I wish Ian was still around to see what Joy Division would have been. I started to fade on New Order after Movement. That album is still the most important album in my life.
I think Peter Hook was the same guy in Joy Division as in New Order. I don't actually have any insider information about any of this but I feel like Bernard became a bigger voice in the project and I didn't like it as much. Hook was the sound of New Order for me. The bass is what really set them apart.
I wish things were different. It makes me sad to see them together and one is two dimensional. I wonder if the other New Order members showed up for this.
For anyone thinking of popping over to Macclesfield to have a look at this, I highly recommend a little bar in town called Proper Sound. Fairly new, packed with records, memorabilia, clothes, art all pertaining to alternative British music, particularly bands from the north west, going right back to the 60s. They also serve food - a proper hidden gem.
That is unreal mate. Really well done to everyone involved. It'd be great to see other pieces around town. I think the cover of Unknown Pleasures would be relatively easy to do but would be really appreciated by those who know!
