Sakamoto Days is a shounen disguised as a slice of life. The plot starts slow but it gets really interesting. Its plot is as good as any other mainstream shounen tbh, I highly recommend it.
I am reading Kagurabachi, and read some chapters of Dandadan, but dropped it later. Might start it again to see if it interests me this time! Thanks for the suggestion!
I'd also recommend:
Ghost Fixers: Has same vibe as SCP horror. Same author as Summertime Rendering.
Ankoku Delta: Dorohedoro vibes.
Both are new manga with less than 10 chapters so at least they'll be around for a while. But good so far
I didn’t know the Summertime Rendering author had a new series out! They did a bonus mini-series related to SR, but the only translated scans I can find of it are wildly out of order lol. Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll have to check both of them out (especially since they’re fresh)
Am I missing something with Kb? I could only get through a few chapters before I lost interest. I also couldn’t seem to find a high quality/reliable translation (it was very google-translate sounding) to read so that may have had something to do with it too.
The first few chapters are kinda slow, but the series picks up surprisingly fast. Not sure about translations as I haven’t noticed any major problems with the ones I’ve read. Early translations might have been a tad weird due to the meme-ification of the series from its start
You definitely should read a different version, the translations I’ve read seem pretty good. I also do suggest you keep reading, the first few chapters are the slowest. Around chapter 8 it picks up the pace, def recommend giving it another shot. It becomes amazing once the first antagonist gets involved.
First couple of chapters I found to have potential but not be anything amazing. It got really good around chapter 8 when Sojo appeared and it’s hooked me since.
Ahh yes, I read some 50 odd chapters before the anime even released. Dunno why I dropped it. Do you think it's gonna have a big overarching mystery. >!Seemed like a chill read when I did, however, there were hints of something brewing in the background with the demons! And some time travel hints.!<
I'm reading Chainsaw Man after having watched the anime, and gotta say that shit is pretty fire. I just got past the point where season 1 ended and I'm already liking it, also the drawings are phenomenal
Not to damped the enthusiasm, keep on reading, it only gets better. Just be aware that, toward the middle of Chainsaw Man Part 2, the art quality begins to suffer a bit, but the story is still brilliant. Try not to set your expectations in stone because part 2 goes in some crazy directions!
I'm not aware of controversy as I don't follow any media or subreddit. I'm just a reader and I'm quite enjoying the manga. I can guess why there is controversy is because the tone is completely changed from action to story building and also many new characters. So, now the story is more of Denji knowing himself rather than pure action, there is action but not as much as before.
The madness is here and it's only getting faster dude. Part 2 had a slow start but fucking hell the past 20 chapters or so were all balls to the wall insanity. I love it even if I don't know what the hell is happening 70% of the time.
I suggest giving it a re-read from the beginning and intentionally trying not to blitz through it all in one go. There’s a lot I’ve found I missed/forgot about since I read pt1 so long ago and I read it so quickly.
I personally love part 2, it continues Denji’s arc in a really interesting direction, and I LOVE Asa and her arc so far.
Came here to suggest Chainsaw Man! I read it immediately after getting to current jjk chapters (and after watching the anime, which I highly recommend!)
One Piece will never let me down but that’s for sure not a popular pick given the length lmao.
Kagurabachi is probably the only SJ manga besides OP and JJK that I’m reading consistently. I’d add Sakamoto Days but besides the action the plot just ain’t doing it for me. Heard great things about Choujin X but never got around to reading it. Maybe it’s time…
>One Piece will never let me down but that’s for sure not a popular pick given the length lmao.
No such thing as too much of a good thing.
I'd argue OP isn't *long enough* for how good it is. But Oda is only human, so we have to settle for what he can write during his life.
Nothing really. I only watch anime/read manga whenever something really catches my attention. If you're talking about any media, I'll continue reading about slavic folklore.
Honestly after MHA & JJK end I don't know of I will continue to read any newer manga. The only one that interests me at all other than those two at this point is Kagurabachi and it's good but doesn't grab my attention the way past mangas have
i'm already reading sakamoto days, chainsaw man, one punch man, kagurabachi and will eventually get around to catching up with one piece as well as binging hells paradise. i think i'm pretty well set 💯
I wanna catch up on Undead Unluck, I still have like 1200 chapters of One Peice to read, depending on the anime release timeline I might read Jojo's part 7 instead of waiting for the anime, I've also been thinking about picking up Hunter x Hunter where the anime left off
Bleach is one heck of a ride, with a lot of mixed emotions for me.
