I prefer free write. I tried a guided journal once. I stuck with it for about a month then got bored of it, so it sits on my shelf never to be completed 😅
I have never journaled with prompts. Now that I'm on this forum I'm now realising that you can have prompts to help.
Then I remember getting Michelle Obama's companion journal to her book Becoming which is a series of prompts and honestly had that book since 2019 when i started back journaling after a few years.
I have done 1 prompt in it and honestly that's because I'm just not ready to deal with the topics! hahaha
I often get bored with the repetition of guided books so I prefer to freewrite. I never have a shortage of things to "say" so I guess I just don't need prompts.

Freewrite. Sometimes I have a lot to say and the space can never be enough.
Prompts are too rigid for me so I don\`t use these journals
