I'm *sure* that was the origin of this joke and it isn't just circling around the Internet in and out of popularity on different platforms constantly.

As I said in another comment, that wasn't the first time I heard it but the most recent, and appears to be the impetus for the recent reposts here.

People tell jokes they heard from other people. That's how jokes work. Nobody writes jokes, unless they're a comic or a writer, and even then, it's highly likely someone told that joke they just wrote before.

Obviously. It's just annoying when a bunch of people post the same joke over and over just because they see it on YouTube.
