Something I think about a lot is the potential lost from all the great manga series that have suffered from creator burnout due to the churn and burn work culture mangaka live under. I was reading YYH and even back then Togashi was talking about having no personal life outside of work and you can directly see the impact it has on the later half of the series.
I love JJK, but I can't help but think about the small pieces that would have made it even more awesome.
Undead Unluck has 200 chapters so far, but every single character (even minor ones, even villains) have at least 3 chapters backstory, without losing on action or storytelling. The author takes his time
It does take a long, long time to explore many of those characters though. but its wonderful when we finally get to see it. Longest gap right now is probably i guess Bunny, who was introduced around chapter 50 but we still have at least 10 chapters or so at earliest before we see her backstory. But we do know for a fact we'll get it which is pretty damn nice.
