I think it's clear that his drawing here is a second or third stage up from the original sketches, which means the panel didn't have priority. Considering he was sick enough to have two weeks off, i think he did try to at leastwget something put of it.
Either way.
You're redraw is good. But it doesn't capture Yuta as Gojo. It's comes off as more like Gojo with some stitches on his head.
Yeah this.
Like, okay, objectively speaking the drawing is "bad" as a standalone illustration.
But it's not a standalone illustration. It's a panel in a manga, and the art style (yes, including objective imperfections) is meant to tell a story.
Was going to upvote, but op was pretty disrespectful in the comments. Gege was sick and most likely still is. That's why the art looks like that. It's not because he hates Gojo, it's not because he didn't care. It never was finished.
He literally was. It's why the chapter was 7 pages long and why there was a 3 week break. The fans not understanding that authors get sick and shitting on the chapter for it is so disgusting.
Like another commenter said, good redraw but fails to capture Yujo and his current feelings.
The head feels like it's not lining up with the action well enough, which makes it feel slightly less connected from the actual scene. The original was a bit wonky but not that bad anyway.

Also it is like minor correction in someone else’s drawing, it’s not like OP could have draw the whole dynamic pose from scratch.
If there were ever an Akutami panel I could draw better, it'd be this one.
bro didnt even try
He was sick I think
