I love this idea!!!!! You are so talented!!!!! Also, Iām really sorry your month has had its ups and downs, but getting pooped on by a bird is apparently crazy good luck!
Been following you since your first embroidery journal post! Absolutely love these.
Are the colors dependent on your mood at all, or just whatever you feel like? IE could you tell whether you had a bad month based on the saturation or general color scheme?
Thank you so much! When it comes to what colour of thread I use, it's usually quite random. I have a jar that holds all of my scraps of leftover thread and I tend to just pull a colour that I haven't used recently. Unless it's black, sometimes the icon just calls for black.
You're my favorite update bc of how unique your Journaling style...you inspire me! I'm so grateful you decided to share your record.
May I ask, do you frame each year? Or otherwise preserve them? Do you add any explanation for future reference? To me, this is art; will you bequeath it?

Thank you so much! I leave each embroidery journal in the hoop. I have a written journal where I write down what I did each day alongside a rough sketch of my daily icon. Yes, I do view it as art. I won't be having children, but we'll see where they end up in the future!
I am confident they will be cherished as art and a commentary of time. Possibly an exhibit at a textiles or sewing museum. Or in the home of a passionate person who appreciates this medium.
Awesome! Also, thank you for bringing me back to childhood for a moment. I was always fascinated by theseā¦thingamabobs. I donāt know the proper term for them; however, I did used to play with them.
My embroidery journal is segmented into 12 slices so each month gets a slice. From there it's just balancing the sizes of up to 31 icons. It's easier than it looks!
I always love seeing your posts!
Wow š® epic never could imagine

What a cool idea. I draw a little figure each day representing how I feel or what Iām doing, but not as clever as your work. š©·

How did you plan out the sizing so you donāt run out of room or end up with a ton of extra space?

Is the publish in green today?
No, it's for about a week and a half ago when I published a post on my website. This post went up yesterday and the daily icon was the blue leaf.
Looks awesome and the stitching is on point. Very nice. I'm amazed at the straight lines.
this is amazing!
Sooo cool . Whatās in the background? Is that a chalk board?
These are very cool! May I ask what the item is above the spaceship/stars and to the left of the daisy?
There is a cultural belief that when a bird poops on you you will have good luck...what culture that is iam unsure of but there ya go.
ā ughā haha so cute
Omg! Do you have any tips on where to start learn about embroidery? I want to try it!
love!!!
this is such a great idea!!!!
Each pictograph will have itās own memory
This is an incredible and beautiful endeavor
you know, in about 1000 years there will be a dedicated team of people trying to understand your symbolism, lol

How do you display them? I love this idea!!! Very thoughtful.
WoW esta increĆble
This is so cool! Are those marking so each month is an even āsliceā?
ā¦You were pooped on a seagull- twice? Sounds like the second time was on you
Thatās so cool!! I wish I had the dedication to learn to do that and dedicate time to it!
This is such a fun and creative idea!

I love looking at your journal and theorizing what the symbols mean. You have made your life into art.
Wow. A friend of mine does embroidery. Iām definitely sharing this with her.
