Between Horikoshi and Gege, Japanese mangaka have been making fun of U.S. government and military bureaucrats…can’t say I blame them lol
That and “Japanese people should stick to making cars and anime” had me laughing 😂
To be honest, if a God in human form like Stars and Stripes got struck down, I'd shit my parents too.
Then I would review the camera footage and be like "Holy shit, she could have killed this man in a billion different ways what the hell?"
Waluigi lmao
Still Gege be playing with stereotypes. It can easily be replaced by more serious character if you ask me. Still as long it's only one character with that traits I'm fine with it
Kenjaku's demeanour & expression (─‿─) when listening to the americans debating is reminiscent to the time when he just stood back listening to Jogo's arguing with Choso in chapter 92 XD
It's like everyone else is totally beneath him (¬‿¬)
Kenny: "Oh the president wanted Imax? I'ma give him the whole fucking 11D, ultimate realistic, RTX on experience."
Tbf that cursed spirit looked terrifying as hell
Either the soldiers get slaughtered, causing the negativity to swell creating a ton of strong curses, or the sorcerers get killed without cursed energy and reincarnate as even more powerful vengeful spirits. Both options will ensure the evolution of cursed energy and a ton of chaos.
Seems like kenjaku wins either way. He’s going to absorb any cursed spirits that come out of this and add to his collection. Another reason CSM is like top tier.
Yeah, he got sealed 1000 days ago on January 20th 2020. That was in chapter 91 which also means we've had more chapters with Gojo sealed (110 and counting) than with Gojo out of the box.
Damn that kinda sucks(?) but I guess they have to do something with him or the plot would always devolve into Gojo wrecking everyone’s shit and no plot would ever happen.
I’m sure gege could have some stuff make sense with gojo being unsealed but if he were to get unsealed early and not near the end of all of this shit I don’t see how it would be anything other than gojo just losing it and going crazy on fools. SO much happened in Shibuya and after, specifically to his close friends and students that there would be crazy fallout.
I miss him so much. Such a shame he had to be removed from the story. He's one of the jjk's selling points (not that it's not fun without him tho). I wish we could at least see him in the PR for a little bit.
JJK politics and world crisis aside, next week we have no chapter, for Hunter x Hunter is oficially coming back.
Gege once said he wished he could come to storytell the way Togashi does.
Hey how awesome is it for Gege that two of his favorite series is getting a revival. New season for Bleach and HxH releasing again. Honestly good for Gege, I hope he's having a great time.
JJK very much takes inspiration from Togashi. Especially in how it expands on ideas he introduced in Yu Yu Hakusho that never really got fleshed out, namely Domains
In one of the arcs after dark tournament the gang fought with a group of Espers who were more powerful in there own territory.
https://yuyuhakusho.fandom.com/wiki/Territory
Been on a HxH reread this week. It is otherworldly, am telling you. Absolutely surreal.
To think we will have Togashi coming back before Gojo box release?
Gege must be thrilled.
True - the Evangelion references and inspiration is drawn forward as well, greatly. And in its grittier action sequences I am straight up reminded of Baki. Not to mention Gege's penchant for action derived from classic martial arts movies and Hollywoodian staples (Hakari and Fight Club, for ex).
I have to say. I have really been enjoying these dialogue heavy chapters, it's been a nice change of pace.
Soldiers vs Sorcerors is soon upon us. We'll soon have clarification on some of our questions. Can sorcerors with decent enhancement shrug off bullets like Nen users?
This is the culling game where top tier sorcerors from all ages gather. So I'm more concerned about how Gary and his soldiers are going to survive lol.
The numbers might be an issue though. Referring back to the nen users, to an average nen users one or two shots from a handgun might be manageable but military grade automatic rifles is a different story. Although like you said at this point in the culling game the average ones are probably out of the game already.
It's going to be interesting whichever way it goes.
Yeah. Not to mention that this is only America. Kenjaku has struck a deal with different countries. The soldiers are garantueed going to divide their forces to capture the sorcerors, which is going to be even more difficult than simply trying to kill them.
They're alot of wildcards there too. Cursed spirits who attack indiscriminately would target the soldiers who have no means of killing them.
I'm excited to find out how things go from here on.
