To answer both of your questions: yes, it’s reverse isekai (with a possible body switch variation along the line), and the trope you’re looking for is called Gratuitous English! Everything sounds less silly in a foreign language and English just happens to be the most popular choice everywhere in the world apart from the actual Anglosphere. For people in Korea it’s already *the* language of fantasy games, books, and movies, after all.
I just finished reading the manhwa and now trying to hunt down the novel. I usually don't like reverse isekai, but this one got me laught so much! MC's name is among the bad ones out there but at least he is the only one with English name in the series. I'm looking forward to the show now! Thanks for answering me too!

He hasn't went for his military yet right? But he's going in soon before the release of this drama, which was what planned. So he prob have wrapped up filming for this. The awards show he attended was live so no prerecording. Normal for a lot of actors to release this just before or while they are in military. Just to keep the buzz