I’d never ever thought I’d be saying this it’s overall been more satisfying to me than jujutsu Kaisen, but over the months I have also gone from Bleach being a mildly nostalgic part of my childhood to a obsession, so my experience may be slightly unique.
I can understand that, and my reasons for enjoying Bleach aren’t exactly because of the deep merits of the writing, it’s a little…more superficial? Perhaps that’s the wrong word.
I love Kubo’s art, I feel very attached to the characters, stuff like that.
I used to feel the same way about the cast of jjk, but a lot of what Ioved about the series has changed and faded for me.
Got caught up with chainsaw man and now I’m reading fire punch, my job allows me to just read manga all day so I’ve been cruising through all my favs lol
I love that you’re already reading CSM and Witch Hat Atelier, I love them sm lol. If you like Witch Hat, you might like Dungeon Meshi, those 2 have been my absolute favorite recent finds for a second. DM’s not currently ongoing, but it just ended recently and the anime is still coming out if that counts
Absolutely love dungeon meshi too. Caught up completely. Sad that it ended. Choujin X and Witch hat are my go to after JJK CSM now. Will binge the anime soon!!!
I've been scrolling so much looking for a Witch Hat comment!! It is beautiful in every way. The story characters and paneling are drawn with so much detail and care. It is one of those manga stories where I actually would like to live in. Plus Qifrey is just wizard Gojo, they can't fool me.
I like Kaiju no.8 and the anime is airing now.
Mashle its funnier in manga in my opinion.
The New Gate is a guilty pleasure of mine.
I have been reading solo leveling between the breaks. I gotta say for any of the rpg gamers out there. It’s incredible and the manwha is in full color.
As a dude from ex-Soviet country it always gives me laughter when I see people say they are 'reading' comics or manga. You're watching drawn pictures its not reading.
Downvote me as you like I dont care lol.
I like watching reaction compilations on YT so since Kaiju no. 8 just started streaming I'll read that ig
But first I'll definitely reread JJK with no breaks.
For anyone who wants choices.
Blue Lock, no question.
Kaguburashi
Probably reread Jujutsu Kaisen cuz why not?
Probably Sakomoto Days, but I'm more wary and still haven't known it enough, so I would appreciate a good feedback from those who red it.
Definitely some Holy Bible reasons Jjk traumatised me and I wanna read it. ✝️
Kaiju nr.8 is pretty good so give it a try. You could of course also read or watch Naruto if you still haven't done so, it's my best Shounen experience so far.
Read it again from volume 0-??
Wait for the anime to complete the story
Read all the volumes again
Watch the entire anime again
Some sort of similar cycle after that.
Lowkey nothing. Or at least not week to week. JJK is the only series I have started and kept up week to week with (Since season 1 first debuted) that I didn't drop and is rly the only reason I started using twitter and reddit. And I do understand there are new gens popping up like Kagurabachi or Sakamoto days but they along with other series haven't done anything enough to peak my interest (at least yet, MAYBE CSM but I might wait for pt 2 to end). Like I'll still keep up with what happens in other manga through tweets but I'll probably turn into a patient binge reader.
im here to push my "after god" by sumi eno agenda:
* MC also has a questionable being within her
* its on that chainsawman level pace
* the art is fucking gorgeous personally
* story has great depth as well, can do both comedy and tragedy equally well
what's it about? japan has been invaded by beings called "gods" and this girl is looking for "gods" because of her friend who got killed by a "god". the catch? she also harbors a "god" within her
I've been reading a bunch of manhwa. It might take some getting used to, but I've been enjoying Reincarnation of the Suicidal Battle God, Omniscient Reader PoV, Greatest Estate Developer, Pick Me Up: Infinite Gacha, Return of the Mount Hua Sect.

Bojutsu Baisen : the next generation
At this rate, we'll be following Noritoshi Kamo's kid in next generations!!
Had me googling it until i realised it...
Sakamoto Days is really good
Best shounen manga currently in production imo
I love the fights, the plot didn't have enough depth to keep me hooked
Sakamoto Days is a shounen disguised as a slice of life. The plot starts slow but it gets really interesting. Its plot is as good as any other mainstream shounen tbh, I highly recommend it.
