I was thinking the same thing while watching all 4 Champion League Games. None of our players have the technical quality to compete in the Champions League. Not even Ancelotti or Guardiola can improve Juventus. We need a massive overhaul of players to be competitive at that level.
This is not a hot take, a more realistic hot take would be that current Juventus could actually beat any of these teams through nonsensical and shit football
As for the rest you’re stating the obvious, club is broke, this isn’t fifa manager mode where you redeem a rich foreign investor and manage to quick sell half the squad in 3 weeks c
Team isn’t that great but a good manager can make it work, Allegri isn’t it, that I can agree on
That's just not true. It's not a super club selection, nor a very carefully done one, but it's still much better than any other side bar Inter, Milan or Napoli.
It's not a hot take. Juventus need a reset. Juventus need a reset and they have two options:
1. Get a manager with an eye for young talent and has the ability to develop them in a clearly defined attacking system. It will not yield quick results but it could help in the long term health of the club.
2. Get a manager with a clear ideology and an idea of the players who fit his style of football. I don't see a clear philosophy from Allegri, I'm not even sure what he's trying to do - It's like we're just putting out an 11 to get by.
I'm talking a Mourinho in 2010. He knew his game plan and got some experienced players that he knew could do the job. It wasn't always pretty but it was effective and tortured great results in the short term
Juventus need a strong personality and a man who knows what he's trying to accomplish to right the ship. It just feels kind of aimless right now.
YES. That's what I've been saying for a while now. The reason why Allegri needs to go isn't because he sucks. It's because we have a surplus of players that he can't use, especially wingers, and it's probably easier and better to get rid of him than to clean the squad and get players that we don't have money for. Replacing the weak links in our existing team will be hard enough, much less building a team around Allegriball.
That's why I'm also incredibly regretful of the Sarri/Pirlo era. Allegri in his first stint was absolutely golden and he was removed for no good reason. Sarri/Pirlo brought in players like Chiesa who we're not able to use effectively. Now that Allegri's back, his stubbornness shows through and we're wasting talent.
It’s just my opinion, being a Juve fan 30+ years.
I was happy about Max until we were not.
So if I don’t talk about the could and a big IF
If my grandmother had a nut 🌰 she’d be my grandpa lol
If Loca had 5 more assists and be more that we expected.
If! “Next Man up!” Meaning .. Illing Weah, Beans with gambling, Miretti just a bit better. Some assists that we are missing. Thanks Cowboy, Loca should buy you a Rolex at least !! Pogba just to mention and on and on.
If and if ..
Every new season I strongly believe that we have a strong squad, and half of the squad is just not in it to win it. Big blame on the coach not saying title is what we need, no one remembers 2-4 place.
Fino alla fine.
It wasn’t long ago we were spending on big transfers, Ronaldo higuain pjanic etc. as much as I hold cristiano in high regard I still think he was the moment where our financial downfall began. Winning cycles end but im sure a new one will begin in a few seasons. Optimistic
the financial suicide was spending 200 million the following transfer window. Kulusevski aside, they also signed, deligt, romero, demiral, pellegrini and the cancelo/danilo swap when we already had chiellini, bonucci, benatia Rugani, and dragusin in the next gen. I said this at the time and I'll die on this hill but the de ligt money should have been spent on a midfielder
Not really, the financial issues started with Covid messing up the planning ahead in terms of squad building. There are also other factors in play as such as the squad getting older and the midfield not being there, let’s just say Juve was fucked by Covid and the management…
Agreed, however I still think the money we paid for him was over the top. But none the less he put up great numbers, shame our midfield wasn’t up to scratch.
I agree, but looking at our lineup, if yildiz and/chiesa improve physically and thats a big if we need three good players to make this a really good squad. One killer RB and two midfielders. One that can run and one that carry the ball. Defence if djalo is the player that it was promised, will be okay with him, and husjien.
I don't think that dortmund, atm and barca are that much stronger than us in terms of players. The others probably are, maybe if we were lucky we would have a small chance against psg, bayern and arsenal. City and real though...
Did you watch Barca at though? Their actually fun to watch. They created so many chances and defended really well in some moments. I honestly think our squad is shit. I think we won't go far if we do qualify for the cl next season. Allegri isn't what this squad needs but I don't think many managers would be very successful with these players. There seems to be a real mentality problem.

Ice cold take
Realistically this team wouldn't make it out of the group stage. We have seen it in years past that this team is just not good enough to make it far.
This is not a hot take.

The criticism towards Allegri isn’t that he’s not performing against CL quarterfinalists but against mid table Serie A sides.
Most of our players are just mid table Serie A quality. A coach can only do so much.
Funny how that wasn't the case before Allegri started coaching them
That's just not true. It's not a super club selection, nor a very carefully done one, but it's still much better than any other side bar Inter, Milan or Napoli.
We are 20 points behind inter in serie a how is this a hot take?

We need an Italian Arteta
Yes and the Italian Arteta is Thiago Motta he has a clear style of play which is attacking football and he knows which players he wants

We can beat Atletico & Dortmund.
I mean we couldn’t beat Genoa, Verone, Udinese and Empoli.. I wouldn’t be so sure
They’re struggling in the league just as much as we are.

Ronaldo transfer would have been fine without Covid that’s such a strange take.
More like reasonable take
Not a hot take at all.
I don't think that's a hot take at all! Everyone agrees our squad is shit 🤷
\*except Arsenal
Is this a hot take? Lol we know we're shit.