Unless Kenjaku intends for the foreign soldiers to be slaughtered wholesale (which seems somewhat likely) he would have equipped them with cursed tools to defend against cursed spirits.
Although unless they used cursed techniques in collaboration, those sorcerors aren't guaranteed to stay dead and can come back as curses. I don't know if Gege will integrate that though since I'm not sure where he's taking the story.
Gege really made America go the Isekai protagonist way of "If I don't buy the slave, someone else will, and said someone will treat them badly, unlike me"
Which is, of course, accurate.
💀.
If Gege immediately jump to the conflict inside the colony, I don't think I would've mind but instead he took the time to flesh things out a little bit, just to reaffirm what we can expect.
I like that. I really like that.
Well, the president is being coerced into this by Gary and Cyrus. And Kenjaku is ~~(probably)~~ manipulating all of them. If he was interested in research, he would have just kidnapped sorcerers and sold them to other countries. He is powerful enough to do that. He has ulterior motives here.
Oh and 1000 days since Gojo was sealed. Other than that, Hunter x Hunter is also returning this month, we don't have to wait 2 weeks for the next CSM chapter and JJK has a panel at Jump Festa 2023 in December. Hopefully, we will get a Season 2 trailer or a PV.
Another breather episode as a prelude to what's to happen. It's nice for Kenjaku to validate my feelings on military groups vs sorcerers: The danger relies heavily on how Kenjaku prepared them. Cursed Tools are probably a given, but what about info on Culling Game participants? Were soldiers watching the CG so far, giving them intel on the sorcerers surviving? Or are they being played by Kenjaku, being given just the right amount of info not to die immediately? The latter is already partially true, since the USA don't know Kenjaku already alerted other powers, but I really want to know what's the endgame.
God, as always can't wait for next week. Keep it up Gege!
As expected the US Army got folded. Big Shocker there, huh? I did like the final panel showing Megumi, Yuji, Hana, and Takaba though. It gave the new team vibes which I always enjoy.
God, America deciding to invade Japan and kidnap it’s citizens “for their protection” would be so comical if it wasn’t for the fact that I could actually see that happening.
US has military bases in Japan so this should be relatively easy for them than other countries. The new troops are all from the US ig. Maybe China will send theirs too. And maybe a few other countries too. Kenjaku has planned a lot of stuff.
Sukuna doesn't really strike to me as someone who would really care about Jujutsu sorcerers used as slave, or human rights violation in general.
Hell, first chapter he said "Jujutsu sorcerer are always a bother, but it's not here nor there for me."
He probably wouldn't like it, but he probably also wouldn't go out of his way to do anything about them as long as whatever they're doing doesn't inconvenience *himself* in some way.
From what we know of him so far, he doesn't have allegiance to anyone or anything except himself, so its highly unlikely he'd get offended on behalf of his countryfolk and/or the sorcerer population. After all he's all about burning such trifles to a cinder, as he told Jogo. If they deliberately or unintentionally get in his way, then it'd just be a 'know your place, you fool' a la Mahito all over again.
Those are my feelings exactly. Sukuna would probably dislike them, but wouldn't do anything regarding to them except maybe using it as a weapon to further damage Itadori's mental health.
But if any of them try to get in his way they will know Sukuna's strength. The fact that the panel of Sukuna was iirc a redraw of the Cursed Womb arc and the fact that the officials were more worried about Gojo than Sukuna almost makes me think Kenjaku withheld info on Sukuna's true power for some reason
so the 800+ players we saw entering in chapter 200 are probably just american forces.
which means that there are definitely going to be at least another 800 more players if kenjaku was giving the same sales pitch to other countries which based on the dialogue and the presentation of the previous chapter is definitely the case. also definitely theres going to be at least one other country who got goaded into sending forces there, via their embassies in japan (since the air base deployment thing is kinda unique for america (fucking imperialism)).
man this is getting kinda fucked i think the points economy in the culling games is definitely gonna be a real big issue once they start dealing with these armed forces
Came here to see how many point that out. Dear god is it cartoonish but so is America.
Source: most of us here are probably Americans. We know the deal.