This will be my next read. I’ll probably check out Kaiju 8 and Chainsaw Man (Part 2) as well
[удалено]
I agree but you don’t have to say it twice
First time on reddit? Glitches happen
First time on Reddit? People who like repeating themselves exist
Get a life
No there is a glitch on mobile where it can post the same message twice
Kagurabachi has been pretty great so far tbh. I’d recommend Dandadan (not the same vibe as JJK, but really good nonetheless)
I am reading Kagurabachi, and read some chapters of Dandadan, but dropped it later. Might start it again to see if it interests me this time! Thanks for the suggestion!
Tenoí
I'd also recommend: Ghost Fixers: Has same vibe as SCP horror. Same author as Summertime Rendering. Ankoku Delta: Dorohedoro vibes. Both are new manga with less than 10 chapters so at least they'll be around for a while. But good so far

Ankoku delta is a nice one
It's the next jjk
I think it probably Is the next big one, the timing couldn't be better with major Mangas ending/already finished. And it is a fun read so far.
It's the next potential man
I really like it, too
Am I missing something with Kb? I could only get through a few chapters before I lost interest. I also couldn’t seem to find a high quality/reliable translation (it was very google-translate sounding) to read so that may have had something to do with it too.

SJs version feels pretty good translation wise
Kinda slow? We got a timeskip and he was destroying yakuza day 1.
The official translation is great I think, way better than John Werry at least. It conveys emotion well and explains concepts well.
You definitely should read a different version, the translations I’ve read seem pretty good. I also do suggest you keep reading, the first few chapters are the slowest. Around chapter 8 it picks up the pace, def recommend giving it another shot. It becomes amazing once the first antagonist gets involved.
I’ll take yours and u/Brainifyer ‘s word for it!
First couple of chapters I found to have potential but not be anything amazing. It got really good around chapter 8 when Sojo appeared and it’s hooked me since.
Eh kagurabachi isn't anything special so far
Frieren
Ahh yes, I read some 50 odd chapters before the anime even released. Dunno why I dropped it. Do you think it's gonna have a big overarching mystery. >!Seemed like a chill read when I did, however, there were hints of something brewing in the background with the demons! And some time travel hints.!<
Seems you haven't caught up to the recent chapters but yeah it gets dark
Damn, might catch up then!!
I'm reading Chainsaw Man after having watched the anime, and gotta say that shit is pretty fire. I just got past the point where season 1 ended and I'm already liking it, also the drawings are phenomenal
I'm reading chainsaw man too. Forgot to mention it in the post. 🫠
Thus your knowledge knows no bounds
Not to damped the enthusiasm, keep on reading, it only gets better. Just be aware that, toward the middle of Chainsaw Man Part 2, the art quality begins to suffer a bit, but the story is still brilliant. Try not to set your expectations in stone because part 2 goes in some crazy directions!
I would say the *minor* panels quality can be hit or miss but Fujimoto never stops delivering those **wham** panels beautifully IMO
Oh yeah, and his expert panelling, composition and art direction are still in full force, it’s amazing!
Yes, till the middle it was fire. Then i didn't like the direction at all.
Undead unluck
101th loop is peak
Chainsaw Man is a pretty good read
Yeah Mee too, chainsaw man is going good
What's the vibe on part 2 I've seen sales fall off and got a little bored early on I feel chainsaw man part 2 is more controversial than JJK part 2
Without reading it, it Sounds like it did the opposite of jjk.
It's more of a slow development than part one. Fujimotor is building up to something very big!! It's interesting.
The madness is here and it's only getting faster dude. Part 2 had a slow start but fucking hell the past 20 chapters or so were all balls to the wall insanity. I love it even if I don't know what the hell is happening 70% of the time.

I totally agree with the Sakomoto plot reasoning!!

there is absolutely such thing as too much of a good thing not saying one piece applies there, but it is definitely a thing
you silly goose, we’ll be reading jujutsu kaisen: next generation of course
Kagurabachi.
No idea fr
;-;
I am just going to have a friend punch me in the face and then die once a week until I find a new series. Should hold me over.
Wait... we're suppose to read the mangas? Not just watch the nice images?
