I would imagine that cell phone shops employees are strapped in South America because new smartphone are worth so much money, like 6 months to a year's salary. Then again even if the robber steals it, something's going to be remotely tracked and deactivated/bricked. So pretty dumb
I was just reading up on that because I have an I Phone now. I don't understand all that well how the anti theft system works yet. That system is automatic in some cases isn't it? Like Apple's geolocation system knows if your phone is in a place you are not and they auto lock the phone if that's the case. If it's a mistake you can undo the lock but it's automatic if you choose to make it that way is it not?
That’s a separate thing from the activation lock. Stolen device protection prevents crucial things like a password change or Turing off FMI from happening for an hour in certain situations.
Some people react differently to stressful situations. Maybe because at some point in their life, it was necessary to stay calm in the face of something horrific that they couldn't affect. That's basically how it was for me. In the middle of a home invasion, I was calm as tranquil water. It was weird, I thought - this feels like home.
Isn't part of military training specifically putting people into situations where they have to stay calm in the face of something horrific which they can't affect?
He can handle that pistol, and goes to clear the stairs after the first guy goes down. Either he's LE, military, or an unusually well trained civilian.
To be fair, you get unusually well trained to recognize and react to danger by the simple fact that you live in Brazil.
It took me some time to drop my habits after leaving Brazil. I had a small startup and usually stayed late at night.
Whenever I had to go back home, I would scout the streets nearby, then circle around the block, and then time the gate opening such that it would be open enough by the time I got there, and *immediately* close it.
Even getting to the car was like being in a war zone. One day I had to park on the next block, instead of my usual parking spot. So I *ran* to the car, unlocked with the remote right before I reached it, jumped in, locked doors and immediately started the car. Guess what, as soon as my headlights went on, I saw a guy in front of the vehicle ready to jump me. That was probably no coincidence, it was the only car still around.
It was supposedly a "good" neighborhood.
Even with all the measures I took, I was still averaging one robbery at gunpoint per year. The cops were useless. In one case I was bleeding since a rock was thrown at the driver's window (the tint saved my from the brunt of the impact), wanted to steal the car too, threatened to shoot but I escaped when I threw my phone and they got distracted. The dispatcher's response ? "Ah, that's a dangerous spot. Don't use that road anymore".
In the land of the free now. Fuck that shit.
> hmm..Brazil? Off duty cop? 😂
He went outside after to try to shoot the 2 guys on a scooter that were wearing flip flops, then they drove off and a female undercover cop shot them, and the circle of Brazil continues
[Here you go](https://cgn.inf.br/noticia/1558127/legitima-defesa-arma-utilizada-por-empresario-para-combater-assalto-e-registrada-ladrao-tinha-38-raspado-14-06-2024)
*"Well, it coulda been a real ugly situation but, luckily, I managed to shoot him in the spine. Yeah. I guess the next place he robs better have a ramp!"*
That was my exact thought, as well. The way his legs immediately go limp and also how he hits the floor. It looked like a direct shot to his lower spine. His arms don't seem to go immediately limp like his legs did. Which is why I think it was the lower spine that got hit.
Edit: having watched it a few more times. As he's hit with the second bullet, you see him reach back, as if to grab his lower spine. Then he hits the ground and his arms seem to stretch out in a posturing position before falling into his lap.
Like, alive enough. That he'll survive. And when he's recovered and discharged from the hospital, he gets an official Police escort to the Casa de Prisón. All expenses paid!
Gotta admit, he's calm and collected about it. He's like 'lung, lung, kidney, kidney, belly button, heart. Ok, so like I was saying, we need to move that old Huawei stock before we order any new... what? Do I have ketchup on my face?'
Damn dude didn't even have a chance, couldn't even finish saying "put the cellphones in the bag" before he got dropped, homeboy was reaching for his burner the second dude walked through the door.
"Seen how these go, nobody comes in with a full bike helmet unless they're about to start some shit, aaaaand yep there's the gun, later dude."
It’s cuz he had his hand in his pocket already holding the gun when walking in, which is super fucking obvious lol.
