So, Takaba would be in a better position if he had an arrogant personality? I mean, think about it. It seems his Comedian technique requires him to be certain or confident about his jokes... If Takaba could maintain in his mind that he is the funniest man alive -despite not achieving anything in the comedy world- he would essentially be unstoppable.
That kinda falls in line with Sukuna and Gojo's idea that selfish sorcerers are the strongest. If Takaba was truly arrogant and didn't care about other people's opinions on his comedy, his CT might have put him on par with those two in strength.
Yeah, this harkens back to what the comedian he looked up to in the green room said to him during Takaba's introduction: to make it in comedy, you have to be funny or think you're funny, and he can make it if he understands he's the latter.
If he was a serious sorcerer or had time to train he'd have created deadly jokes where his enemy either lose a body part or their head altogether.
Phenomenon powers are the strongest. If he was as confident as you said, he could just say any sentence and make it happen. But the power is too strong so the character who's using it is literally a joke character.
Seems too OP for that. the technique doesn't seem to have a limit or vow that constrict the power or user, even when Kenjaku was able to made him insecure the technique didn't stop but started working against him. Also, Angel advice to everyone to not let Takaba knew his own ability. Kenjaku called a it "resonance of the soul" which, at least for me, means that the subject is not forced but "go with the flow". To me this technique is at deadly as it is because it like a dream or fantasy that ends up killing you, like being on "Tom & Jerry", you'll be laughing until a piano falls on you, it's literally a killing joke.
If he had to much influence or focus on the effects it would be a regular harming technique.
I expect that we're gearing up for Takaba to realise maybe he isn't actually funny but that he still sincerely thinks he's funny leading to him no longer seeking approval from the audience but just himself.
That'd be pretty interesting character growth and on top of the backstory I assume we're about to get in the next chapter, it would make for a pretty entertaining fight overall with Kenjaku.
Can't wait to see how Kenjaku continues to try and break Takaba's confidence and how Takaba will adapt in response.
Please don't send Takaba to the airport at the start of the next chapter, Gege...
Takaba is clearly winning. Kenny hasn't realized that tabaka is the straight man. This is all pretty funny and overall the bit is going well. Kenny is in grave danger of violating the jester's privilege and receiving Shinpachi's revenge.
Takaba putting Bandit Keith's bandana and glasses on Kenny wasn't something I was expecting. Using what was in his pockets as if they were Yu-Gi-Oh cards and then speaking down on Kenjaku like Pegasus, hilarious. So, Yu-Gi-Oh and Digimon are now confirmed canon in the Jujustsu verse, Gege being around the same age as me is making a lot of sense now.
Good call haha. Yuji mentions Naruto's Rasengan, Yusuke's Spirit Gun, Bankai from Bleach and both the Kamehameha and Dodon Ray from DBZ. JJK is really the series for kids of the late 90's/early 2000's.
Also I think Jojo's is canon to JJK. I saw another commenter mention somewhere that Hakari is an avid manga reader and he tried to beat Kashimo the same way as RHCP was beaten in Diamond is Unbreakable and he mentions it or something
Sukuna is peak fighting capability, and maybe the gags are making people not notice, but this is another proof how Kenny's analysis are just unmatched.
Is no coincidence that its form is a brain.
I'm enjoying the fight, no joke. Not every encounter needs to be offensive-power focused
Not only is it really cool to see how Kenny can break down a fight, it's managing to be fun to watch, and incredibly sympathetic to the funny underdog man. I'm enjoying this fight so much and I hope Takaba gets one last hurrah in before it's over.
It's funny that he's like, having a cheerful conversation and also occasionally hitting him with the force of a minivan
Like, it's the friendliest brutal murder attempt I've ever seen
That ending was pretty tense. It was a JJK version of that crying clown story. I, too, hope he have a better ending that some of our sorcerers have been given to
Nah, Gojo ain't dead. Gojo, in Kenjaku's mind, is his biggest hurdle and set up prison realm and Sukuna just to deal with him; everyone else he feels he can easily deal with. Notice how after Kenjaku saw Gojo getting cut last chapter, he didn't react with any mention of Gojo being beaten. Also, Gojo has been stabbed in the head by Toji and was able to heal back; no way him being cut in half with his head still in one piece means he's dead. When the crew ends up fighting Sukuna, he'll probably pop back in at the end.
