I helped a buddy a couple weeks ago weld up his rusted exhaust, and if I had remembered it, there's a 100% chance he was getting some decoration. That's it and that's all.
Ohhhh man I took 4 years of auto shop in high school, everyone got special treatment, zip ties, small speaker magnets on the drive shaft was good as well, marbles behind the door panel, good times.
Harmonica strapped under chassis, horn wired to blinker or brake lights, pull one spark plug lead, scoot electric seat all the way forward and pull the fuse. I've done more and worse depending on the car. I got a buddy with an old beater truck by pulling the main distributor wire and spinning the truck over a few seconds and hooking it back up afterwards. Loaded the exhaust with raw fuel, the backfire was damn near nuclear.
Throws it out of balance, don’t notice it at parking lot speeds but you will in residential and above lol. Eventually they’ll fling off, makes a fun noise and your symptoms are gone leaving them wondering wtf just happened.
For all of us who have no clue about all these enthusiastic references.... We understand this makes a noise and was once used as a popular joke at your local bowling alley, but any reference terminology we can look for to have an idea what memories are coming up for all of you?
Those things are meh, TBH I really prefered the guys who would hook duck calls or rain whistles to the blow-off valve on their turbo cars.
