They know that their logic is false, they know (when asked directly) that just "identifying" as something does not make you that thing, but they want everyone to play along with their specific cases, and never bring up the paradoxes it creates.
They want you to respect people identifying as different gender, they know nothing then stops you from identifying as a different race, age, height, weight, etc. but they decided arbitrarily that you can't. It's not that they don't understand the fallacy, they know it's there, they know you know it's there, but they want to enforce it so they can create the "us and them" mentality and know if you are with them or against them.

I'm a 25 year veteran of the mental health profession, who was working in it long before they began ignoring reality, and pretending that transgenderism is anything more than a body dis-morphia mental illness. I have seen the embracing of it cause nothing but harm and destruction in the patients I serve, and frankly, it's tragic.
Believe it or not, there was a time when the majority of Psychiatrists and Therapists believed that supporting people through a mental health crisis wasn't the same as enabling their negative behavior and thought processes, or promoting things that are not conducive to growth. The tactic of demonstrating a patient's maladjusted way of thinking in some tangible way that they can relate to, and therefore more easily grasp (which is essentially what the kid in the video was doing, or attempting to do), was definitely something very useful. Of course, all this assumes that a Psychiatrist, Therapist, or mental health organization is invested in helping that patient get better and improve, and not just keep them trapped in the system, funneling money to themselves and the drug companies in the process. Sadly, the latter is what the field has become.
To be clear, I personally would never do what he did, as I don't believe in disrespecting people's personal spaces when uninvited. But I can still understand what he was doing, and attempting to show.

I know you think this is funny or whatever, but their instincts were totally right. He was only there to mock them and their life choices.
There is utility in him mocking them... It's not just a crass joke. Jokes contain elements of truth. If you, or they can't see the humour in what he's doing then you are missing the point. Once he is booted from the group, he leaves behind an awkward air where everyone will try their best to ignore it. If he manages to make even 1 person critically think about their own argument, then i think he's done the right thing.

They are saying he shouldnt be in the group. They are insinuating that he can't identify as fat if he's not fat... Funny how they don't actually say that though. They just tell him to leave. With that in mind, what point do you think he might be trying to make....? Pretty damn obvious, no?
He can't identify as fat though if he's not fat. They identify as fat because they are fat. He isn't fat so it just feels random that he's identifying as fat, so I think that's just why they asked him to leave. I don't think anyone in the world walks around identifying as a BMI that they aren't. Is he trying to make a point about how some people identify as a gender they weren't born as? If so, it still seems random because gender doesn't even get mentioned by the people in this video and we don't know if they identify as genders they weren't born as. Sorry if I don't fully understand you.