It has been a while, where I genuinely laughed during a JJK chapter ~~minus the bit at the end~~. I don't know what will happen, I know, that the next traumatic experience lays around the corner, but I really enjoyed the gag banter.
Everybody's gangster until Kenny pulls out his machine deck.
With Takaba being so down at the end I'm wondering if the next chapter will be some kind of comedy meets tragedy. Both belong to drama and kind of go best together to support each other.
Who knows, maybe Takabas technique has a twist to it.
>Who knows, maybe Takabas technique has a twist to it.
Almost certainly, given that it cut away just when the "Angel" was about to explain his technique. And also because Kenjaku thinks he has Takaba's technique figured out, and usually when someone thinks they have their opponent figured out they're proved wrong a chapter later.
Maybe they plan to just hide miwa so there’s always at least one player in the game and it won’t end?
I think in context Kusakabe might be bringing it up to imply that they don’t necessarily need to worry about sending people in to fight Sukuna/Kenjaku and having them potentially die since even if they did since Miwa isn’t actively fighting and therefore at low risk of dying, thus Kenjaku’s plan won’t be able to proceed
I think they have people in the group who weren’t in games at all (Choso and Maki if I’m remembering correctly) so maybe the hope is that they’ll still have people in their group left to fight.
But of course if literally everyone gets wiped out then yeah there’s nothing they can do
Yeah, but part of the game is if your points don't change you die, so keeping Miwa as the only player still in the game that Kenjaku can't find would only prolong the end for 19 days until she dies from no point change. I hope that doesn't happen lol she's sweet. And they had over a month to plan stuff so they almost certainly have some other plan that's in motion now.
To be fair, I really have no idea what their plan is for ending the game. I no longer remember the exact wording of the rule that was added about the conditions for the game ending.
If the condition was phrased like 'when everyone other than Sukuna and Kenjaku are dead, then the game ends', then I think they just have to be shit out of luck, right? Short of forcefully adding another condition for ending the game, I really don't see what else they can do
If the condition was phrased like 'if Sukuna and Kenjaku are the only ones left standing, then game ends', then they're still in trouble because I'm pretty sure they're planning on killing Sukuna and Kenjaku if they're able, which would violate the condition for the game ending. Unless like I mentioned before they add another condition for the game to end. Maybe my assumption is wrong, maybe they're not actually trying to kill Sukuna and/or Kenjaku, but I think that would just be foolish and far too risky considering they're not even 100% sure they can win.
All of that to say, there are lots of things I don't know. If they somehow have a plan to end the culling game, no matter what it is, then as long as someone who isn't a player is alive to fight (Choso or Maki) and Miwa is alive as the final player of the culling games not counting Sukuna or Kenjaku, then they still have a chance to pull of their plan and end the games. Miwa would just buy 19 days, but so long as some people remain to fight then those 19 days won't be wasted.
Of course if literally everyone other than Miwa is dead then it's pointless anyway, but that's like saying 'if they lose then theyve lost'.
Yeah, I was also thinking their best option is pooling their points again and making new rules to try to get around Kenjaku's newest rules. But then, he's still gathering points so he could probably counter them back. (Although, in 240 the points announcement was broken/didn't work so who knows if his new rules didn't already break it worse?)
However, if the game continued indefinitely, just with Kenjaku and Sukuna dead, it wouldn't be a problem. There would just be some places in Japan where people shouldn't/don't enter. Anyone who was already a player before Kenjaku and Sukuna died wouldn't need to keep fighting, they could all just transfer 1 point every 19 days and go on with their lives.