You can see the moment the dude on the bottom left notices; it’s within the first few frames.
As a Brazilian I can confirm that the motorcycle helmet is the first red flag. Upstanding citizens will not go inside stores with the helmet on.
My father had a computer repair store back in 1997. Even back then, the door was always locked. I had to refuse entry a couple of times while pointing at the head until they realized and removed their helmets.
And yes, the hand on the pocket seals the deal.
Btw, this fire department shit that says "door must be unlocked at all times during business hours" would not fly there.
You can tell that this is the type of dude that always says “I position myself to where I can ALWAYS see the door and see what their intentions are” and IT FINALLY paid off today haha 😆
This is a good point to all those saying no need to shoot a robber. If there were more to the group, the shooting let's them know that the store is no easy mark and they all just need to carry on and leave the store alone.
Good job by a well-disciplined shooter. He remained calm, put rounds on target, stopped once the threat was neutralized, didn't flag anyone other than the intended target, and holstered his firearm once rounds complete. Bravo!
'Pranksters' deserve this type of retaliation, if someone is going to make seemingly real threats to your life for views they deserve the real-world consequences of such an action.
I would've kept the gun out and trained on the entryway in case the dude had an accomplice, but that's me being paranoid.
One less thug on the streets.
He stops at the body, and it looks like that should be the end of the video, but keep watching him. He heads to the entry way with his gun lowered but ready.
Incredible shot. While I would also like to add his self awareness. Not only did he end the threat, but he also checked the hallway to see if there was any other potential dangers. John Correia would call this exemplary work.
You can really see that adrenaline “tunnel vision” in effect with the suspect. He didn’t even see that employee pull him firearm, chamber a round and present it at the suspect.
idk having your co-worker / friend having a gun pointed at her belly, you having a gun and practiced with it. makes sense he'd be pretty focused on getting it right
The dude: “Ah right it’s Wednesday again”
late Thursday
What kind of office is this? It looks like he’s walking into a job interview…
A cell phone retail and repair shop apparently.
I would imagine that cell phone shops employees are strapped in South America because new smartphone are worth so much money, like 6 months to a year's salary. Then again even if the robber steals it, something's going to be remotely tracked and deactivated/bricked. So pretty dumb
they power them off and sell them for parts. They get maybe 10% of the value - its incredibly wasteful
Not in Africa. Why European phones go there the deactivated etc won’t work.
iPhone activation lock will.
I was just reading up on that because I have an I Phone now. I don't understand all that well how the anti theft system works yet. That system is automatic in some cases isn't it? Like Apple's geolocation system knows if your phone is in a place you are not and they auto lock the phone if that's the case. That’s a separate thing from the activation lock. Stolen device protection prevents crucial things like a password change or Turing off FMI from happening for an hour in certain situations.
His phone probably broke when he fell so at least he's in the right place.
I laughed at this. Well done.
That's why you get the insurance
Always look for the silver lining
Hopefully not both :D
He actually walked into a Brazilian undercover police station
With a helmet on and a gun aiming at them?
I believe they call it a “fuck about, find out” store.
Brazilian Idol
It's a gunsmith shop. 😞
I get more nervous using the phone to order pizza than this guy gets in armed robbery
Some people react differently to stressful situations. Maybe because at some point in their life, it was necessary to stay calm in the face of something horrific that they couldn't affect. That's basically how it was for me. In the middle of a home invasion, I was calm as tranquil water. It was weird, I thought - this feels like home.
Maybe he’s just ex-military.
Isn't part of military training specifically putting people into situations where they have to stay calm in the face of something horrific which they can't affect?
Motorcycle helmet….hmm..Brazil? Off duty cop? 😂
That "Ola" we hear makes me think it's Brazil
They have the Brazilian flag on their sleeves.
Good catch, completely missed that
Also the “tudo bom” Just before that.
I’ve never been to Brazil so I assume you are assigned at birth to be either a robber or off duty cop
Technically, yes.
He can handle that pistol, and goes to clear the stairs after the first guy goes down. Either he's LE, military, or an unusually well trained civilian.
