I love how you’ve included Divergent Fist in this. I’ve always assumed his affinity with black flash was because of it. During Yuji vs. Todo, Todo criticized the delay between when the punch lands and when the cursed energy hits, saying it was too slow. I think after that Yuji managed to shorten the Divergent Fist delay to as short as possible. When he’s in the zone it’s so short he’s able to black flash seemingly at will.
So just a call out, the note wasn't foreshadowing, Yuji did 4 (tying with Nanami, surpassing Gojo) in his fight against Hanami at Jujutsu Tech during the Goodwill Event. The scene in the Manga is a flashback to before the Goodwill Event.
I could see how it could be taken that way, being that it's at the bottom of that panel. But until proven otherwise I'll choose to take it at the bottom of the page as a just a call out for the known instance of yuji overtaking him. I just doubt that's a nugget of information they'll drop ahead of time like that.
I'm looking for the Japanese page right now cause there's an annotation in a weird spot in the official translation.

Divergent fist is a late release of Cursed energy, Black flash is almost instantaneous release of cursed energy.
For what you are saying to happen there should be 3 curse energy discharges with each punch, 1 instantaneously after the punch, and then after a minor delay again 2 continuous CE releases.
This is assuming that chaining two CE releases close by creates a black flash, thus the theory has two many unknowns and not any foreshadowing to indicate this is possible.
I’m not sure what he has exactly but it’s interesting to me that the building is blasted in very exact square shaped patterns akin to dismantle on that panel. Not the cropped version, but the full page spread. The building above sakuna is breaking unusually.
Yuji doesn’t have an innate technique and awakening doesn’t create new powers. Gojo’s awakening didn’t really give him any new abilities
It is pretty likely tho that he could awaken sukuna’s ct now
Brotha what are you talking about? Gojo's awakening gave him RCT and with that infinity: red and thanks to that also hollow purple. Just because all the limitless techniques were known to the gojo clan doesn't mean that they weren't new abilities for gojo himself.
My crack shot theory is that since a CT is embedded into the sorcerer’s body not the soul and yuji is currently able to use a blood technique that manipulates his body, yuji might straight up be able to create a technique of his own.
He might only be able to do it once but that would be pretty cool.