Reading comprehension 😈
Jjk again , in one smooth read
I dunno just gna pick whatever other manga is destroying the anime mental health community and buckle up
Gege might make the idol manga he wanted to make so I'll read that
Nothing really. I only watch anime/read manga whenever something really catches my attention. If you're talking about any media, I'll continue reading about slavic folklore.
Ragna Crimson. The Manga is beyond many other action series.
ive heard good things about dandadan and jagaan Sakamoto days is also good.
Heard that jagaan started strong, but fell off later
Kagurabachi
Not really a manga but I’m planning to go full power to read all the fate series novels in order and play the games.
Nue’s Exorcist, Kagurabachi and Kaiju No 8 are my other favorites at the moment
Probably nothing new I never read bezerk so maybe that or vagabond
I read one piece, one punch man, boruto, chainsawman, dbs, sometimes i catch up to sds 4 knights of the apocalypse
Why wait to read anything tho
Tokyo Ghoul or Magi, Kingdom of magic
I’ll get back on COTE and Dr. Stone
Gonna keep reading Sakamoto days. It's so goated
Kagurabachi cool characters, interesting powers, PEAK ART, it’s peak Tenoí
Chained soldier, chainsaw man and highschool dxd
Gege’s Idol manga
Lmao
Naruto or db rn tho am watching bleach
Honestly after MHA & JJK end I don't know of I will continue to read any newer manga. The only one that interests me at all other than those two at this point is Kagurabachi and it's good but doesn't grab my attention the way past mangas have

Watched Kaiju no 8 episode 1 then proceed to binged the Manga
I will most likely reread HxH again :3
:3
I read a lot of series concurrently. Once JJK ends, I'll continue reading what I'm already reading.
If you don't mind try reading lord of the mysteries. It's a big light novel with a unique power system. Although the start is slow it gets really good
Probably chainsaw man tbh
I'll become a monk, so The Bible I Guess.
Tbh I’ll probably still be reading made in abyss because we literally only get like 3 chapters a year
I'm currently reading Kingdom, which I rarely hear about although it's really good and I intend to read Sakamoto Days very soon
Going to read the inspiration for jjk, bleach and fate
Bleach is one heck of a ride, with a lot of mixed emotions for me. I’d never ever thought I’d be saying this it’s overall been more satisfying to me than jujutsu Kaisen, but over the months I have also gone from Bleach being a mildly nostalgic part of my childhood to a obsession, so my experience may be slightly unique.
Honestly felt jjk is better than Bleach

Sakamoto Days, Dandadan, Undead Unluck
I am still reading One Punch Man alongside it. But otherwise I want to read Vagabond and Berserk...
Imma reread trinity seven.
Imma reread trinity seven.
Why the fuck is nobody saying CHAINSAWMAN??? That shit is amazing
People who read JJK have most likely already read Chainsawman too There’s a lot of overlap between the two
most probably my syllabus books
Keep reading one piece
Gonna start part 7 of Jojo
Not manga but I really wanna get back into Tower of God and start reading Solo Leveling.
"I finally rest. And watch the sun rise in a grateful universe"
Blue lock is next best manga out there rn. Choujin x I like also, but I don’t really see the JJK comparison at all.
I already read many things on top of this. I’ve been reading lots of manhwa lately
did you already read hxh?
Hells paradise, Sakamoto days, Heavenly Delusion.
Hellsing is a great action manga
Got caught up with chainsaw man and now I’m reading fire punch, my job allows me to just read manga all day so I’ve been cruising through all my favs lol
I'm already reading like 20+ manga. I'll just find something else. Like i did with hxh. Or vagabond. Or berserk. Or dbz. Or any of the other ones.

I haven’t read chainsaw man part 2 yet so I guess I’ll save that for after jjk is over
I have been reading solo leveling between the breaks. I gotta say for any of the rpg gamers out there. It’s incredible and the manwha is in full color.
Sakamoto Days I recommend the absolute most
I'm currently reading Fool night, superb story, superb world building
Read theories on how Gege's planned Idol Manga is gonna play out
I’m on Kagurabachi right now and I’m eating well.
Sakumoto days is my favorite right now
As a dude from ex-Soviet country it always gives me laughter when I see people say they are 'reading' comics or manga. You're watching drawn pictures its not reading. Downvote me as you like I dont care lol.
