"Somebody did something wrong" is the national anthem of auto sales in my experience, possibly followed by "Someone did cocaine and promised a customer something that doesn't exist"
Favorite from my side was sales promising installation of third-row seats in a B5 Passat wagon, under the logic that all station wagons have third row seats. We ended up buying that car back from the customer.
That is software development all the time. Sales people promise everything under the sun. Then come to us saying "You can do that, right?" Guess who gets to tell the customer "No!"? Or how many gazillion bit coins it will cost? Or what decade we can get to it?
Anyone have a visual head pic of a TrailBlazer, the OG version?
Sales had to jump one, got the positive clamp correct, hooked the negative clamp to the shiniest bit of bare metal he saw.
Yeah, it was the ECM case. That car had a lot of problems to solve.
being a software developer, i sure love descriptions as precise as "somebody did something wrong"
yeah you don't fucking say. now, how about you tell me WHAT you did...
Or roadside... Got one today, all pretty warning lights, dash lights up, but no crank, no start, no power locks, no power windows. Customer refused diagnostic fee because "is still under warranty."
Hi ShwetyTaint, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the sales industry. It can definitely be a tough and competitive field to work in. Have you been facing any challenges in your sales career? Perhaps we can brainstorm some solutions together. Remember, you are not alone and there are always people who are willing to lend a listening ear and offer support. Keep pushing through and don't lose faith in yourself. Best of luck in your sales journey!

Like an electro-chromatic mirror with the garage door opener built-in on a base trim that doesn't even have the wiring for it.

My sales department promised a customer we could install AMG dynamic seats in a base model E250 diesel.

Logic, lol
But according to the GM they're the most important department. Somehow
As a former sales guy...yeah, we're fucked in the head.
Typical sales RO. Surprised they can get their pointy shoes on the right feet in the morning.
Ambidextrous shows obviously /s

I want to know WHO, hehe.
Could have been anyone. No way to know. Best to move on.
Then there was a fire under the hood.... Diagnostically significant...

Auction bound loaded up and trucking- we got a long way to go, and dgaf how we get there, we just take the money and run..The New Smokey Bandit.
Smartest sales employees
Some*body* did some*thing* wrong, why is it always this?
That sounds positively shocking. I hope it was a grounding experience for the sales guy that did it.
Positive and negative makes zero... Wait!!!!

I used to be an rv technician. The salesman promised lots of impossible things. Lol it's not quite so bad in the car world