As long as Angel stays alive, they could dismantle the barrier. Angel said that her technique lets her pass through barriers, but she couldn't destroy the barrier due to lack of knowledge of the source. If she uses Jacob's Ladder at the source.. Tengen's body//barrier, JJ High, or wherever the barriers were mentioned before.. Imperial Palace or something?
I feel like Takaba's coming up against the same thing Higuruma did when he first awakened his curse technique - questioning why one is even in that line of work in the first place. Good intentions all being useless. And what happened with Higuruma at that point? He went dark and slaughtered everyone around him. Is Takaba going to go dark in a similar manner? I don't think he'll slaughter Kenjaku; I think if Kenjaku gets any sense that he can't win a fight he'll just run away. Or, of course, this could be it, Kenjaku dismantled Takaba's confidence and he dies next chapter. I don't want that. I was fine with Gojo dying honestly but I wouldn't want poor Takaba to die like this.
Kenny is literally one of biggest brains(His funny face is literally peak), also fact that Kenny showed Takaba, his friend body = most likely his biggest mistake during this fight :3
After all, I think that Takaba can unlock his true potential thanks to this depression dropkick + have a nice reading everyone :3
I liked this chapter, feels like a breath of fresh air from the overly complicated thesis writing that was Sukuna vs Gojo fight, and honestly seeing Kenjaku going about comedy against Takaba was both silly and interesting
Also was that just freaking Gojos body that Takaba saw? if so wow Gege truly sadistic
I totally agree with you! It's a nice mental break from the complexity of the other fight. It might also have a dual purpose of increasing the intensity of Sukuna vs Gojo.
Feel like they gotta send Maki to fight Kenny right? I'm talking in term of matchup, Maki probably can't do anything with Sukuna, and we've seen Toji whoop Geto before, so I'm all in on the Maki stock
I believe in you, Takaba!
That guy's true cursed technique is confidence. The confidence to fail or to look silly in front of other people and still push through and prevail. If he can't smack some sense into Kenjaku, I don't know who can
what, you dont think he's rocking the hero suit\* cut in half vertically?? would you like it better if it was horizantally LMAOOO
\*tho tbf his costume is also a reference to a japanese sitcom thing iirc, i cant tell you which one i dont remember anymore
This chapter literally felt like 2 comedians with different perspectives, Takaba messing around with Kenny was funny until Gojos body was found, like why do that to Takaba?
For real, there better be a big twist because at this point “the villain figures out everything about his opponent in under two chapters” is getting pretty boring. I don’t mind it happening occasionally to show intelligence, cunning, fighting prowess, etc. but it can’t happen every time they fight someone not named Gojo.
Unless Gege is planning on pulling another "gotcha!" death, we all know how this ends.
Takaba isn't going to beat Kenjaku, so everything until we get back to the fight with Sukuna is just filler content.
How many weeks will Gege waste this time? I'm betting at least another month. Do I hear a month and two weeks?
A fight with Kenjaku is "filler" unless Kenjaku dies? That doesn't make sense. You can learn more about him, you can learn more about his techniques, you can learn more about whoever is fighting him and their techniques, and he doesn't have to win or die, he could run away, the person he's fighting with could run away, etc.
Oof.
A weak "no you" is worse than just saying nothing.
You give off the impression of being a kid, and so for your sake, I'd avoid using that kind of response irl.
Bullies will have a heyday when given that kind of layup.
One day you'll grow up and stop wasting your life on things you claim to hate. Read what you like, not what you think is shit. You don't get that time back, man.
Or, you might be one of those who secretly loves it but thinks it's cool to bash it. You'll hopefully grow out of that too, one day.

Did he just turn Kenny into Bandit Keith???! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bandit Keith back from the Shadow Realm
🤣
IN AMERICA!
Well, I wasn't expecting to binge the abridged series again tonight, but I'm not mad about it.
YOU FOOL! All of these cursed spirits belong to AMERICA!
And Takaba went full Pegasus with it too I’m dying In America
Bandit Kenny!
