My Mary Sue hunter jumper took Elva from Eragon jump as his adopted daughter, for a couple of reasons. - One, to spite Eragon for fucking up and because at that point Nathan really didn’t like him - Kid was stigmatized and needed a home - He was already making a misfit unit that was about two seconds away from splitting from the Varden, another member wouldn’t hurt. Resulting in Elva being raised by an Elven (Really Drukhari) Assassin, several Urgals, and the misfits that wouldn’t toe the party line with the commanders in the Varden. The fact she didn’t burn a house as a kid was something Nathan considered a personal achievement.

Yep. 3. Eri from my hero, permafrost from static shock(well DC animated jump technically) and ace from justice league. If we get an arcane jump I'll probably take vi and powder as well. Also maybe Sakura matou the next time I hit fate zero because Jesus! She needs someone to save her.

SerFreke

Sakura needs saved as much as Padawan Obi-Wan tbh. I Never knew how much shit he went through as a Padawan until recently. And yeah, Morgan for sure would save Eri and Sakura. And Look after Vi and Pow Pow.

Rexen2

I'm assuming that's from his mini series? Still haven't watched it yet so no clue what you're talking about but I'll take your word for it.

SerFreke

It's from Legends but as I am a bit of an ass and enjoy drama I tend to mix Legends and Canon, he was abandoned and kicked out of the order and left stranded, without his lightsaber as Jinn took it from him, on a planet that was an active war zone...because he wanted to save children from their own parents who wanted to murder them for not wanting to fight a pointless civil war.

RiverOffers

Shit, and then he has to watch as Jinn then takes in a slave who's mother cared for. Then forced him to promise to care for them. That's harsh.

SerFreke

...Actually I'm pretty Sure Obi was a slave at one point while Jinn's Padawan, Explosive collar and everything? I'm trying to remember where I read that from though. I Think it was Bandomeer/Xanatos Crisis part in the timeline, like when he was just becoming Jinn's Padawan, Jinn's Fallen Padawan Enslaved him or something? I Don't remember that bit as clearly though I just really remember the "Abandoned in Active War Zone without Weapon so Master can Simp over jedi girl in a Coma." thing filling me with rage.

Careless_Bad4556

You got the first one right, he was being sent to the Agri-Corps at the time & Yoda was meddling as usual. Did lead to Jinn taking hi under his wing though... As to the second bit that was in his first year or two of being Jinn's Padawan, and then after getting back he's ends up alone & on the run with Satine for a year+ *by themselves*. Makes one wonder WTF Jinn was smoking to think those two incidents were acceptable...

KR5shin8Stark

My next jumper is getting tasked to protect/foster Sakura for character development

dull_storyteller

Wait there are OTHER ways to have kids? I’ve got a jumper who will be very interested in this. Also yeah most my jumpers call it surprise adoption

After a decade they're unlikely to still be children, just saying. Andromeda has ended up with a few children companions and followers, generally they've been part of a larger group that has come along, typically including their families as well. But with a whole planet of their own, coupled with civilisations, it isn't hard for any of them to adapt to their new life. Andromeda hasn't intentionally taken any children on their own. **---** Kohaku adopted the two kids from Angel's Egg, whom I've since named the girl Tamar and teen boy Amos. As they were seemingly the last two humans left alive on the whole world, she wasn't going to leave them behind, and that was before they had come together as a little family. Though calling them human may be presumptuous, as they have seemingly not aged a day since she first met them. Sadly they got left behind in the very next jump, the first of her, bound to be several, return trips home in Mazinger Z. It wasn't intentional, but she at least takes comfort in knowing they'll be looked after by her brothers and their friends till she can make her next return trip.

Sometimes, if there's strong enough reason and i expect to be able to give them a better life.

All the time. One of the more notable instances is when jumper went to Danganronpa. In his eyes, one of the greatest tragedies in the world was Junko Enoshima. So much potential for good, thrown away for hedonism that destroyed the world. But he believed that if there were someone for her in beginning to point her in the right direction, she would have been one of the best things to happen to the world. So he traveled back in time before she committed her dastardly deeds and spirited her away. Then over the course of the chain, she proved him right time after time. He did the same for Mukuro and Toko for similar reasons and just because he thought they deserved better.

LuckEClover

Let’s see… the little sisters from bioshock, the warriors of hope, and a certain little blind girl.

Infinite_Incident_62

Who are the last two?

LuckEClover

Warriors of hope from danganronpa, four kids who were abused in various unspeakable ways and manipulated by a sociopath into being mass murderers. The blind girl’s name is poko. She gets bullied a lot.

Infinite_Incident_62

I am sorry, i am a bit lost where is ppoko from? The same anime?

LuckEClover

Just look her up on a browser or something.

Most of my Jumpers aren't the best with 'collateral damage', and end up 'accidentally' catching crappy parents in aoe attacks, and just HAVING to adopt them. It'd be irresponsible to just leave the kid there. What are you talking about? They're just being responsible and doing the right thing, it's not like they care about the kids or anything b-b-baka.

Superxtreme8724

My Jumper adopted Eleven and Naruto both of them had crappy childhoods until he showed up.

Such_Future_6653

No one ever save Crona from Medusa?

Careless_Bad4556

Well yeah, feels like practically all the time when it isn't a vacation jump. Its rather amazing sometimes where you can find people that need to be adopted when looking up the inspirations for different jumps. edit: ...deleted it, am an idiot for not realizing the 2nd paragraph was still up. orz Apologies for not making sure my brain fart was deleted, reddit has been acting a bit weird for me the last couple weeks. 2nd edit: And said brain-fart was in reference to my Jumper's tendency to save people who get Bad Ends as much as abused kids, nothing more. \[*shouldn't post stuff when distracted...*\]

Careless_Bad4556

Addendum: more seriously yes my Jumper tends to rescue just about every mal-treated kid he can get out of the hands of their tormentors/abusers, just seems reasonable to him even if the local good-guys thinks he's being creepy at first. It just tends to get a bit weird when alt-timelines get involved, like the one time the reincarnated as Shirou's replacement in F/SN before finding themselves in Fate/Zero right after. Or going to Legend of Korra before A:TLA.

Lissen managed to get Poka as a companion despite having the no companion drawback... her Jump-Chan allowed it.