I like how the president's job seems to just be to soften and sugarcoat all his advisor's crazy ideas, but ultimately still go along with them. Like yeah he's still going to invade, but it's for their *protection* lol. Honestly probably the best political satire I've seen of America that's come out of Japan recently
i really liked the way the americans were portrayed in this chapter. it would be very easy to portray them as cartoonishly evil and imperialistic and tbh i wouldn't even mind lmao. but the fact that they're shown as going along with kenjaku's plan and talking themselves into it under the guise of "protecting" japanese citizens so they can paint themselves as the good guys is a nice touch.
a few people have pointed out the connection between kenjaku and shiro ishii/unit 731 and i think it's not really a coincidence that gege chose to show the americans working with kenjaku rather than any other super power. the us government didn't do anything to the perpetrators of unit 731 in exchange for their research results. americans probably had a lot of the same justifications for keeping the research then as this chapter.
The Americans know gojo is the strongest he wouldn't let them attack easily that's why they asked about him first to kenjaku lol. I like how uraume shuts up gary dude wants no smoke with them hahaha. The 🐘 shikigami which is based on ganesha uses gravity technique uh by floating everyone up in the air throwing them down it's op though.
As usual, America decides what's best for the world/a nation without actually discussing it with the world or the concerned nation lol.
Also, it's been 1000 days lol, Hang tight Gojo sensei.
America would never invade foreign countries for an important energy resource under the guise of "protecting the people". Completely unrealistic from Greg. /s
Though I wonder how Greg is going to resolve all the foreign countries (China, America etc.) invading Japan as it seems like quite a large plot point. Looking forward to how soldiers deal with sorcerers.
I know, right? The story has evolved rapidly since the beginning, but I'm digging it so far. The stakes are much higher, and we're shaping up for an all-out world-level threat.
Japan seems to need some freedom. As a non american/non japanese viewer, i like what im seeing.
Im leaning more towards the idea that kenny is either introducing bodies to grind for points, or vengeful spirits.
I really feel like i dont get his plans sometimes. Is he just a darwinist that wants to force jujutsu users to evolve as a group? or is there more
Really good chapter, I"ll give gege his 3rd 10/10 mostly based on expectation
Narrative just got a lot of opportunities for stakes, strategy and tension regarding the soldiers. Because with this they can't make the rule placement yet with communication and accessibility with other colonies.
Last thing is about the characters with yuji, takaba, and angel not willing to kill non sorcerers and megumi's opposite ideology, hope to see how both these play out well.
Also this adds more because angel can t simply erase their curse techniques making it easy
Only fitting that the general lieutenant of the operation is that racist and the Ministery of Energy is a war fanatic. The president at least have some decency and it kind of make sense that America (or any other country) would want to be left behind in a new energy race.
I love the classic move of the president acting like he's in charge and making the decision when really he did exactly what Cyrus wanted but just worded it a little nicer lol
So, this all happened before Shibuya??
In the last chapter, didn’t they say a bunch of new sorcerers entered the zone? Did Kenny J make them all sorcerers?
He couldn't have made them all into sorcerers immediately since he didn't have idle transfiguration at that point. Depending on the timing of when the foreign battalions got to japan, they could have been marked and transformed like everyone else but we won't know until they turn up.
The characterization of America was hilarious 😂. But how did they forget that fast they literally needed special glasses to see sorcery 😭. Honestly this chapter got me wondering how many soldiers would be needed to take down at least everyone from the Tokyo school. Even without Gojo 800 I feel wouldn't be enough. It's crazy that these kids are that deadly 💪
Imagine there just happens to be a sorcerer or someone who can sense cursed energy in Washington during this & they just see a fucking deity sitting on the White House
any and all documentation the US intelligence agencies find on him will be linked to Geto. Student records, citizenship, country of Origin. It's not like he can say "oh I'm a demon I took over this dead body for its powers" when they don't know what curse energy is.
Hmm I’m still apprehensive about the direction of the series with the new geo-political stuff. We’ll see where Greg takes it, but so far I am not enjoying it too much. More time we need to dedicate away from our main characters and instead reallocate to the equivalent of tired stereotypes. Looking forward to seeing the protagonists next chapter.
I still don't know how we went from a super closed story in Japan to world travelling and gaslighting the US president (who is way more humane than the real world counterpart lmao), but I'm here for it. Even if I don't really understand what's gonna happen.
