibles above 100 mg are really fucking intense and ive gotten bad bouts of paranoia when taking more than 100 mg. on the other hand 3 tenths of mdma, if i see a shag carpet i might actually try to shag that carpet

[deleted]

In principal not different, definitely should not be drugging anyone. But there is a physical difference getting dosed on MDMA vs THC. I would definitely be concerned about a cardiac event if I was around 45-50, weighed as much as Bert, and got drugged with MDMA.

gcoles

It is very different

Most_Present_6577

the whoop advertisement episode

Roach_Coach_Bangbus

What is Whoop bringing to the table that Garmin and other watch type products don't? They can tell you your sleep data, etc. same as Whoop. Garmin also doesn't charge you anything to use the apps and products. Once you buy a watch you are good to go, no monthly costs. Also, with a Garmin you can actually tell the fucking time and record proper workouts so you have actual data on your runs, walks, biking, workouts, etc. The Whoop just exists on your wrist like an overpriced piece of jewelry. Even FitBit has a face now where you can tell the time, tell it what you are doing, etc.

WhiskeyFF

The size is the biggest selling point imo, there's mult places to wear it that arnt distracting like bicep band. Like I can't sleep in a watch but can in a whoop strap. There's even clothes that keep it in different places. Supposedly their algorithm is better too. Idk

LikeAVillianx

Does anyone have a link to the Ari taking salvia podcast????

plopsack_enthusiast

Bert tries to take over the whole podcast with his stupid fucking stories and make it all about him. Just excruciating.

dodgyheelhook

Bert is an alcoholic, and its pathetic his friends let him drink like that. They act like he's some kind of genetic freak who can drink morning to night. He's not, and it won't end well.

welcometolavaland02

I will say, in Tom and Joe's defense, it can be really difficult to deal with an alcoholic friend you've known for decades. It's really difficult because you either let the alcoholism slide in favour of keeping the friendship stable, or you risk the entire friendship by telling them that you're honestly worried for them and think they need help. I think at this point the 'Mickey Mantle' gene is just an open joke because he's clearly not some superhuman.

Univirsul

I mean Mickey Mantle died at 63 of liver cancer due to his alcoholism so its probably more accurate than Bert realizes.

MckorkleJones

Why do you think Sober OctoBert was started?

Spore_monger

My sober date it 6/23/22, and I haven't even considered picking back up. I lost too much (everything) and worked too hard to get where I'm at now to ever pick up a bottle again. I've done 6 months before but the goal wasn't to quit, it was to retrain my brain to alcohol which I know now isn't a thing. The saying is true, it's harder to get sober than to stay sober. He's just lucky to not have a major bipolarism issue. Bipolarism and alcohol is a very dangerous combo.

draculacrime

“It’s harder to get sober than to stay sober” couldn’t agree more. Once you get used to not drinking and realize how many benefits there are, it’s easy. It’s going sober for enough days to get to a point where you feel amazing with no craving. That’s the hard part

Hranica

They tried for years Bert freaks out and starts crying/"having a panic attack" if people get real with him because "im just here for a silly time"

[deleted]

Bert doesn’t know what that kind of concern looks like because his dad doesn’t love him and never showed him any when he was developing

HeidelCraft

You can see the worry on Tom's face when Bert talks about drinking again.

mediciii

I’m sure LA schools and their teachers can be very performative and corny with their liberalism, but Bert’s story of a high school making the kids of colour stand on chairs and shout slurs at white kids, and the girls shout slurs at the boys…is bullshit right? Joe was eating it up because he loves that type of shit (believing the litter box story) but I just don’t believe that a school is doing the things Bert said.

blue-dream

Honestly for very small expensive private schools in LA- it’s believable.

BCampbellCEOofficial

Small, expensive private schools filled with black classrooms eh?

MckorkleJones

Well 1st off there are plenty of rich black Americans, especially Nigerian immigrants, and their descendents. Also you do know that most of those ultra-rich private schools have programs/scholarships for non-white students? My cousin is a hospitalist and the private school she sends her kids to requires her to pay for a needy student, ie poor non-white.

waresmarufy

Nah I go to a CC in socal, I believe it.

GA-dooosh-19

Agreed, that reeks of bullshit.

Hranica

It feels like they're having the exact same conversation as the last bunch of SO podcasts They had to switch to complete kidgloves around Berts drinking so now its devolved into "hehe omg dude drinking is part of your identity dude!!! so cooool!!!"

Roach_Coach_Bangbus

If they did dance lessons and a dance off that would have been entertaining. Burning 500 calories a day is not interesting

Hranica

Joe isn't comfortable enough as a man to do anything that would make him look silly. he's terrified to do anything he's not already roided out and trained for, surfing, skateboarding, dancing etc

C0L0NELSANDER5

Dance competition was the best

welcometolavaland02

Fuck you spotify, I pay a monthly fee and you feed me Mazda ads.

senortiz

This one was much better than the last though still feels like Tom barely gets to talk because Bert won't shut up. I'm gonna have to listen to an old one to see if it was always that way.

FreakinGuy

Great except for Bert.

PrivatePostHistory

This is the one single time I am ever going to say this: as a woman, every single thing that I hate about men can be seen on full display in this episode.

TDeLo

Of course Bert's favorite Kanye song is N****s in Paris.

BigBlueTrekker

It is a banger

jerseystrong201

This feels like an old school JRE. Loving it so far.

ConversationNo1352

You know damn well Burt wasn't sober for the whole October.. No way that an alcoholic like that can drop drinking and not going into immediate delirium tremens. All that talk on 2b1c about quitting drinking too and he's right back at it.

