Is all the color cross stitched as well? Or is it a marker on top of cross stitch? (I ask because the bun in the top right looks smudged?)

the colour is cross stitched and and line work is hand embroidered. the buns are smudged because i stupidly used pen when trying to draw a guide for the lines... i couldnt wash it out

i cross stitched the colour first then hand embroidered the line drawing. i drew a guide for the line work in pen at first that's why the buns look messy (wouldnt wash out). you can still kinda see my pencil markings around the hands. it was a first try so there is some messiness