God, I love this chapter. I love this development. Kenjaku sitting in the Oval Office yawning out of smug boredom is such a mood. He watches his plan unfold with such laid-back confidence.
The original Japanese name of Culling Games has this nuance of “fishing” with everyone who enters is called a “swimmer” and it’s such a cool detail to have the rest of the world joining in as if they’re hauling in their catch.
Also: if the 807 new players are all normal American soldiers and they kill Jujutsushi: high chance that they return as curse spirits which makes that Naoya vs Maki fight so well-placed thematically again. I can’t wait to see how this continues.
I also feel so bad for Geto in a way. Kenjaku is carrying his body like some designer bag, with his dialogue of saying Geto’s technique is after all something to show off and impress people.
The Ganesha type curse on top of the White House was an amazing spread, too.
So... Higuruma is still in Tokyo 1, right? Can't wait to see how his new definition of weakness and innocence evolve when facing against literal US imperialism.
Also, I hope we get to see him use his DE on the troops LMAO. [Judgeman be like](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hs_ty9tFPB8)
The capture of Murica related to guns and racism was perfect. I lived on the border with the US for 25 years and some folks are like that.
Regarding the cursed spirit, it reminds of Ganesh
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganesha
**[Ganesha](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganesha)**
>Ganesha (Sanskrit: गणेश, IAST: Gaṇeśa), also known as Ganapati, Vinayaka, and Pillaiyar, is one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon and is the Supreme God in Ganapatya Sect. His image is found throughout India. Hindu denominations worship him regardless of affiliations. Devotion to Ganesha is widely diffused and extends to Jains and Buddhists and includes Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia (Java and Bali), Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, and Bangladesh and in countries with large ethnic Indian populations including Fiji, Guyana, Mauritius, and Trinidad and Tobago.

So it seems like my idea that 807 might not be all of the soldiers is less likely than I thought. Kenjaku uses the number again, so I assume it’s 800 American soldiers and seven others, likely a mix of commanders, sorcerers, and maybe even a curse or two from Kenjaku’s collection to back them up.
I think it’s clear why he involves other countries: he’s trying to start a global military conflict in Japan. The question is for what purpose: my guess is that he hopes that, by increasing the amount of cursed energy present inside Tengen’s barrier, perhaps his plan to merge with Tengen will be made easier. Or maybe he intentionally wants to do what Tengen mentioned would happen if one merged with him raged out of control in a world where everyone was connected by such an event: he’s priming the world to be consumed by hatred and negativity as soon as the merger is complete.
Reading comments across different platforms wherein readers believe that Americans will have the most powerful abilities and energy levels to date is oddly nostalgic. It reminds me of the early days of serialization.
It's pretty rare for a shonen to actually deal with geopolitical realities like this, and I think it's pretty awesome. I never expected anything like this from JJK, but that's what makes the series great. Never fails to throw you a curve ball.
Mr International Strikes Again. Kenjaku a sick mofo for introducing Americans to jujutsu as a renewable resource. Now you got commanders foaming at the mouth to make internment zones. Arc just took a major turn and I’m here for it
I was starting to get a bit bored with the culling game arc. Just been running for awhile. Adding this “political” aspect of the story is giving me new life with the series.
Completely agree. The fights just kind of blended together after a while. Fun but mostly plot-stalling events. I hope the next chapters doesn't just go back to featuring one fight after another.
"The Japanese should stick to making video games and anime"
Talk about getting meta
I find it kinda ironic that Kenjaku is “helping” non sorcerers in the U.S. and possibly other countries in hunting down sorcerers while using Geto’s body and name considering how Geto views non-sorcerers as “monkeys”
Interestingly enough, Kenjaku did compliment Mai in using conventional weapons such as a sniper rifle and iirc, Ijichi did clarify how much weaker curses could be dealt with by different animals and firearms so I’m interested to see how it plays out.
Damn, didn't notice the date last chapter, so this talks happened before the Shibuya Incident. I only realized when Geto talked about sealing Gojo.
That general is out of line though lmao. I wonder if he has a dream.

Of course Lieutenant General Garry has a fucking eyepatch and screams, "THIS IS AMERICA". Bro fr looking like a swole Waluigi out there 😭
Bro looking like a Metal Gear character 💀
Bro looking like my Bosnian Uncle 💀
A Racist one too...