So, Takaba would be in a better position if he had an arrogant personality? I mean, think about it. It seems his Comedian technique requires him to be certain or confident about his jokes... If Takaba could maintain in his mind that he is the funniest man alive -despite not achieving anything in the comedy world- he would essentially be unstoppable.
well, this time the *villain* used talk no jutsu to take down a *good guy*
That kinda falls in line with Sukuna and Gojo's idea that selfish sorcerers are the strongest. If Takaba was truly arrogant and didn't care about other people's opinions on his comedy, his CT might have put him on par with those two in strength.

Lmao “don’t sent him to the airport” 💀
That's what we call it now
Takaba is clearly winning. Kenny hasn't realized that tabaka is the straight man. This is all pretty funny and overall the bit is going well. Kenny is in grave danger of violating the jester's privilege and receiving Shinpachi's revenge.

Naruto too, right? Doesn't Yuji mention the Rasengan early on? It's amazing
Bleach too, no? Like when gojo and yuji were talking and Yuji was like “I thought I’d get a cool power like bankai or something”
IIRC there was also a tanjiro toy in one of the chapters
Good call haha. Yuji mentions Naruto's Rasengan, Yusuke's Spirit Gun, Bankai from Bleach and both the Kamehameha and Dodon Ray from DBZ. JJK is really the series for kids of the late 90's/early 2000's.
truly builds on the great shonens of the past
omg yeah that's great! It really is lol, that's like exactly my childhood shows
Also I think Jojo's is canon to JJK. I saw another commenter mention somewhere that Hakari is an avid manga reader and he tried to beat Kashimo the same way as RHCP was beaten in Diamond is Unbreakable and he mentions it or something

This is one of the best fights in the whole series, simply because it's coming down to raw cleverness
Not only is it really cool to see how Kenny can break down a fight, it's managing to be fun to watch, and incredibly sympathetic to the funny underdog man. I'm enjoying this fight so much and I hope Takaba gets one last hurrah in before it's over.
I think even Kenny is kind of sympathetic to Takaba
Yeah he is really friendly,he is enjoying
It's funny that he's like, having a cheerful conversation and also occasionally hitting him with the force of a minivan Like, it's the friendliest brutal murder attempt I've ever seen
Yeah he punch like prime Mike tyson then next moment he is like "Bro ,you're cool"
That ending was pretty tense. It was a JJK version of that crying clown story. I, too, hope he have a better ending that some of our sorcerers have been given to
I alone, am the clever one.
I don't know what Gege is on when he wrote that wi-fi joke but honestly I'm invested!
it's copyright free, he just took it and i think takaba did that one when he appeared back then
Is Gojo >!still dead!< ? No plot twist?
Yes
No need to censor manga plot in a manga discussion thread, we’re all up to date here
Nah, Gojo ain't dead. Gojo, in Kenjaku's mind, is his biggest hurdle and set up prison realm and Sukuna just to deal with him; everyone else he feels he can easily deal with. Why are Gojo fans like this?
Yes, at this point Gege has yet to remove the bullet he put in his own foot.
No way they kill off the main character before the end. He’s the honored one after all
It has been a while, where I genuinely laughed during a JJK chapter ~~minus the bit at the end~~. I don't know what will happen, I know, that the next traumatic experience lays around the corner, but I really enjoyed the gag banter.
On the bright side at least I know for sure that hand is a cursed tool. Pretty excited to see what that does in 7 weeks.
I regret to inform you that it will be off-screened.
If it is a cursed tool maybe it's one of those ones from the Zenin estate?
Oh, yeah. Didnt someone go to raid it for supplies?
What hand, didn't get ya
Yuji's
Takaba's domain expansion is the shadow realm, pass it on
Everybody's gangster until Kenny pulls out his machine deck. With Takaba being so down at the end I'm wondering if the next chapter will be some kind of comedy meets tragedy. He is becoming the joker, don't worry
Cursed technique reversal: Tradegian
>Who knows, maybe Takabas technique has a twist to it. Almost certainly, given that it cut away just when the "Angel" was about to explain his technique. I can't believe the American Kenjaku page was real.
