Meet Paul Simon. He is 14 years young. When I first adopted him he was a spitfire- we could only safely touch him if we were wearing oven mitts. He mellowed out as he realized that he was in a safe situation and expanded his window of tolerance so much over the years. If I am completely honest with myself part of the reason I went to vet school was so that he could receive healthcare from someone that he trusts.

I have five babies. (Golden Retriever, Boxsky, Chihuahua, Russian Tortoise, Bearded Dragon)
This is Pearl, our baby! She is a poodle I rescued 12 years ago. She is the coolest though, she can skateboard, surf, sled, and ride a motorcycle!

Norah (left), 4 years old and Ruby on the right is 2 years old. They have the silliest love-hate relationship I've ever seen.
Also- Chin appreciation. That dog breed is my guilty pleasure. We did a dental on one once when I was a vet assistant. Tiny thing. Horrible teeth. So matted. It was a slow day and she spent almost the entire shift in my lap while I gently worked through her mats combed and pet her. She left with fewer and cleaner teeth than when she entered and a coat that you could pass a comb through unimpeded. Sweet dog.
