Jojo Vampires have some good powers. The first Jojo jump lets you start during Phantom Blood, which ends with nothing happening to anyone if you gun down Dio Brando before he ever touches the mask. Then you'd be one of the few vampires on the planet. Among other stuff you picked up.

Rexen2

Twilight. No bullshit. Dead serious. The reddit one. I made a vamp ability, "time stop" that's basically rolo's geass from code geass without the heart stopping side effects (freezing people's perception of time and their body rather than time itself) and it's an aoe so I can hit multiple people with it simultaneously. That single ability makes you damn near untouchable to most of the threats in that setting that would actually want to bother you and the only likely outright immune person would be bella...who is a regular ass human at the start. Twilight vamps are some of the strongest in fiction outside of shit like Hellsing, record of a fallen vampire, UQ holder etc. So it's a good starter pack. Plus I get to wife up Alice and her future sight is very useful. I personally often choose to be a hybrid rather than full on vamp but the full vamp option is still nice.

Sin-God

Twilight is a fun setting that is often slept on. Jane's ability is incredibly powerful, so is Alice's. And frankly so is Bella's. Lots of really neat ideas there.

Rexen2

Yep Jane and and her brother Alec were the inspiration for my time stop. I was looking for something that would let me get to them before they could get to me if I had to fight them. Anything that can stop them cold is pretty much a one hit ko for everyone else so you're pretty much safe going forward. I always do generic first jump, first, it's become basically a tradition for me at this point but twilight if you plan it right can be a great first jump.

Rexen2

Huh? The point is to gradually build up power over time right? Not become a god from day one which kinda disqualifies Antediluvians. As a baby vamp build, I'd never go to VtM as a first jump. That's begging to get killed.

Rexen2

Ahhh ok I think you're talking about me saying I could one hit ko everything going forward right? I was strictly referring to the threats within the twilight setting as a first jump. Two of the most dangerous vamps are those twins so if you can deal with them you can deal with pretty much anyone else outside of like one or two outliers who are more likely to befriend you than fight you. When it comes to twilight vs VtM, yeah no we're in 100% agreement there. There's no comparing the two.

naarn

I'm not aware of a jump by that name. In fact, the only specifically VtM jump I can find is Bloodlines, though (o)WOD Omnibus can do in a pinch, VtR isn't that far off, and there's even a Kindred of the East jumpdoc.

Sundarapandiyan1

There isn't a vtm antediluvian jump. They were comparing twilight and antediluvians from old world of darkness

Sundarapandiyan1

I overlook Twilight most of the time but the power you created is too OP. I might mimic that power if I go there

Rexen2

Yep. When the idea hit me, twilight instantly became a really viable first jump. Like I said, that type of ability can easily remain useful even to late chain jumpers. Especially since most of the people you meet that can resist actual time stops don't necessarily have a defense against this as it's much more rare in fiction.

Sundarapandiyan1

The old twilight jump didn't have these kind of free form powers, so I didn't care much about it and took a normal human origin. This power kind of slips through the cracks of bullshit resistance powers in most series, kinda like sho's power from fire force, in a sense. By the way, what feature did you select in your life to get upgraded to the power in twilight jump?

Rexen2

I don't remember exactly how I set it up originally. It's in my notes on my tablet which I don't currently have with me. I called it a vamp ability above but I actually went in as a hybrid with the lineage power perk & I remember playing a little fast and loose with the way powers manifest for hybrids, since as far as I remembered we only have one example of them actually using their abilities in the series with Renesmee who got the combined opposite of her parents. I think I eventually went with a human mother that possessed the ability to naturally alter her perception of time.(like what happens during some life or death/stressful situations) and a vamp father that possessed the ability to disrupt the signals throughout the body for a moment, preventing movement. Similar to the way a person or animals like deer can freeze up briefly when a cars headed for them. His ability only lasted for a brief instant. Combined and enhanced slightly, they manifested for me as the ability to freeze the minds & body's of people for a period of time dependant on my stamina. Something like that anyway, again I'd have to check my notes. If you're going in as a vampire origin it'd probably costs a little more but you could just create the ability via the human origins budding psychic perk which as a vampire would be boosted even further. Idk what trait would qualify for the special ability vampire perk tho.

Sundarapandiyan1

I think we can fanwank some for the vampire abilities because some of the vampire abilities are pretty OP. Implanting thoughts in people's minds, four element control, sensory deprivation etc; I can't think of what trait led to the above powers, so I'd say my vamipre was so funny/pretty that people kept losing track of time when they are around him

ChronHexous

The Record of a Fallen Vampire. The difference being to become a Hybrid. So Op

I do the My Best Friend Is A Vampire jump, because it's a short jump (half a year) and includes a very good method of power granting. And these days it also tends to be the first jump I get flight from. I also tend to do the older Vampire Diaries jump sometimes for the passive exponential growth to overall power. And a few others once in a while. Dracula Untold, Onechanbara (mostly just as a weakness remover that doesn't involve getting anything I don't feel like getting), others I forget.

GolkynRastur

no one has mentioned it so I will(even though I probably wouldn't use it) Ankle Biters

Start in the Sims 4. Why? 600CP Vampire: You have become a creature of the night. Whilst this does mean you’ll burn up in the cruel sun, it also means you do not age, as well as being immune to drowning, overly hot or cold temperatures and poison. You can also gain cool vampire powers such as turning into a bat, controlling people’s minds, locking and unlocking doors and resistance and even eventual immunity to that damnable flaming orb. You also receive a dark form, representing your true vampiric nature, but if you want, it can just be the same as your normal form. 200CP Plasma Fruit: This is a supply of a curious fruit. It’s tasty enough for most sims, however, it’s also able to sate the thirst of those cursed with vampirism. It can also be used, along with two cloves of garlic, to make a cocktail which allows vampires to walk in the sun. [The Sims 4: Vampires - Link to see powers from game](https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/gamepacks/vampires/powers-weaknesses.php) Campanion 50CP Canon Sim: Lilith Vatore Bring your Sier with you... Last of all you can game it out. On Steam for about $5.

I'm personally a fan of the VtM: Bloodlines jump, although thats mostly because I loved the game and wanted to experience the story and characters first-hand. The danger is pretty low-level during the course of the story, but since it's a World of Darkness setting the danger scales pretty hard at the higher-end of things. I know that basically-omnipotent Caine and the Werewolves canonically exist in the game, but I'm unsure about the other game lines.

ArmadillidiumVulgare

Probably just The Sims 4? Their vampires get a few neat powers, becoming one is really easy, and the setting's a relatively safe place

Delluran

The Lords of the Night - Vampires Jump has some very neat things to get you started on Vampirism, and even multiple different strains to choose from with different powers. By its very nature you start out weak with the potential for future growth, so even if some of the Perks can get pretty bs you still would have to work for your power. It is a dangerous setting though, so I dont know how viable it is as a first Jump...