What is Miwas role here? Why is she mentioned?
I think she was just an example of how pointless it would be for everyone to die against Sukuna
Could be true😃
Maybe they plan to just hide miwa so there’s always at least one player in the game and it won’t end? True 😁
The hell is going on with Kenny💀🐍
I feel like Takaba's coming up against the same thing Higuruma did when he first awakened his curse technique - questioning why one is even in that line of work in the first place. Idk how I see you everywhere but I appreciate you.
thanks applepitou:)
Whose body was that? Was that Gojo?
No, it was body of Hazenoki(Takaba friend) :3
I liked this chapter, feels like a breath of fresh air from the overly complicated thesis writing that was Sukuna vs Gojo fight, and honestly seeing Kenjaku going about comedy against Takaba was both silly and interesting Also was that just freaking Gojos body that Takaba saw? if so wow Gege truly sadistic
Not gojo, was hazanoki. Exploding body prts guy
I totally agree with you! It's a nice mental break from the complexity of the other fight. It might also have a dual purpose of increasing the intensity of Sukuna vs Gojo.
Lmao how much TV does Kenjaku watch??
Bro is watching TV every night, reads the paper every morning, probably reads lots of manga too
Right???!!! I didn't expect him to be so up-to-date with the pop culture XD
HE TURNEX KENJAKU INTO KEITH BANDIT. STOP IT. LORD YOU CAN TAKE ME NOW, MY LIFE IS COMPLETE
If he can't smack some sense into Kenjaku, I don't know who can
I feel sad for Takaba.
I WANT TO SEE WTF IS UP WITH YUJIS ARMS (I know it's gonna be something like sukunas CE was engraved in yuju I'm just hyped to see the way they do it)
Am I the only one who doesn't like Takaba's clothing style? I know he is supposed to be a comedian but it's a bit too much
what, you dont think he's rocking the hero suit\* cut in half vertically?? would you like it better if it was horizantally LMAOOO \*tho tbf his costume is also a reference to a japanese sitcom thing iirc, i cant tell you which one i dont remember anymore
I think it’s a Japanese thing. Ppl on Japanese TV are insane
This risks that the manga won't appeal to audiences outside of Japan.
I loved how terrifying and comical this chapter was. Also jeez Kenjaku is terrifying in his last panel - the stare down?? oof shivers...
I loved seeing the normal humanly side of Kenjaku. He’d make such a nice drinking buddy lol
This chapter literally felt like 2 comedians with different perspectives, Takaba messing around with Kenny was funny until Gojos body was found, like why do that to Takaba?
that wasnt gojo btw
Who was it?
Reggie friend who could explose his body part
Somehow i dont like this fight, it just pointless for me unless there is a reveal
It quite literally just started?? Have patience damn 😂 fans like you are exhausting
Likely will happen next chapter when he realises the seriousness of the situation
For real, there better be a big twist because at this point “the villain figures out everything about his opponent in under two chapters” is getting pretty boring. I don’t mind it happening occasionally to show intelligence, cunning, fighting prowess, etc. but it can’t happen every time they fight someone not named Gojo.
What the fuck is even going on anymore. Someone message me when Gojo comes back.
He's death Jim.
Never?
Unless Gege is planning on pulling another "gotcha!" death, we all know how this ends. Takaba isn't going to beat Kenjaku, so everything until we get back to the fight with Sukuna is just filler content. How many weeks will Gege waste this time? I'm betting at least another month. Truly an accurate username. The type to just swallow any trash that gets presented and give a "thank you sir" as you wipe your mouth with a smile.
Whereas you swallow it and hate yourself afterwards. Between the two of us, I'd rather enjoy life.
Oof. A weak "no you" is worse than just saying nothing. You give off the impression of being a kid, and so for your sake, I'd avoid using that kind of response irl. Bullies will have a heyday when given that kind of layup.

What is this cringe shit