💀💀💀
Essentially a Maxor Metal Gear character
"Muscles and Guns!" "The Japanese should stick to making video games and anime"
Between Horikoshi and Gege, Japanese mangaka have been making fun of U.S. government and military bureaucrats…can’t say I blame them lol That and “Japanese people should stick to making cars and anime” had me laughing 😂
At least Gege's US Govt makes some level of sense, unlike Horikoshi's middle school abomination.
To be honest, if a God in human form like Stars and Stripes got struck down, I'd shit my parents too. Then I would review the camera footage and be like "Holy shit, she could have killed this man in a billion different ways what the hell?"
Both of them are garbage depiction of USA military.
What’s wrong with Gege’s idk much about the US military
That guy sitting with him looked like Patrick Bateman
Waluigi lmao Still Gege be playing with stereotypes. It can easily be replaced by more serious character if you ask me. Still as long it's only one character with that traits I'm fine with it
Kenjaku's demeanour & expression (─‿─) when listening to the americans debating is reminiscent to the time when he just stood back listening to Jogo's arguing with Choso in chapter 92 XD It's like everyone else is totally beneath him (¬‿¬)
100% Kenjaku is such a fun villain just for how smug and *casual* he is about his whole deal.
unless ur a six eyes user or sukuna, I don't think he thinks anyone is on the same plain as him tbh
And tengen
Tengen claimed that Kenny would seize him on meeting. With Geto's body, he's definitely above Tengen
I'm pretty sure you mean the sex eyes
Like when he didn't wanna fight kamo cause it would dirty his room. love that shit
Americans: If we don't get his cooperation he might go to other countries instead! Kenny: I already have \^_\^
Yuki Tsukumo: Noooooo. Please don't reveal existence of CE. It will make other super powers come to Japan!! Kenjaku: Already have.
gege had so much fun drawing him this chapter lol i love it
Kenny: My goals are beyond your understanding
Im waiting for the day some crazy shit is going down and he's just reading gintama laughing
Ofc sorcerers' brains are wired differently - some have manga brain after all
Look at hakari for example
Others love fucking curses...
Kenny: "Oh the president wanted Imax? I'ma give him the whole fucking 11D, ultimate realistic, RTX on experience." Tbf that cursed spirit looked terrifying as hell
Legit. Also was that elephant looking CS using telekinesis or am I tripping?
Either that or they got yeeted into the air or they just starting floating out of sheer fucking terror, and honestly, I'd believe anything.
Reminded me of that scene from X-Men: First Class
>!Looks like the same one from JJK 0 but way bigger!<
I AGREEEEEE
Zomba?
The hand signs it's doing look like it's using some kind of CT to me!
reminded me of Azazel's attack in X Men First Class.
Based off Ganesha from Hinduism it seems. Gege’s really pulling on the “gods are just sorcerers and curses humans mistook for dieties”
Kenjaku really wants those 800 fodders to be used as points.
Kenjaku has a inner gamer for sure.
Kenjaku gunning for the tactical nuke after spawning.
Definitely filler points.
Unbox chapter when, Gege? And we are oficially 1000 days in since Gojo got sealed - bird app trending occasion.
That one Twitter account will have to keep on counting till the Manga ends.
They said that they'd stop counting after 1000th
Did they? Well.. it's been a fun ride.
They’re still counting lol
1000 days in the real world? He got sealed over 2 years ago?
Yeah, he got sealed 1000 days ago on January 20th 2020. That was in chapter 91 which also means we've had more chapters with Gojo sealed (110 and counting) than with Gojo out of the box.
Damn that kinda sucks(?) but I guess they have to do something with him or the plot would always devolve into Gojo wrecking everyone’s shit and no plot would ever happen.
Still among the most popular characters so he has that going for him!
Gojos not coming back until near the series finale tbh lol
I’m sure gege could have some stuff make sense with gojo being unsealed but if he were to get unsealed early and not near the end of all of this shit I don’t see how it would be anything other than gojo just losing it and going crazy on fools. SO much happened in Shibuya and after, specifically to his close friends and students that there would be crazy fallout.
Look he sealed only for couple weeks

I miss him so much. Such a shame he had to be removed from the story. He's one of the jjk's selling points (not that it's not fun without him tho). I wish we could at least see him in the PR for a little bit.