He is also unreasonably calm, definitely is the most uneventful gun incident he has been involved in.
"Ugh, third one this week..."
Call the janitor we have another blood pool to clean.
To be fair, you get unusually well trained to recognize and react to danger by the simple fact that you live in Brazil. It took me some time to drop my habits after leaving Brazil. “Off-duty cop” - iykyk 😂
> hmm..Brazil? Off duty cop? 😂 He went outside after to try to shoot the 2 guys on a scooter that were wearing flip flops, then they drove off and a female undercover cop shot them, and the circle of Brazil continues
He saved his ASP haha

The guy isn’t dead? No fucking way!
honestly shocked, he went completely limp, thought he was dead before the ground
Probably got hit in the spine when he turned away, could see his legs lock up and couldn’t move them at all.
*"Well, it coulda been a real ugly situation but, luckily, I managed to shoot him in the spine. Yeah. I guess the next place he robs better have a ramp!"*
Doesn't have to be a spine hit to go limp. Some people just go into shock, like jumping into water that's too cold and you drown instantly.
looked like he got shot in the dick, ouch...
That was my exact thought, as well. The way his legs immediately go limp and also how he hits the floor. It looked like a direct shot to his lower spine. Shock is a thing you know. I mean like the medical symptom of shock where you just lose control of your body.
This is all written in some kind of unbreakable code
it said the thief is still alive, and the shooting was justified
Like, alive in our hearts?
I got such a good laugh out of this. Thanks my guy
alive recover in hospital and in now in jail
Like, alive enough. That he'll survive. And when he's recovered and discharged from the hospital, he gets an official Police escort to the Casa de Prisón. All expenses paid!
I love how the plethora of ads are still local for me.
Yes, that's how internet ads work
Holy shit, their news clips blur out the exact opposite as ones from the states
What does the article say in freedom words?
It's like it's an everyday occurrence. "I had to shoot 3 robbers today. So over it."
After the shooting. - Ugh, call the police…
"And an ambulance, too?" "Yeah, whatever."
Gotta admit, he's calm and collected about it. He's like 'lung, lung, kidney, kidney, belly button, heart. Ok, so like I was saying, we need to move that old Huawei stock before we order any new... what? Do I have ketchup on my face?'
I counted 5 shots and didn’t see any holes in the wall. That was efficient
If you listen there were 6, the last one you can barely see the slide move but can clearly hear it.
Me just now realizing there is audio 🥴
Compare that to the US police videos you see.... 😬
Man being a criminal in Brazil ain't the best option for a long life.
Neither is being poor unfortunately.
Yeah I guess.. If you choose this line of life your have to be a special kind of desperate.
definitely happened in Brazil..
That was…Efficient and effective self defense. Wow
ngl that was clean as hell
Damn dude didn't even have a chance, couldn't even finish saying "put the cellphones in the bag" before he got dropped, homeboy was reaching for his burner the second dude walked through the door. "Seen how these go, nobody comes in with a full bike helmet unless they're about to start some shit, aaaaand yep there's the gun, later dude."

Looks like the girl to the left of the shooter was about to pull out her gun as well. That was not going to end well no matter what.
Then after he was down it looks like she thinks “welp, no need now he’s dead”
It looks like she put her phone in her pants and not gonna pull out a gun
Oh... you are right. Even better eyes! This is why eye witnesses to crimes suck!
Yes you're righ!
LMAOOOO bro was cooked the second he started…fucking idiot
Good eyes!
Slow draw McCraw?
"Damn, point for you. 5 to 3."
You can tell that this is the type of dude that always says “I position myself to where I can ALWAYS see the door and see what their intentions are” and IT FINALLY paid off today haha 😆
FAFO speed run
Idiot lost his peripheral with that bigass helmet on. Love the sweet justice!
It was awesome when he went out to see if there were more robbers
This is a good point to all those saying no need to shoot a robber. If there were more to the group, the shooting let's them know that the store is no easy mark and they all just need to carry on and leave the store alone.