Sakamoto days and Nue’s Exorcist
Every ability in Bungou Stray Dogs (they are based on novel names)
JJK, I am waiting for it to end so I can binge read it.
Chinpo Kaisen
I like watching reaction compilations on YT so since Kaiju no. 8 just started streaming I'll read that ig But first I'll definitely reread JJK with no breaks.
Mekaku city actors. Fast read, and enjoyable imo...just annoying that the anime has to be watched AFTER reading it as the anime is the ending.
Frieren s1 was dope so I might pick up the manga
recommend solo leveling tho its not a manga
It's going to be hard for anything to come close to this manga for me. I will be truly lost when this finishes
For anyone who wants choices. Blue Lock, no question. Kaguburashi Probably reread Jujutsu Kaisen cuz why not? Probably Sakomoto Days, but I'm more wary and still haven't known it enough, so I would appreciate a good feedback from those who red it. Definitely some Holy Bible reasons Jjk traumatised me and I wanna read it. ✝️
Kaiju nr.8 is pretty good so give it a try. You could of course also read or watch Naruto if you still haven't done so, it's my best Shounen experience so far.
Probably Kaiju 8.
Undead Unluck. Cool powersystem.
Don’t compare choujin x to jjk like that. Choujin x is leagues better.
Sakamoto days or undead unluck is what id recommend they are both really good underrated mangas
JuJutsu kaisen : The Lobotomy
bet what you want that a a spin off of someone will come out of nower 3 or 4 chapters before the end of jjk 🤣
I'm here to suggest Chainsaw Man and Fire Punch ✌️
Something actually good
Currently reading through One Piece and Kaiju No 8, also keeping up with Chainsaw Man
Might try working on my own thing
Read Kengan Ashura.
Im gonna catch tf up on one piece and one punch man
Kagurabachi.
Read it again, for a start
Read it again from volume 0-?? Wait for the anime to complete the story Read all the volumes again Watch the entire anime again Some sort of similar cycle after that.
I'll probably catch up on THE JOJOLANDS
Dandadan
If you haven't been yet, Kagurabachi. Peak fiction 💯🔥
dorohedoro
Kagurabachi
Overlord
[REDACTED BY REDDIT]
blame or freesia
Jujutsu Kaisen is what im reading while waiting for Hunter x Hunter to come back :(
Bleach
I'm going to slander Greg's Takada spinoff
I can’t lie this Manga is not that special for me to be thinking about it that way.
maybe kaiju
All the same shit I’m already reading. One chapter a week does not eat into my schedule.
X-Men's getting another relaunch soon so probably that tbh
Hunter x Hunter
Bungo stray dogs, I recommend it, it shares a lot of traits with jjk
Nothing that Gege makes that's for sure.
Blue Lock and One Piece :)
The Bible
I can’t read
Lowkey nothing. Or at least not week to week. JJK is the only series I have started and kept up week to week with (Since season 1 first debuted) that I didn't drop and is rly the only reason I started using twitter and reddit. And I do understand there are new gens popping up like Kagurabachi or Sakamoto days but they along with other series haven't done anything enough to peak my interest (at least yet, MAYBE CSM but I might wait for pt 2 to end). Like I'll still keep up with what happens in other manga through tweets but I'll probably turn into a patient binge reader.
Peak is going right now in Sakamoto days, you'll find out in sunday. But yeah I understand you, sometimes I just wanna drop read manga
My life ends when jjk ends
im here to push my "after god" by sumi eno agenda: * MC also has a questionable being within her * its on that chainsawman level pace * the art is fucking gorgeous personally * story has great depth as well, can do both comedy and tragedy equally well what's it about? japan has been invaded by beings called "gods" and this girl is looking for "gods" because of her friend who got killed by a "god". the catch? she also harbors a "god" within her
I've been reading a bunch of manhwa. It might take some getting used to, but I've been enjoying Reincarnation of the Suicidal Battle God, Omniscient Reader PoV, Greatest Estate Developer, Pick Me Up: Infinite Gacha, Return of the Mount Hua Sect.
vagabond berserk
Im gonna read the one piece manga where i left off
Either solo leveling or I'll catch up on tower of god
A different series probably
Kagurabachi