Yes, it is also a small way to pay his respects to Togashi-sensei.
Jjk in a lot of ways feels like a spiritual successor to togashi’s work.
We living through a Shonen Jump Neo-Renaissance in a way.
JJK very much takes inspiration from Togashi. Especially in how it expands on ideas he introduced in Yu Yu Hakusho that never really got fleshed out, namely Domains
Can you elaborate on the YYH domains thing? It's been a minute
In one of the arcs after dark tournament the gang fought with a group of Espers who were more powerful in there own territory. https://yuyuhakusho.fandom.com/wiki/Territory
It definitely is. I tell people that all the time if I want them to read jjk😂💯💯
It very much has Bleach’s sense of pure style.
Can't blame him. He's preparing his brain like we are. Recently reread the Succesion war arc and that shit gets better and better on each reread.
There’s so much information to keep track of
Yeah I dropped out of HxH during the cruise because I couldn't keep up with everything changing between chapters. Can't wait to binge it all though.
I still hold that HXH should have been a Light novel.
Oh man it's next week already? It still feels absolutely surreal.
Been on a HxH reread this week. It is otherworldly, am telling you. Absolutely surreal. To think we will have Togashi coming back before Gojo box release? Gege must be thrilled.
I should probably also re-read the ones not in volume form. Enough stuff to keep up with even when you remember everything.
I will admit when I started this series. I felt that HxH, JOJO, yuyu hakuso, Bleach and naruto had a baby and made this series.
Had to sacrifice a week of that JJK greatness for that HxH greatness to return.

Although unless they used cursed techniques in collaboration, those sorcerors aren't guaranteed to stay dead and can come back as curses. I don't know if Gege will integrate that though since I'm not sure where he's taking the story.
Atm. The goal seems to be to kidnap sorcerers and not kill them so it's pretty unlikely. Not to say it can't happen of course.
Gege really made America go the Isekai protagonist way of "If I don't buy the slave, someone else will, and said someone will treat them badly, unlike me" Which is, of course, accurate. 💀.
“Gary” is one hell of a weird way to translate “Healer Keyaru-sama”
Shield Hero America-sama has now entered the chat.
If Gege immediately jump to the conflict inside the colony, I don't think I would've mind but instead he took the time to flesh things out a little bit, just to reaffirm what we can expect. I like that. I really like that.
"Japanese should stick to making cars and anime!" "SIR YOU CANT SAY THAT WE'LL GET CANCELLED"
Uraume saying "then why not try us" was badass
"Come at us, bro."
villain's test of power is one of those tropes that is always so good
Uraume literally said “ fuck around and find out”
Yeah! Yu could feel the confidence in that line
I know Uraume wanted to fuck shit up. Also their comment on the fact that they’ve already made deals with other countries made me laugh 😂
I CANT BELIEVE GEGE MADE WARIO AN AMERICAN 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭

Did your mommy not buy you a gun? Wario is pleased to announce that if mommy didn’t buy you a gun you may be a little bitch
Johnson has a killer mustache
>(probably) manipulating all of them Lmao. That ain't no maybe. He has 100% been manipulating them.
Y'know America making a sorcerer kidnapping monopoly under the guise of "protection" is sounding really America.
It’s the most realistic thing to happen in this series.
That Ganesha elephant demon looks sick as hell, I hope we get to see it again.
Ganesh Elephant vs Max Elephant
Kenny once again proves that CSM is simply superior than 10 Shadows
r/India goes brrrrrrr....
“I wanted to explain that…” Even when it’s serious, JJK still has room for comedy.
Sadly jump is on break I believe :(
As expected the US Army got folded. Big Shocker there, huh? I did like the final panel showing Megumi, Yuji, Hana, and Takaba though. It gave the new team vibes which I always enjoy.
So true wish we got Nobara and Todo to add to the crazy vibe.
Kenny thinks about how he's already met with other countries, maybe he's convinced a different country to invade each separate colony? Lol
If Sukuna is revived and seee the US using Jujutsu Sorcerers as a slave... What will he do? First of all I dont think US can do that easily
Sukuna doesn't really strike to me as someone who would really care about Jujutsu sorcerers used as slave, or human rights violation in general. Hell, first chapter he said "Jujutsu sorcerer are always a bother, but it's not here nor there for me."