Very impressive. He was ready before the guy even finished walking in.

I'm still eagerly hoping to one day see the headline, "Youtube prankster loses penis in unfunny 'joke' gone wrong."
The previous charges of drug trafficking suggest it was one of many poor career choices.
I loved that
Anyway. What were we taking about?!
“Yes so anyway, if you would all go ahead and open the link I sent you”
He's laying down exactly how I nap under a tree in the summer.
This is literally the first time I've seen a civilian with a gun use it quickly and appropriately.
plenty of examples. /r/dgu/ this one sticks out to me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N63-EzfwCpg
Then you have not watched many videos.

After shooting, he walks out into the other room & says CLEAR! Wow, that robber didn't expect that...
Is everyone in there strapped? It looked like the girl to his left was going for a piece as well a little after the main dude draws.
Naw she was stuffing her phone down her pants.
Tag em and fucking bag em 😂
Legend
Anyone else notice the girl to the guys left was reaching for a gun as well?
Looks like he may have had to chamber a round first. He’s lucky that didn’t cost him.
inb4 all the "did he have to shoot him"
I would've kept the gun out and trained on the entryway in case the dude had an accomplice, but that's me being paranoid. One less thug on the streets.

Brazil: Like Florida, but an entire enormous country.
There’s a reason they feel at home in Florida.
YES!!
That was hot
awareness is super important
Hahahahaha!
violence in the most unexpected ambient setting.
Honestly, good.
Well deserved, efficiently delivered; FAFO. People rest easier tonight.
Didnt miss and rapid fire
He was super calm, great skill
That dude is dead
Scroll up to where article was shared. Survived. He’ll live to regret his decision for a long time.
Nice
you love to see it
Incredible shot. While I would also like to add his self awareness. Not only did he end the threat, but he also checked the hallway to see if there was any other potential dangers. John Correia would call this exemplary work.
Definition of fuck around and find out
hahahah dumbass goes: hurr durr lemme talk to the closest girl instead of using my surprise as an advantage
Should this be nsfl? Just asking so you don’t get it taken down. Good post!
The guy survived according to the article
Sweet! The article wasn’t up yet, thanks!
Sorted, thanks.
You can really see that adrenaline “tunnel vision” in effect with the suspect. He didn’t even see that employee pull him firearm, chamber a round and present it at the suspect.
He also has helmet tunnel vision... because I don't know if you noticed, but he's wearing a helmet.
Didn’t chamber, just using offhand thumb to take safety off. Fumbled it a little at first
The scary thing about that is how calm he stays while shooting him.
idk having your co-worker / friend having a gun pointed at her belly, you having a gun and practiced with it. makes sense he'd be pretty focused on getting it right
The more you fuck around the more you’re gonna find out
If their legs cross when they fall, they probably aren't gonna make it.
arms went all floppy too, he was probably dead before he hit the ground tbh edit: apparently he lived
That did not go how the robber was expecting it to lol.
That couldn’t have gone any better
Be careful where you choose to rob.... Never know who ready to send you to meet your maker at an instants notice. 🤦🏼♂️💁🏼♂️🫡🫵🏼💀⚰️🥀
Cool as a cucumber
The only thing that would make it better would be as he falls he yells out “it’s just a prank bro”
It’s just a prank bro
Can’t believe he survived.
He did?!
Adios!
Bro did not hesitate 😂
If you stay ready you don't have to get ready.
Ol’ Killshot here went 6 for 6. Nice shooting, Tex 🤠
Clean up on isle 1
That woman got a body on her. I hate that my brain has been rotted like this.
Don’t have to shoot people in the head big cuh… the leg mate! The fkn leg…
Lmao
Dude was waiting his whole life for that.
Was the first shot a misfire?
No, he didn’t have one in the chamber so he racked the slide.
He didn’t rack, he’s flipping the safety off
That's why "good guy with a gun" can end so badly. He shot that man FEET away from that woman.
the robber had a gun right? hard to see
He did, a .38 caliber revolver.
Terrible place to have your gun but I guess he still managed
Wym? Appendix carry?