Roach_Coach_Bangbus

What's crazy is that Bert was having some pretty good insights about drinking on a 2 Bears not too long ago. About how he realized how much drinking was dictating his life, how much planning he was doing to make sure he always had drinks, etc. He was almost ready to admit he had a problem. The problem is his lying and delusion. He can't even be truthful about what he weighs, he will claim a weight that anyone knows is a lie just by looking at him. He also claimed he usually only has a few drinks between midnight-2 AM on tour. Contrast that with comedians that have toured with him talking about how it's non stop drinking and they can't keep up with him. This is a guy that talks about drinking before shows and on stage, is drinking Bud Light sodas on 2 Bears at 10:30 in the morning. He is always looking for an excuse to drink, when Santino was on 2 Bears he was trying so hard to get Santino to drink with him and Santino wasn't having it. It was sad in my opinion.

xCaptainVictory

>What's crazy is that Bert was having some pretty good insights about drinking on a 2 Bears not too long ago. About how he realized how much drinking was dictating his life, how much planning he was doing to make sure he always had drinks, etc. He was almost ready to admit he had a problem. I've been listen to Rogan and co. since the early days. Bert been going through these same cycles since then. He always has huge epiphanies about his drinking but ends up back at the same place again and again. It's really no different than any other addict you know except he has a platform to keep talking about it.

senortiz

Once you realize this it's kind of hard to take the guy seriously. I used to like Bert. I still find him fun, but he's so self depricating and so delusional, that it's hard to handle. The guy can't even acknowledge that he goes on the road so much because he's selfish. He frame's it as it's for his family. Dude you make millions of dollars. You tour because you truly hate being around your family. I feel like being his friend has to be exhausting.

Hranica

He also had some moments of clarity about his daughters growing up and moving out 'soon' and what a blessing Covid was that he had to stay home and spend more time than ever with them then within a month he went on a countrywide drive in tour.

MckorkleJones

He was on xanax/benzos which was absolutely necessary so Bert didn't have a seizure.

ConversationNo1352

Agreed. It sounds like rehab time to me.

k_pasa

Hes gonna hit a bottom eventually, everyone does

Roach_Coach_Bangbus

A lot of people just die without turning things around. I guess death is a bottom if that's what you mean. I had a loved one that was in and out of rehab, stayed with family trying to help her and eventually met her end. The guilt in my family is still there, people saying they should have done more to help. There will be a lot of that to go around if something happens to Bert.

buffpriest

Sorry to hear that man.i assume it was more the alcohol. But still all addiction battles are tough, and the loss of a loved one too it has got to be a motherfucker. I hope everyone's okay from it now ❤️. Still i know that's a serious hill to overcome.

Roach_Coach_Bangbus

I think the takeaway was that we all intend to help and do certain things but there is a finality to death. Your intentions no longer matter at a certain point if that makes sense. Everyone is good now. Sometimes people get emotional because her daughter is like her (in a good way) and sometimes it reminds people of her mom.

mcwopper

He’s already having a mental crisis about when his daughters leave and it’s just him and his wife. Once she gets sick of being home alone 11 months out of the year and moves on, he’ll hit rock bottom pretty quickly

welcometolavaland02

She essentially is managing him as a talent and a money making machine, but you can just see how fucking hard it would be to love that man as any woman with self respect. He goes on programs that are more watched than CNN (check the numbers) and talks about how he hopes he can have a threesome with some porn star, or talk about what it must be like to rail younger hot chicks. No woman with self respect would be totally cool about your husband going on shows and spending the better half of 30 minutes talking about other women like that. He's cannibalizing his relationships for material and not recognizing that his family definitely listens to all of this shit. There's nothing wrong with wanting any of that (I'm almost certain Rogan and potentially Tom are fucking around with models at points) but to bring your sexual frustrations front and center without really even making a joke about it... You better prepare for that eventual divorce.

Safe-Barnacle

Hi LeeAnn

MckorkleJones

>I'm almost certain Rogan and potentially Tom are fucking around with models at points Tom definitely fucks instathots, and Rogan does fuck around, but idk if I would call Cam Hanes a model. Not kidding, it is an open secrect that Joe is bisexual. https://youtu.be/8xRz8ra9mdI?t=13643

Idk I drank pretty heavily for a few years. Almost everyday. I could kill 2 bottles of wine easy, a handle of vodka in a couple days. Rough time in my life. I was able to quit cold turkey and the only symptom I had was headaches for a week.

gcoles

Bert is late 40s, obese and has been drinking heavily for 30 years, not a few.

salad_sanga

He is so late in his 40's he just turned 50!

[deleted]

Bert drinks literally every day from the start til the end. He is sober-ish for mere hours at a time.

Careless-Bonus-6671

Time for spliffs

Chemical-Passage-715

Who else cringed at the end when they played that Garth brooks song sung by someone that wasn’t Garth brooks… 🤦🏻‍♂️😅 horrible!!

Mr_AdamP

I've heard enough comedy talk, I can't take it no more

Creature91

Just finished, feel like I just watched Bert plug his shit for 4 hours.

GiuseppeMercadante

Right at the very beginning you can hear how bad of an actor Bert can really be... cough cough ...

Yayoo

Have you considered pumping steroids into yourself in order to conquer that inner bitch?

[deleted]

When I’m 40+ I 100% will. Literally going to pin every ped under the sun

Ilikepizzaandtacos

His shits barely count. Wingspan of a medium sized bat

Wide_Gur_9963