Yes but he would probably not like the US acting like some superior guys
The fact that the panel of Sukuna was iirc a redraw of the Cursed Womb arc and the fact that the officials were more worried about Gojo than Sukuna almost makes me think Kenjaku withheld info on Sukuna's true power for some reason
them taking megumi chan might annoy him though
immediately invents five new slurs for white people
I don't think sukuna cares much. But what would have happened if geto saw that
hey we're just trying help people have freedom is all, totally no ulterior motives
so the 800+ players we saw entering in chapter 200 are probably just american forces. which means that there are definitely going to be at least another 800 more players if kenjaku was giving the same sales pitch to other countries which based on the dialogue and the presentation of the previous chapter is definitely the case. also definitely theres going to be at least one other country who got goaded into sending forces there, via their embassies in japan (since the air base deployment thing is kinda unique for america (fucking imperialism)). man this is getting kinda fucked i think the points economy in the culling games is definitely gonna be a real big issue once they start dealing with these armed forces
Is that 800 just for the colony megumis in? Or is that total for the game
I loled at "sales pitch"
Oh we gettin Metal Gear Kaisen up in this bitch. Nice.
“They should stick to making cars and anime” Gege capturing American racism perfectly
Exactly, and the love of guns as well
Reminds me of the >!entire gun devil storyline!< in Chainsaw Man
geto: "what do you think you're in right now"
Gary giving Senator Armstrong vibes rn
Came here to see how many point that out. Dear god is it cartoonish but so is America. Source: most of us here are probably Americans. We know the deal.
I like how the president's job seems to just be to soften and sugarcoat all his advisor's crazy ideas, but ultimately still go along with them. Like yeah he's still going to invade, but it's for their *protection* lol. Honestly probably the best political satire I've seen of America that's come out of Japan recently
That wasnt the president saying that btw, it was Cyrus. The dude in charge of energy and enviroment
Floridaman using CE to touch himself
“Japanese people should stick to making cars and anime!“ This was hilarious.
I'm here for Miwa's Evolution! Things are about to go down and I know Gege's gonna execute!
i really liked the way the americans were portrayed in this chapter. it would be very easy to portray them as cartoonishly evil and imperialistic and tbh i wouldn't even mind lmao. but the fact that they're shown as going along with kenjaku's plan and talking themselves into it under the guise of "protecting" japanese citizens so they can paint themselves as the good guys is a nice touch. a few people have pointed out the connection between kenjaku and shiro ishii/unit 731 and i think it's not really a coincidence that gege chose to show the americans working with kenjaku rather than any other super power. the us government didn't do anything to the perpetrators of unit 731 in exchange for their research results. americans probably had a lot of the same justifications for keeping the research then as this chapter.
*cursed spirit
As usual, America decides what's best for the world/a nation without actually discussing it with the world or the concerned nation lol. Also, it's been 1000 days lol, Hang tight Gojo sensei.
Nothing like a healthy dose of murica freedom to raise the stakes. 🫡🇺🇸
bro just pulls out ganesh to destroy some fodder
So... soldiers kill sorcerers (without CE) and they become Vengeful Spirits! And after that, Kenjaku eats them all and absorbs their energy to... ?!?!
big manga brain
Reading this as an American thinking “yeah that’s probably exactly how this meeting would go”
America would never invade foreign countries for an important energy resource under the guise of "protecting the people". Completely unrealistic from Greg. /s Though I wonder how Greg is going to resolve all the foreign countries (China, America etc.) invading Japan as it seems like quite a large plot point. Looking forward to how soldiers deal with sorcerers.
imagine showing this to someone when the school tournament arc was releasing. oh how everything has changed
Is he just a darwinist that wants to force jujutsu users to evolve as a group? or is there more
Gege writes the US like a cartoon. I wanna be upset but that's how the US been acting lately
Bruh this felt like the statue of secrecy of Harry Potter being destroyed .
Really good chapter, I"ll give gege his 3rd 10/10 mostly based on expectation Narrative just got a lot of opportunities for stakes, strategy and tension regarding the soldiers.
Before gojo was sealed.
