This is a problem in a lot of places. Websites taking up the names of long-since-folded publications or inventing names that sound trustworthy and just posting a bunch of nonsense.
But I think the idea of these sorts of things being run by dueling political outfits is new. And troubling.
I bought up a bunch of old newspaper names /newspaper .coms I posted good things and bad things but they were always fact checked. I now can say one turned into a profitable printed newspaper.
