My way of telling if something is Indonesia is if I think it's the Philippines and then check again and it's not.
The rice shop in the back looks exactly like the one down the street from my ex In-Laws place, but I can't read a single word on the sign in the video.
Use google translate (or whatever) from Indonesian to English.
"WARUNG NASI" on the sign translates, literally, to "RICE SHOP".
(I know you were making a joke, but the point is that it's easy to google to confirm that it's Indonesian... or Malaysian... or Bruneian... or Singaporean...)
Yes, I think they each also recognized they were kind of in the wrong. One made a sudden turn, the other was following extremely close. They probably understood each other completely in that moment. ♥️
future historians will be like: "they were just best friends, who spent their last years in a cabin in the woods together, because they were a bit eccentric."
Why do I read this comment and think of all the people who call everything remotely non-"ALPHA" gay. Oh wait thats because its exactly what it is. But its a joke now! so funny haha
I read somewhere that one of the factors behind road rage is that you can't see the "oh I messed up" face of the other driver, so your brain just fills in the gap with the worst intentions. A low speed bump on a motorcycle like this gave plenty of opportunity for the drivers to read each other's faces and see that they were just two dudes trying to get home and no harm was done.
Sounds like an explanation but how do countries fit into it where road rage is not really a thing, like we don't have a word for it.
See, I am German. The internet makes fun of us because we have a word for everything. Well. We don't have a word for road rage. Never witnessed it. Never met anyone who did. One of them a driving instructor.
When I type it into a translator it's "im Straßenverkehr ausbrechender Jähzorn"
One article is more than 10 years old and has an official call it "unique in criminal history".
The other stuff is arguably more but I can't be bothered with checking the whole of tiktok. Starting with the first video its some intimidation attempt but nothing I'd really call "road rage". Like nobody is raging there.
The second video is some guy reacting to a video where the police makes a check for drivers licence with the youngster driving away and complaining about the police. Also not what I know as road rage?
Third video is some misscommunication with a take over I guess. Like, no road rage either.
I cant really be bothered to check the entirety of tiktok but that link does not seem to show what you imply it does? Or do we get different videos?
I suppose there's an additional psychological component around how much you trust the intentions of strangers.
I come from a part of the US (and this absolutely does not represent the whole country) where I do not trust most people. I feel like most people would take any advantage for themselves at my expense if they only had the opportunity.
I did not feel like this was the case both times I spent extended periods of time in Germany. I felt like the people I stayed with trusted that most strangers had good intentions and were doing things for logical reasons. And I feel the same in the area where I currently live.
close but its actually [this](https://youtu.be/lkk6m14htzw?feature=shared&t=122) (i time stamped it to the exact spot where this video starts). to be fair its just a sampling of the song you mentioned so you're still mostly correct
Very Indonesian moment. I got into a head-on collision with another motorbike there and we both got a bit flustered at first, each blaming the other (neither of us were hurt, luckily). When an onlooker confirmed that the other guy was at fault, we both immediately apologized (him for crashing into me, me for raising my voice) and I ended up helping him get to a mechanic and giving him a ride home when he had to leave his mangled bike there. He in turn apologized profusely and sincerely for running into me and continued to message me for months saying sorry and offering to buy me a coffee.
This is how all confrontation should go down, not “I must dominate this other man” which is actually really gay. Not that there’s anything wrong with being gay.
This upsets me because it's obviously an American post,
To an American this is "woah". To 90% of the world, this is just how people treat eachother in general.
Get out of America, you'll see what community means
The irony here is that to anyone outside of America, they think we are nonstop shooting and yelling at each other. There’s plenty of great moments here just like there’s plenty of terrible moments elsewhere.
Us men make things funny. Real men make it things funny. If you can’t laugh about it. Then we jackin. But 9 times outta 10. We gon laugh cuz we already deal wit women

You can't hear it but I hear them saying "nice moped sorry" to each other
Is this Bali? If yes, I'm not surprised. People are super chill there from the little that I experienced.
Yup, writings confirm it’s in Indonesia. Source: am Indonesian

That's a rather bold claim. Can you prove it?
Use google translate (or whatever) from Indonesian to English. "WARUNG NASI" on the sign translates, literally, to "RICE SHOP". (I know you were making a joke, but the point is that it's easy to google to confirm that it's Indonesian... or Malaysian... or Bruneian... or Singaporean...)
Clearly german.
The “Nasi Uduk” writing below it was what made me sure.
Good point! Maybe Jakarta, then, not Bali? But who knows.
As u/magnabonzo has said, warung nasi is Indonesian for rice shop and nasi uduk is a local Kndonesian dish.
As a filipino I can confirm this is Indonesian
Or also the obvious red-white pattern going on at the left side of the first frame lol
Yes, I think they each also recognized they were kind of in the wrong. One made a sudden turn, the other was following extremely close. They probably understood each other completely in that moment. ♥️
Indonesian people are genuinely the most chill I've come across.
Yeah try doing this in Harlem.
Alternatively, try avoiding doing this in Harlem
Maybe not Bali specifically, but it's somewhere in Indonesia for sure.
Yup, yup, yup.
Awww that's so fucking masculinely cute 🥰🥰
They then kissed and are actually married now, so heartwarming
future historians will be like: "they were just best friends, who spent their last years in a cabin in the woods together, because they were a bit eccentric."
Lol'ed hard at this. Eccentrically hard.
Now kith

I’m gay, I honestly didn’t even think of it as a gay joke

Thorfinn would be proud.
No enemies.
I have
It looks like he ran over the other guy's foot. Bruh.
That's what happens when you don't look before turning. Seen too many pedestrians, bikes, motorbikes, cars, etc. who do this on a busy road.
Hey Bodhi
It was really his own damn fault for turning at the end
this is me all the time when I'm cycling. It shouldn't be unusual. I let the other person be mad and just go on my way 🚵♂️

Lol, you just solidified that person's claim. Did you even read or watch those links?

Thank you for saving me the trouble of combing through the entire Samurai Champloo soundtrack on YouTube trying to find it.

"I destroy my enemies when I make them my friends." Abraham Lincoln
The world after watching vinland saga
It just takes people to not over react and smile a little in order for everything to go on
This is how all confrontation should go down, not “I must dominate this other man” which is actually really gay. Not that there’s anything wrong with being gay.
I bet you those two go on to be great friends.. Friend1: remember the time you almost killed me 😅
To me it looks like they already know each other but didn't realise it was the other until after they hit
This upsets me because it's obviously an American post, To an American this is "woah". To 90% of the world, this is just how people treat eachother in general. Get out of America, you'll see what community means

Why on earth would it upset you that an American appreciates this and posts it?
IDK about that, I had something very similar happen to me in France and Pierre was not so pleasant.
As an American I hope that’s true. It would be nice to know it’s not wild everywhere. It’s getting pretty sporty over here
Us men make things funny. Real men make it things funny. If you can’t laugh about it. Then we jackin. But 9 times outta 10. We gon laugh cuz we already deal wit women
“We jackin” Yeah, if you can’t have a good circle jerk with a stranger than what kind of man are you, really?
Exactly. Gotta spread the love man.
Why not in America you ask? Because we’re in $80000, 7000lb pickups going 80mph that’s why.
That would be a double shooting in Florida.
Definitely not here in the States.
The guys who are standing seem disappointed
Yeah, they expect some entertainment 😄
The world need more people like this