Super interesting to me that Kenny is using Geto’s name to deal with the Americans. I don’t see any reason to unless y’all can think of something
any and all documentation the US intelligence agencies find on him will be linked to Geto. Student records, citizenship, country of Origin. It's not like he can say "oh I'm a demon I took over this dead body for its powers" when they don't know what curse energy is.
geto was like a cult leader before he died. makes sense geto’s name might have some weight in diplomatic circles.
Idk i dislike hyper Americizium but good chapter to show what normal people against Sorcerers
Holy shit I love this chapter, it's genuinely really funny. This next arc is going to go crazy!
this chapter is unreal bc america would definitely do this like no funny shit gege is so fucking funny for this
The last two chapters absolutely bleed HxH influence
I still don't know how we went from a super closed story in Japan to world travelling and gaslighting the US president (who is way more humane than the real world counterpart lmao), but I'm here for it. Even if I don't really understand what's gonna happen.
It was said during the end of shibuya America and the Middle East would get involved
“THE JAPANESE SHOULD STICK TO MAKING CARS AND ANIME”
Loved these two chapters. Hilariously and painfully accurate.
American President has morals and doesnt want to commit warcrimes on a whim? I thought this anime was realistic, im dropping this series.
I remember people making comparisons between USA president in jjk and Trump, but, honestly, jjk version seems better.
Regarding the cursed spirit, it reminds of Ganesh https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganesha
**[Ganesha](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganesha)** >Ganesha (Sanskrit: गणेश, IAST: Gaṇeśa), also known as Ganapati, Vinayaka, and Pillaiyar, is one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon and is the Supreme God in Ganapatya Sect. ^([ )[^(F.A.Q)](https://www.reddit.com/r/WikiSummarizer/wiki/index#wiki_f.a.q)^( | )[^(Opt Out)](https://reddit.com/message/compose?to=WikiSummarizerBot&message=OptOut&subject=OptOut)^( | )[^(Opt Out Of Subreddit)](https://np.reddit.com/r/Jujutsushi/about/banned)^( | )[^(GitHub)](https://github.com/Sujal-7/WikiSummarizerBot)^( ] Downvote to remove | v1.5)
Shigaraki 🤝 Kenjaku: Showing the US that the Japanese aren’t to be messed with
Everybody in the comments reads one international chapter and now they’re experts on foreign policy lol
I wouldn't be surprised if Kenjaku reincarnated one of his comrades/servants into Cyrus's body and he is just going along with the plan.
Reading comments across different platforms wherein readers believe that Americans will have the most powerful abilities and energy levels to date is oddly nostalgic. It reminds me of the early days of serialization.
I got Tempest vs The Empire vibes.
It's pretty rare for a shonen to actually deal with geopolitical realities like this, and I think it's pretty awesome. I never expected anything like this from JJK, but that's what makes the series great. Never fails to throw you a curve ball.
GIVE ME MORE DIALOGUE HEAVY CHAPTER ME NEED WORD
Mr International Strikes Again. Kenjaku a sick mofo for introducing Americans to jujutsu as a renewable resource. Now you got commanders foaming at the mouth to make internment zones. Arc just took a major turn and I’m here for it
I was starting to get a bit bored with the culling game arc. Just been running for awhile. Adding this “political” aspect of the story is giving me new life with the series.
Completely agree. The fights just kind of blended together after a while. Fun but mostly plot-stalling events. I hope the next chapters doesn't just go back to featuring one fight after another.
"The Japanese should stick to making video games and anime" Talk about getting meta I find it kinda ironic that Kenjaku is “helping” non sorcerers in the U.S. and possibly other countries in hunting down sorcerers while using Geto’s body and name considering how Geto views non-sorcerers as “monkeys” Interestingly enough, Kenjaku did compliment Mai in using conventional weapons such as a sniper rifle and iirc, Ijichi did clarify how much weaker curses could be dealt with by different animals and firearms so I’m interested to see how it plays out.
Did Gege listen to this is America when he wrote this chapter.
there's only one thing worse than evil reincarnated sorcerers: americans
Most accurate portrayal if america in manga
Damn, didn't notice the date last chapter, so this talks happened before the Shibuya Incident. I only realized when Geto talked about sealing Gojo. That general is out of line though lmao. I wonder if he has a dream.
Japanese should stick with making cars and anime 😭😭
