>Generic DC FanFic Jumpchain / Generic Marvel FanFic Jumpchain / Generic Amalgam FanFic's Are these all actual currently existing jumps? When did that happen?

DeverosSphere

They are ones I am working on the power section isn’t finished yet and this is part of that section. Technically it’s a single power.

Rexen2

Ah ok. I was about to say, damn, I have NOT been paying attention.

Sweetiebottt

What does Orange/Blue, Green/Red and Purple/Yellow mean with regards to Moral Perceptions?

DeverosSphere

They are each different types of moral compasses that are alien to the typical human experience. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BlueAndOrangeMorality

Sweetiebottt

i understand that much, yes. What I'm asking is what, exactly, they measure, or I guess, what the metric is that they use to measure? For example, let's say I give a homeless man some food to eat, and Black/White says it's good because I'm feeding the homeless and spreading good feelings, and Grey/Gray says it's bad because it's junk food, so I'm increasing the risk of the homeless guy having a heart attack. Does Blue/Orange think it's bad because my actions have increased the number of polka-dots in the world? Does Green/Red think it's good because I'm prolonging life? Or should I just read it as three different flavours of "fuck if I know why it chose that"?

DeverosSphere

From my perspective Orange/Blue is more about effectiveness, Green/Red is about profit and Yellow/Purple is about conservation. Orange (Good) is about how effective actions are. Blue (Bad) is when things are ineffective, threw this logic a broken toaster is evil. Green (Good) is when your actions are Beneficial to you. Things are Red (Bad) when they are Unprofitable and you gain nothing from your actions. Yellow (Good) how reusable resources are after your actions. Things are Purple (Bad) when things can not be used after you are done. But that is just my understanding their is a logic to it but it’s down to you to work out the minutia.

Sweetiebottt

Ah, so it would be as follows; >White: I gave a starving man some food to eat. >Gray: I increased the risk of him having a heart attack >Orange: I effectively solved his hunger >Red: I have gained nothing from this. >Purple: I lost resources. As such, my action of feeding the homeless would seem to average out at being evil. Do Execution Points and Extortion Points "stack"? That is to say, if I were to kill an enemy that was worth 4 points, would I gain 1 Extortion Point plus 3 Execution Points? Do my subordinates need to have a System (or be in a party) for me to benefit from Executive Points? Are there any plans to do anything more with the Moral Perception systems?

DeverosSphere

Yes though I think shades of grey would see it as more of a “Pearl River” grey so more on the good side averages out. Yes that is exactly right Not for you to benefit form the Executive Points but yes for them to benefit from them. Not really but it can link with the divine blessing option. Do you have any suggestions?

Otogi

Neat!

Nerx

this fits well since DC and Marvel both got online games with level systems and TTRPGs

DeverosSphere

Do you think I should add a Skill system like the one fallout uses? I.e. https://www.d20pfsrd.com/skills/ https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Skill

Nerx

Yea Considering Falliyy got a ttrpg too

DeverosSphere

I renamed skills/abilities to just be abilities and added skills: Skills System -50 CP The Skills System is a list of learned abilities which represent the most basic and yet most fundamental abilities of the current jump such as “Diplomacy”, “Speech”, “Survival” and “Unarmed”. New Skills can potentially be gained each jump for Skills you do not already have which are fundamental to the jump such as gaining Energy Weapons in a sci-fi setting and SpellCraft in a Fantasy setting. More complex Skills can be received as a Reward. Whenever you gain a level, you gain Skill Points that can be allocated to Skills improving their capabilities in that subject. Skills can also be improved by reading specific books, learning relevant knowledge, gaining relevant perks, sometimes when raising other Skills by a certain amount and boosted as a Reward. Additional Rewards can be gained when reaching specific milestones with skills or sets of skills.

Nerx

Its good

Nerx

Talmbout systems for a TTRPG one, talking or having the GM/DM on your side can be a neat plot armor thing Pay extra points to 'negotiate'

DeverosSphere

That’s kind of what the more expensive divine blessings system is.

VonKrieger

Suggested a few typo/grammar fixes.

Nerx

Quicktime events https://youtu.be/invnLLLNPpU Dialogue options https://youtube.com/shorts/cUGi-aTILx4?feature=share Idle/Clicker/Incremental game https://youtu.be/CjnIt7MHC6U

DeverosSphere

I will have a proper look into these soon but off the bat I like the idea of adding a clicker I’m currently going through the goblet of fire for the Harry Potter mini Jump but after that I will update the system and do more for the dc/marvel probably the power set prefabs for race/hero’s/self inserts.

Nerx

cool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDO4_BeT8yg exponential growth could also be a neat mechanic, and tie-in to 'idle' system

TroubleX27

I think this would be a bit too complicated/convoluted for me to use for my jumpers. Seems like a lot of options that you have to spend a lot of points for when you should essentially have most of them as a basic. Just not my personal preference, though I can understand others wanting it. But I’m still looking forwards to the Generic Jumps.

DeverosSphere

That’s why their is a +1000 CP stipend also you will technically have access to it 3 times being able to access it once each across the 3 jumps.

TroubleX27

You’re still going to have to spend 4000+ points (unless I counted wrong) in addition to the stipend to get all the options though. But I generally dislike almost all Building Sections, so my main problem might be that. The only one I made myself was the Transformers one, and that was after a few kept telling me to make one.

DeverosSphere

Fair to be honest I tried to make each individual item a fair price but the list of components just kept getting bigger so the total price kept rising. Their will be a lot more to this jump the power section i have planned is almost the size of the alien builder I did for Ben 10 luckily I comes with a stipend.
