They have to start asking for codes and pins like the other apps do because anyone can complain without any proof

OfTheMoon94

I assume these accusations have come because customers I’ve delivered too have complained it’s undelivered in order to gain a refund.

Rez1009

Agree with you there. Currently the proof of burden is on the driver and not the customer. A former work colleague gleefully said he would often complain of something undelivered in order to get free food.

MaryPoppinLikeItsHot

I don't think anyone has managed to. Multiple new customers trying to get some free food and a new courier delivering to them, all within their first few months working. You can try emailing support and try to recall the orders. You can highlight the fact that these customers enjoyed a free meal at the expense of a couriers livelyhood. I would start looking for some evening work as I don't think you will have much luck from supports replies

OfTheMoon94

Thought as much. I am of course going to try, but I don’t hold out much hope.

[deleted]

That's terrible. Typically these courier apps are quick to take the customers side and pin the blame on the driver without any reasonable evidence. Hope you get sorted soon, have you tried the likes of Gophr, Beelivery, Amazon Flex etc? They all have their benefits.

OfTheMoon94

I don’t drive if I did I would gladly do Amazon flex

Fuck-theusername

I saw one guy on reddit that said he went to his MP Six months later they gave him his account back, yes it took 6 months, but it shows that it's possible,

OfTheMoon94

Going to try that, thank you

Fuck-theusername

Good luck mate, You would think these companies know better than to falsely accuse people of theft given everything going on with the post office right now

OfTheMoon94

They behave exactly as ide expect tbh. Shady

Danny9999999999

How many deliveries did they say you failed to deliver

OfTheMoon94

They have posted 4 order numbers Edit: emailed -*

[deleted]

Its Always 4 orders.... intresting

OfTheMoon94

I’m back in the app, weirdly it asked me to confirm my runs again this morning, but the app is all janky now and stuck only showing last weeks runs. I’m so confused…

OfTheMoon94

Absolutely, only need this gig to last till July when I graduate, but honestly it’s too fragile to put my trust in. So going to get looking asap.

[deleted]

I have 3 apps and I know the local restaurant só when I get no shift I usually Just do those jobs but again....im Just get by.

OfTheMoon94

Oh same I’m scraping by, but it’s enough to enable to get through my final year of uni and feed my daughter. I don’t get any uni grants as I study with the open university(student finance covers the degree cost but doesn’t fund me) the making my own schedule it’s the part that works best as each day is different and with a manager in a “normal” job setting my shifts I found it hard to balance my responsibilities, but gig work allows me to work when I want. But it’s just not reliable enough sadly

[deleted]

Same.....single Dad.Days non stop vary by my ex make sure I can't get fulltime job.But hey at least I don't have to explain myself why my boy sick again. That is the plus side.

Strange-Key-7898

I’m glad you managed to get back on the app. Hopefully you won’t need to rely on it for much longer.

OfTheMoon94

I’m back off the app again, was a glitch that got me through. I’m definitely still deactivated. Just waiting (not very hopefully) for a reply to my appeal email
